Yes, you read the title right. I'm having a friendly disagreement with one of my co-workers over this.
I have a memory of Jed telling his daughter Ellie May about her dead mom, then they hug and we get a close up of Jed with a tear in his eye.
My co-worker is convinced this never happened--that "The Beverly Hillbillies" never had that level of emotional depth. I can't agrue with her about that-- it wasn't exactly the world's deepest show. But I'm still convinced the hug/tear thing really happened.
Does anyone remember this scene, or anything like this, every happening on "The Beverly Hillbillies?"
