And once again I will give a lot of people the opportunity to ask "How could you?"
My vote: 5/10.
I watched the movie because everybody said how great it was, but I just don't see the appeal.
The very last scene was neat, though, because of Helena Bonham-Carter.
I'll say it. How could you!
This is a great movie. The plot, the characters, the whole darned thing. Even the suprise ending, which I totally did not see comming. The problem with suprise ending movies is, they are usually not as good the 2nd time. This is bot the case for Fight Club. When I watch it again, it's still just as good. I don't look at it the same anymore, but I still enjoy watching it. Now, I don't give 10's (because I believe the perfect movie doesn't exist), But, this is about as close as I come.
9.5

For the most part, I'm with Nort on this...I wasn't that impressed with this movie. It's good, but I don't consider it to be a classic at all. Some people will continue to call it a classic and that's fine, but I just don't buy it. I get the whole "man is meant to be primal" thing and that the everyday working stiff isn't in touch with that and blah blah blah...I even out right subscribe to this point 100%...I just don't think it's a huge revelation that hasn't already been touched on in better films. Some people say it's the modern A Clock Work Orange....I think it retreads a few too many of the observations made in that film to be considered it's equal. However, it is well shot and the acting is strong from almost everyone, but it's screenplay and directorial style are only moderately original and refreshing in perspective.
Rating: 7.0
I'm not a huge movie buff, but I did find this one really well directed and very refreshing. It has a very different style (like the whole "you wake up in Kennedy" part), and the surprise ending is completely unexpected (by definition) and subtly done. I studied the book in English class, so maybe I'm a little bit biased. It is true that a lot of the ideas was taken from other sources (especially the "only when you hit bottom can you grow" or something like that), but it made for a great and interesting movie, better made for our current time period.
Rating: 8.0

Some people say it's the modern A Clock Work Orange....
I'd agree with that...mainly because I think that movie is really, really bad.
The book is so much better it isn't even funny.
Well, at least I couldn't laugh.

I've actually proposed the argument that it is indeed one of the few films that exceeds the greatness of the book, especially the final few chapters...besides my initially despising the film's popularity in some less cerebral circles for it's violence and nudity...I saw the film, loved the book, hated the film, read the book again and saw the film over and over again since...the film is better and more significant to films in general than the book is to respective medium. Obviously you don't agree...perhaps DTM will choose Clockwork as his 30th film to rate and I could elaborate further. Until then...Fight Club was well...just OK. :)
Great film, definitely one you need to see at least twice. There are many things to like about this film. I liked the commentary on modern life in general. There are probably people out there scared that characters like that in the movie are out there ready to stir up anarchy. Good sense of humour too. There is a lot of cool stuff in there and then the twist kind of puts a different spin on it all. That twist just totally spun me around, I just had to see the film again soon after.
It's a great film and again something you need to see twice but after that I wouldn't see it that often. It's great to watch once in a while, so I will score it a 9.

There are always some who will say that the book is better, ALWAYS. Often these people just like to say this to show that they have read the book and hope that perhaps their ability to read will impress you even if the book is Ghostbusters 2 or Adventures in Babysitting. This is one example (like trainspotting) where if someone tells you that the book is better they should perhaps read more books or maybe they should just accept that not every film will or should be exactly the same as the book. This movie is great and secretly all of the literary scenesters know it but are too faux cool to admit it.
That said this book is worth a look, it is a fun quick easy read, I am just tired of always hearing that the book is better, just rate the film on its own merits I bet that 90 % of the time there is an old screenplay that is better but it doesn't make the product any less good, maybe just not as good as it could have been.
That said I rate hard so a 8.1 out of 10 is an outstanding rating coming from me.

It is okay but massively over-rated I think. I'd give it a 6.
9.5/10, it was and is still a great movie. The final scene with the Pixies song starts at the same time has the explosions, just brilliant

Ive only seen this movie once and it had me enthralled right the way through. Very enjoyable!! I'm looking forward to watching it again.
Im going to rate it a 9
Great :classic:.
The story is great. I don't care so much about the social commentary (it does bring some funny moments, but that's not the main interest of the movie as far as I'm concerned). I see it more as a twisted love story :p.
Besides, and though it's a "surprise ending" movie, it gets more and more interesting when you watch it again, if only to notice all the little hints that the narrator and Durden are the same person.
Acting is excellent.
Music is great.
Cinematography is good (kudos for the inserts of Durden at the beginning).
9/10.

I think it's a great movie in most respects. And it's very watchable for such a heavy message.
The performances by Norton, Pitt and Carter are all top-notch. That's what really makes this movie stand out is those three.
9/10
Awesome movie. Edward Norton is a great actor, and Brad Pitt is one of my favorite actors (since 12 Monkeys). Great story. Fine acting.
Tyler Durden says: use soap.
9/10
I usually like anything with Edward Norton. Pretty good film.
7.25/10
