Mine is Legacy, still!
Then Ultimates, Armor Wars, Cosmic Justice, and Mutant Mayhem.

HeroClix has assisted me in seeing how much of a DC fanboy I really am. I voted Legacy, but would've put Collateral Damage in a heartbeat had it been a choice.
(I had almost been convinced I was a Marvel zombie for awhile, as my Marvel books outpulled my DC... but quantity != quality, I suppose.)

I had to go with Legacy. There was no such thing as a bad fig in that set.

Fantastic Forces. 2nd favourite set in terms of taking every figure into account. (CD being first)

What Was Your Favorite Set To Date?
The set that I would like to date the most is Indy.
Seriously my favorite was MM since that was the first set I won a tournament LE.

Legacy is still my overall choice. That set had so many great clix. Plus the magazine detailed review just added to the awe.

CoH/V, just cause I love the game. Also, ove the course of six games, Ghost Widow has died once. She is just too cool.

I go with Clobbering Time again, the sentimental favorite. Legacy was a great play set, but as a DC novice, none of their sets really had an impact on me.
I went with Clobberin' Time.
What's not to like about that set?
The 616-FF, Doctor Doom, Nightcrawler... just to name a select few.

I still have to go with Ultimates since I liked so many characters in it. I could have easily gone with Unleashed or Legacy though.

hmmm
there was no "what's your favorite indy set poll"
CoV/CoH
vs.
Indyclix
CoV/CoH. My Captain Mako has easily taken out guys three times his point cost, and Ghost Widow is just stupid-good. I kind of want Lord Recluse, too, even if he isn't very good - more of a "just for the sake of having him" thing. I really don't care about any of the heroes.
Mostly I just love Captain Mako. Then again, maybe I feel some kind of special affinity for him because my first screen-name was Makomako Man, making Captain Mako the second person/character I've heard of, the first being me, who acknowledges the coolness of the mako shark.

I voted Legacy as well. That set had decent attacks defenses and damges all down the line. KC Green Lantern, Ares, KC Flash, Batman Veteran, Captain Atom, and lets not forget that crazy joker with a rainbow dial. This set was just dynamite, there will never be another set like it... I LOVE LEGACY!!! this is the set all clix should be based from, bar none.

Legacy's short print have anything to do with the number of people who liked it? Legacy I guess covered all the bases there were good uniques, it had super rares, and the REV's were decent sinestro, joker, batman, power girl, ect. I under stand their high vote... However Fantastic Forces is holding strong at number two screams to dc that they need Transporters for their brand as well, their (FF) set didn't have great playable uniques, but then again they did come with super rares which alone isn't that great but pile that on to Transporters and giant figs you now have something that has changed the game in a major way.
Aww... I can't believe more people didn't vote for Powerbomb!
Legacy.
Take a look at my Signature Line.

I'm among the rare breed...I liked Xplosion...
does Legacy get a few votes just b/c of its rarity of uniques???
Mutant Mayhem was my favorite, hands down.
I liked the set for the sealed format. There were a few high-cost power figures (Gladiator and Nefaria), but they weren't so powerful that a well balanced team couldn't take them down.
Another reason I like the the set is that it has my favorite support figure ever: R Domino.
Other than that, I have to love MM because it is the set that first brought us feats. I love Pounce and Auto Regen!

Talking about rare breeds... My favorite is Infinity Challenge. I am first to blow the dust off that set to play it in Unrestricted. Most of the classic Marvel characters were covered and, despite their age, several of them are still QUITE playable. Also, the set size was LARGE with the same number of Uniques, meaning fewer dupes. Just my .02.
does Legacy get a few votes just b/c of its rarity of uniques???
Not because of the Rarity of them,
but because of the Quality.
085 (Oracle)
086 (Hush)
087 (Wonder Woman)
088 (Ares)
089 (Ultraman)
090 (General Zod)
091 (Prometheus)
092 (Mongul)
093 (Hawkman)
094 (Red Robin)
095 (Flash)
096 (Green Lantern)
Nary a dog in them.
It's just that Hush, Wonder Woman, Ultraman, and General Zod
are not awesome cut-throat pieces.
(but still not really bad)
But for fan-appeal, the Legacy Uniques were collectively the best group yet.

