I'm trying to get a better understanding about general values of figures. Like it sounds like some people will usually trade a regular U for 3-4 Vets. Hope this makes sense.

Example:
Popular U = 2 Normal U's
Normal U = 2 Low end or old U's
Normal U = 3-4 Vets
Normal U = 2 LE

If some people that have traded for a long time can assist me in understanding the general values, it'll help me and other newbie's in future trades.

Thanks everyone!

Since the value for LEs and Uniques can vary quite a bit, I'd recommend checking places like e-bay to try and determine an approximate dollar amount for the different figures. Some LEs, for example, are either so rare or so (relatively) powerful, that they might fetch 2 or 3 times what a Unique might.

In other words, there really isn't any hard and fast rule for determining value. Supply and demand will cause last week's hot ticket to be this week's cold fish.

In the end, though, *you* partially determine how much things are worth. If someone does not offer you something you like, don't trade. If there is something you really want, trade a lot for it.

I would recommend looking at ebay prices for a "general" feel of value. Values of U's vary so much based upon playability, perceived rarity and popularity of the character.

No one is going to trade their KC supes for four figs like: Parasite, Desaad, Mr. Bones, Brother blood and such.

Some traders will trade their uniques for nons, I for one, and many out there will not trade most uniques for any number of nons.

alright thanks!! I currently check ebay (mainly) and sales/trades on this site to get a rule of thumb so at least I got that much figured out ;)

Just remember that when you use Ebay and the like (which I also suggest using to get an example of what's currently "hot") that some people tend to value their pieces on their own. In other words, when you go out on the hunt and see that someone has a Matches Malone that you want and you know he sells for 10 bucks on ebay, he may not care how much it goes for and will only trade it if LE Polaris is offered. In this case, pointing out the value of a piece on ebay will usually return the response "then go to Ebay."

One of things I suggest you use ebay for is to get an idea of what YOU might get or give for a certain piece. The person on the other end may think that Desaad they have is one-of-aknd and deserves special attention. That's their choice, too.
