Go Giganta! Soon my superbattle of the Superfriends and the Legion of Doom will be complete....and the Legion of Doom will get its collective butt HANDED to them!!

Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman will take care of that....

Although, Sinestro and Luthor could be some great powerhouses, Grundy takes forever to die, although we don't have the right Brainiac, the PB could wreck our Superheroes. It would just be fun though!

As much as I love the girls (and I'm SO happy they both got made) Rita and Giganta, I have to go with Atom Smasher instead. I'm a big JSA team player so he'll see the most use from me.

Heh. First vote for Colossal Boy. The Legion needs a brick. Bad. With him and Shadow Lass out there along with Wildfire and Cosmic Boy for cheap TK, the Legion could actually be a somewhat decent team to use provided you've got adequate Wildcard bait on your team.

Atom-Smasher for me! JSA is my favorite DC team, and they need their big man!

Giganta would be second, due to her inclusion in the Legion of Doom on the Superfriends cartoon, as well as her recent appearance on the Society.

I just am not too familiar with the rest of those characters.

I would have said Validus but that is a really ugly figure (doesn't look like Validus I remember)

However, after looking at Chemo I'm a little worried. Validus should be a mean, ugly, terrifying beatstick. I'd like to see a combination of Mongul with V Titanium mans damage reducers and a 2 or 4 range to reflect his brain bolts.

As someone noted; He's the reason the Fatal Five are able to give the Legion so much trouble.

I went with Atom Smasher.

I'm a huge JSA fan and the choice was obvious for me.

My second vote would be for Micro Lad [as he likes to be called].

Had to go with Collassal Boy. As many of you know, I've been begging WK for that character for 2 years, first as a Big-Fig, and then as a giant when they came out. Then, it finally happened...

Gotta go with Alloy here. I'm not a powergamer in any sense of the word, but I love the KC beatsticks. And as was said in the other Giants thread, just think about the giant's 2 square adjacency with plasticity AND the KC TA.

I have to go with Atom Smasher as the one I am most looking forward to. My only concern is this the only way we are going to get him? I remember it said that the collector sets are for figs we won't get in a regular set and Atom Smasher along with a few of these other giant figs deserve a r/e/v set instead of a single fig. That is just my opinion though.

Tough call.

I'm already biased to Chemo because of his preview today.

I wanted the Legion figures.

Alloy's playability should be pretty good.

Giganta is ... Giganta. :grin:

Not quite as enamored with Atom Smasher since his giant ability can't really be exploited through the JSA TA.

And my main interest in Rita Farr is what they'll do for a Doom Patrol TA.

Okay, getting off the pot and voting for Colossal Boy.

Wow. You guys really need to find a way to read "The Fatal Five," from Action Comics #s 352-353. Or "Escape of the Fatal Five" and "Fight for the Championship of the Universe" from Action Comics #s 365-366 (which serves as an introduction to Shadow Lass, as well).

I mean, I love the JSA as much as the next person -- but you guys are really missing out on some fun adventures with the Legion of Super-Heroes...

I voted for Atom Smasher with Valinus a close second choice (Fatal Five Fan) since I had to put down one of them. But my favorite one would be to vote for ALL of them since I'm looking forward to getting all seven of them.

I went with Rita Farr AKA Elasti-Girl (What? Are they afraid to put that name on her dial? LOL!.)

Finally! Our first Doom Patrol member, unless you count Beast Boy. I can only hope they will have a team ability. Maybe something along the lines of the original FF Team power.

Marvel has been giving big time attention to Alpha Flight, so it's time for DC to get going on their very own hard luck heroes.

We've even got our first DP villains in Monsuer Mallah and The Brain.

er...That may be a bad omen given the team members track record.

I'll bet on an alternate Titans TA for Doom Patrol. But the original FF TA would be perfect for them, since they die all the time...

Personally, though, I hope they do the Doom Patrol the way they did the LoSH, and start off making the classix first. And by that I mean Rita, Steve, Cliff, and Larry, and Niles. Worry about the rest later on.

And I know it's blasphemy, but I'd completely forget the Morrison DP. That series was just way too "artsy" to tyranslate into Clix (although Mr. Nobody would make a cool sculpt.)

More is always good, but Giganta gets my vote as the fig I'm looking forward to most. Any show that makes DC characters beyond Superman and Batman household names deserves a place of honor in this game.

The Legion needed a giant figure more than anyone else, and they're getting it. Chemo adds a nice centerpiece to the Suicide Squad, and the JSA get another horse in the stable.

Alloy and Rita Farr don't do much for me. From the descriptions I read on Validus, it sounds like he should start as a Charge/Super Strength brick, and get some dirty Psychic Blast clicks mid-dial like Darkseid. Whether or not you know this character, that's just cool! :devious:

I had to vote for Colossal Boy (and his fellow Legionnaires seem to be ignoring the whole "Micro Lad"
business themselves, so I applaud the use of his classic name). The LSH has been sorely lacking in
close-combat folks for a while, and if they make him a transporter it'd solve his apparent lack of a flight stand (which might pose more problems that it would solve).

If the Validus we've seen had had the transparent brain-case, it might've edged out my vote, but even
then, I'm still happy we're getting Gim. Nevertheless, the rest of the giants look great, and hopefully their
dials will echo the detail of their sculpts. Chemo alone is going to be a mainstay of the 500-pt. Suicide
Squad team I'm working on ...

I want to own Atom Smasher the most, but since I think they'll get him done right, if predicably (JSA, Charge, Quake, Super-Strength, Impervious, Invulnerablity, Toughness), I want to Validus' dial more, just out of curiousity about how powerfully he was created. Even if he's not the unstoppable Pre-Crisis monster who swatted Superboy and Mon-El like gnats, he should still be horribly powerful, maybe something like V Doomsday with 6 range or so.

If I could only have one or two, I'd probably take Atom Smasher and Validus to complete their teams-- but I have always thought Chemo was very bizarre and cool-looking, and am happy to be getting him. If there are Metal Men in the next set, all the better (Alloy does not count).

When the first announced Giants I had my 7 and Chemo wa sout for Brimstone but since seeing he is A) SS B)cool looking and C) reading COIE Im glad we have him although Im still sad that Brimstone will probably never be seen but there is not really a fig I could drop. Scarily I think the person i could most drop is ATom Smasher eveen thopugh he was the first giant I wanted but that just says how cool this ste will be