Unleashed and Legacy, edged out just slightly for Unleashed. I'd say Legacy outright, as it was my first marquee 1st place win, but Unleashed gave us KC Superman, which led to the now famous moment of "Anyone actually pulls KC Superman for the tournament, he better have the testicular fortitude to play him," uttered by the Frontman
Guess which figure Frontman pulled?
Loved both marquees. But Unleashed was a great set.
I just wished this survey broke it down by universe, but I guess then Indy would get more votes than realistic, as many haven't bought "City of Villains" unless they actually planned on playing the computer game.
For Marvel, it would have to be a toss up. Armour Wars for sheer cool selection and variety, but Mutant Mayhem had a ton of my favorite characters. Cloak and Dagger, man!

A lot of the R/E/V's are really, really good. And as was mentioned ALL of the Uniques are fairly playable.

Legacy=Oracle.
'Nuff said for this fan of "Birds of Prey"
I voted for every set that had Power Girl in it. No surprises there, I suppose. :)

This is tough.
I really liked Legacy, but I really hate Power Girl.
Thus, I will push and say that none of them are my favorites, all of them have flaws, and I won't stop whining until Danger Room comes out. That is all.

Legacy, for all the above mentioned reasons.
has any one heard any thing about horror clix
Legacy really DID have a lot of power pieces in it, and it still had it's share of support pieces too (Jynx is seldom seen on competetive teams, but nobody doubts her ability and value).
I started playing right around Legacy's release, so I didn't really understand it's value until I compared the pieces to ones from other sets. They just don't match up.
And of course, it was the set that produced KC Hawkman, so you know I like it. ;)

Clobberin' Time.
V Thor was a beast back in the day, and V Dr. Doom is still one of my favorite figures.
Not too mention how long Nightcrawler was going for $50+

I bet if most of the players activer for the first few sets voted...that the earlier sets would have a higher standing. The later sets popularity in some part has to do with current players voting for the sets they have experienced the most.
With that said...I went with Infinity challenge as it had most of the figures I use on my theme teams... a little to do with the sheer number of characters.

Me, I had to go with Indy. Don't much like sets that are all about too much power (ie Legacy), but oh so love sets that are all about the variety (Armour Wars, Collateral Damage, Mutant Mayhem). And Indy sits on top of the variety as far as characters go. It's just a shame that there was quite so much stealth and blades - not something I'm averse to in my teams, but I don't think it helped Indy all in all.
And any set with Dredd, Anderson, Hershey, Death and his boys, Hellboy and Lobster Johnson scores hellah high on the cool charts.
PS For the sake of appreciating variety, I'll add that I'm just chuffed we've had quite so many sets and seen such a huge number of obscure characters. When the first sets came out, who'd have thought we'd wind up with Ambush Bug or Stiltman?

The only set with 20 defnese pieces is LEGACY that is why that set owns,
personaly I am a big fan of 20 as any combat value,
KC flash
KC green lantern (still unplayable for me though)
Hypertime flash (20 range hypersonic cannot be beat)
Shield001

the fact that legacy had so many playable figs Is why I liked it.
Plus it had SRs, ICWO feat, 4 KC figs, etc
Jynx is my fave support piece shes been on just about (but not quite) every team I have made. Sinestro is one of my fave villians and I love what they did with him in legacy (GL sinestro was my first mod and probably only until I break down and make a metal wings Archangel). Roy harper jr. LE is one of my fave figs too. theres alot more that I like about the set.
The one thing I probably dont like about the set is the 20 defs.
Colateral damage comes in second but the atk values are a bit low, but I like all the wild cards and mystics, plus the reckage theme and more.

Favorite Marvel:
Clobberin' Time - Thor, Dr. Doom, the FF, SHIELD, and several Avengers
Favorite DC:
Legacy - JSA! Super-rares, good feats, etc
Overall:
Clobberin' Time - still my favorite over all set.
As more of a collector than a player (I play, but not well or enough), I like Fantastic Forces. It's the quality of the sculpts and paint the gets me. Though I've only seen a few pieces, it looks like Collateral Damage may be the 2nd best by this measure.

Legacy.
And then either CD, CT, or FF.
I sorta figured that power creep legacy would come out ahead.
Don't write it off to power creep. Fanboys for Marvel have to split their votes across twice as many sets as DC (if you ignore Universe/Icons). And if you look @ the split the top two Marvel just about equal the top DC.

DC: Hypertime

I would have voted collateral dmg (but it's not in the poll anyway!!) but even tho the figs and poses are great, i don't know DC well.
COV was great, mainly because ghost widow is just awesome and hot
