It's a stand-alone movie. I saw the first five minutes at Comic Con. Here's what I gathered (Spoilers):
Some guy in Arkham left a fortune in a graveyard. He needed help breaking out so he told Joker, who refused. Then, he told Penguin. Wouldn't you know it, Joker broke out. In the chaos that ensued, Penguin broke out too. Joker keeps Batman busy while Penguin goes searching for the treasure. Naturally, it's in a tomb with a cross on it...which is fairly common in the graveyard. Penguin picks the wrong tomb. He opens the coffin with his umbrella and cuts himself. A drop of blood lands on the corpse and badda bing badda boom, something vaampiric this way comes.

Is this the Batman from Batman TAS, and Justice League etc, or is this the Batman from Batman Year One called "The Batman"?

It is the Batman from the recent cartoon "The Batman", but not from Batman: Year One. Please don't mix these up even though the cartoon is supposed to be similar. Batman:Year One is good, while "The Batman" is very bad.
Sorry, I know I'm in the minority, but I like the "The Batman". I like new interpertation of the villians, espicially The Joker.

It was interesting, ill give it that. I just can't see Penguin being a martial artist. I mean, look at him! He's just so short and overwieght! Ah well, it was an acceptable way to spend my Saturday with no money, date or drivers license.
I watched it, and actually didn't think it was that bad. Not much different than what I would expect from a standard Batman 'Elseworlds' sort of tale ...

I actually watched the last half of this last night, and it wasn't bad. The guy who did Dracula's voice was pretty lame and I still can't stand the rasta-Joker or the weird shape of Batman's head, but it was kinda cool.

The animation is sort of nice. Smooth and fluid. The "re-imagining" of all of the characters and their new "looks" sucks. And I felt the story stank too. :ermm:
(But, on a positive note, season 4 of "Batman the Animated Series" and season 2 of "Superman the Animated Series" are - I believe - available for sale in December. Bruce Timm and Paul Dini are my heroes! :classic: Now if only WB would make the seasons of Justice League available for purchase...)
