Crossovers cannon?

so are crossovers considered in continuity (im talking inter company crossovers, like marve VS DC)

I just read umm marvel DC crossovers 4 and I was just wandering, I dont think it changed anything in any major way but it had some interesting strories, like supes being Galactus harold (which leads me to fear a power cosmic supes click in the future, but thats not likly)

JLA/Avengers arguably is in DC continuity (although no-one remembers it, the cosmic egg that resulted has shown up). None of the others are, definitely.
