I have a 400 point game tomorrow. I want to use my new Dr. Doom and this is the team I came up with:

V Dr. Doom
Sidekick
Armor Piercing
ICWO
V Lockjaw
ICWO
U Oracle
R Intergang Medic
R Jinx
R Jean Grey
2 point pog

The idea is for lockjaw to sidekick and sit next to Doom after doing transporter attacks. This is to up his defense, and give mastermind fodder. Also, Lockjaw can ferry the pog/Jean for mastermind fodder when he's not transporter attacking.

What does hcrealms think?

Damnit. Obviously that should be "chance"

Sidekick seems a waste of points. The whole point of Doom's high Def and mastermind is that you want him to get attacked. If someone actually hits him, you mastermind. You'd be better served with a cheap bat ally like robin to give him stealth. You also want a cheap ultimates like V black widow or a tbolted wasp so he can see through stealth. Since it's obviously an unrestricted tourney, try a rookie psylocke. She's awesome with enhancing him and xmening him after he pushes.

How bout this:
V Dr. Doom with armor piercing and protected: 216
Starter robin: 22
Tbolted wasp: 24
R Psylocke: 29
V Enchantress: 75
R Destiny: 20
1,2,2,2,2 point pogs: total 9 points
Double time on one pog: 5 points

Doom has stealth, anti stealth, an xmen/enhancer to heal him when he pushes. If he somehow takes a big hit, use protected. If he somehow takes another big hit, use the suicide squad with him to push a pog to death and heal him. Double time is a great way to move the pog twice their movement while killing them for suicide squad. You might have better chances with this team. Good luck.

When the new rules come into effect, you can tbolt to MOE and have doom attack every turn. Not fair at all.

OK based on your suggestions, I moved more towards the wild card flexibility, and removed sidekick:

V Dr. Doom
Protected
Armor Piercing
V Jinx
R Mandroid Armor
V Enchantress
T Jarvis
T Alfred Pennyworth

7 points of pogs, one with double time

I unfortunately don't have a Rookie Psylocke, but I think V Jinx fits in well as a secondary attacker to replace her

I think Psylocke served dual purposes: Cheap Enhancement and X-men healing battery. If you do not have one, how about using Raven instead? She is a very good defensive figure:
Barrier to protect Doom
PC to hinder your enemiesfrom hitting Dooms defense
Titans TA to absorb Dooms pushing damage
Support to heal Doom if he gets badly hurt
And finally, Regeneration to heal her up when she gets to the end of her dial, to start all over again.

I'd recommend using the Icons Rookie - the Unleashed Rookie is 4 points cheaper, but lacks Barrier. If you have 12 points to spare, Automatic Regeneration is a good investment.

I see what you mean. I'll drop Jinx and use the Rookie Raven, since she conveniently costs the exact same amount.

I would also get rid of double time on the pog (even though it was my suggestion :p ) in this case, cuz that would allow you to tbolt jarvis to ultimates, giving you stealth and antistealth.

Sorry for the double post, but I also don't think you really need tk, as doom is going to be carrying guys with him anyway. If you drop the mandroid you can put ICWO on doom and enchantress. Then you can drop a 2 point pog, giving you 10 points left. Use these 10 points to put in alicia masters and mj watson, both are awesome with doom--yet another way to heal him.

That's true, he can't carry if he's TK'd, and I don't have any other taxi's. Advice noted.

TB Jarvis to Ultimates and add Alfred.

If u put double time on a pog when he moves he will die from the click he will take the only way u don't take a click if itwas a transp

yep, that's the point. he can double his movement to run next to doom. This will kill the 7 point pog and give a free regen to doom (who's copying the suicide squad TA)

he already had alfred on the team. :p

All the advice after my last post was already incorporated into my team, which I won handily with:

V Dr. Doom
Protected
ICWO
Armor Piercing
V Enchantress
ICWO
R Raven
T Jarvis
Thunderbolts
T Alfred
2x Double Time
10 points of pogs

As it worked out, There was only one opponenent, who also brought Dr. Doom:
V Dr. Doom
Brilliant Tactician
Armor Piercing
R Doombot
E Doombot
E Taskmaster
T Jarvis
Thunderbolts
T FF map token (can't remember name)
R Intergang Medic
R Robin

He used the FF token to share Doom's high defense with everyone and push down doom for healing, and then the standard wildcard abuse with robin and intergang medic.

Suicide Squad proved extremely effective, allowing me to push or double time pogs to heal up doom and Enchantress when necessary. As soon as I took out his medic, my team had a distinct advantage due to the healing of Raven and mostly Suicide Squad. Enchantress avoided a number of attacks with her shape change and super senses, and that's not even with the enhanced shape change that will be coming with the PAC update.

In the first game, he grouped a number of figures together, which I rolled over with double energy explosion. All in all the team was very effective.
