OK, one of my friends is going to run a Games Week Extravaganza and I will be helping out with 'Clix. Since we will be introducing the game to a bunch of people, we want to play the Quick Start Rules, except with 200 point teams.

I will be donating a bunch of spare 'Clix as teams/prize for playing. So, keeping it with (post-AW) tourney legal pieces (don't want to give new players figs they can't take to a tourney next week...), what 200 point teams would you recommend for newbies and why?

Already have:

R (I) Joker
R (I) Scarecrow
R (I) Cheetah
R Blackfire

One TA to deal with, and a good spread of powers. And the figs pretty much degrade with damage, vice switching from "running shot" mode to "charge" mode or somesuch other shift.

R (I) Superman

Flight. Three points under, and probably a lesson about focusing on one figure for a team. But, gee, he's shiny and tempting to take...

R (I) Batman
E (I) Aquaman
V (I) Robin

Three TA, including an orphan TA. Three figures, two actions, and Willpower.

R Moon Knight
E (CM) Daredevil
E Songbird
R Power Man

Stealth & short range. Charging brick. And one, semi-Swiss Army Knife figure.

Thanx.

Oh, somewhat themed would help as well. Helps not to see a hodgepodge of comic figures.

How about Teen Titans?

They have a good amount of options for team building, for example:
E. Starfire = 77
V. Robin = 65
R. Raven = 54

Total = 196

I could see Raven being a bit tricky for a new player to master, so you could always use E. Cyborg or someone else instead.

Personally, I think that every one of your teams would be a good "jumping-off" point for a new player; except the team of just R. Superman.

I say that because using just one fig may not be the most condusive way to learn the game.

I commend you for helping to keep Heroclix strong. Thank you...
