Let the discussions flow. Likes, dislikes, classic film or overhyped trash, and DONT FORGET to place an Overall Rating when youre done.

Its easy, just give a Rating from 1 (Jaws 4:The Revenge) to 10 (Jaws), and thats it. Course I'd love to have you all give reasons as to why you feel it deserves this Overall Rating, and more than encourage discussions with us all about them.

So, what say you all?

A memorable comedy that, despite some fairly dated humor, withstands the test of time pretty darn well. Even for it's period I think there are funnier movies, but Caddyshack is hilarious in many ways. Obviously it's a quotable and it brings out the best of some really great comedians.

Ah, reaching back to a time when Rodney Dangerfield was alive, Bill Murray was doing slapstick, and Chevy Chase was still getting work. It was a happy time - a time when a Kenny Loggins song on the soundtrack was a novel thing and a funny gopher puppet could drive a sequel. It was also a more wholesome time, that era before the dawn of Porky's, when a teen grossout comedy could survive on some potty jokes and an occasional bared breast - without having to resort to full frontal nudity and the violation of baked goods and woodwind instruments. Perhaps it hasn't aged as well as classics like Animal House - but some things, like shouting "Noonan!" at an opponent before he attempts a key die roll, are timeless. A solid 8 from me.

"Cinderella story. Former greens keeper now here at Augusta. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!"

I love this movie! I give it a 9.0!

Ah, Hail you still my Nooonan quote. :) Eh, Ill just have to go with "Be The Ball, nah nah nah nah nah." :)

Caddyshack is one great comedy in my opinion. Classic comedy actors in Chase, Murray and Dangerfield. Classic comedic lines (weve quote how many already, and theres still "Youll get nothing, and Like It!" Something I use myself in the many years since this film)

Very very funny film, with loads of classic scenes as well, and even a very cool song from Mr Loggins, which started his 80s run of songs for feature films it seems.

All in all, a movie I think wil definately stand the test of time, and one I could watch today for the umpteenth time (and my family for the first), and wed all get a real laugh from it.

Caddyshack - 9 / 10

A very funny movie that should never have had a sequel made. When Chevy Chase is "on", he's on. He can be incredibly funny in his subtleties. Rodney Dangerfield was a blast. I even like the intro song "I'm alright." by Kenny Loggins.

It's a fun flick that I would watch with a group of friends for a bunch of laughs.

5/10.
And that's assuming the parts of the dialogue I didn't understand were really funny.

It's fun watching those old SNL'ers, but kind of slow.

Sorry, but I had to resurrect this to vote.

It has three things that a comedy needs to be perfect, IMO: variety, characterization and quotability. And screw "Napoleon Dynamite", THIS is the most quotable movie ever. In teh EVAR.

Thus, 10/10.

10 out ouf 10. I understand not liking Monty Hall or Benny Hill, but anyone who does not laugh at something in Caddyshack is just plain weird. The most quoteable movie with a great cast. This is not plot driven, but it did not need to be. Now go out and be the ball!

It mixes two of my favourite genres: outcast vs preppies and sports comedies and it has a ton of classic scenes, but Caddyshack never blew me away like it do so many others.

Yeah it is funny, but for me it isn't 10 out of 10 funny, it's more like..

8 out of 10

I just recently watched this film the other day and I was severely disappointed. I was expecting a laugh riot but all I could muster were a few laughs here and there. Rodney Dangerfield was the best part of the film by far.

5/10
