At Last, we can CLOSE Matches 5 thru 8, and start the Second Half of Round 1.

So without further adieu, I give you your next SHW battle in:

Paul Freeman (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, Aces: Iron Eagle III, Without A Clue)

VS.

Patrick Stewart (X-Men Series, Star Trek: TNG Series, Dune, Excalibur)

And our Randomly Chosen Arena for this Event:

Skull Island (from King Kong) – A remote and forgotten island, deep in the heart of the mysterious oceans, and protected from the outside by a high and rigged wall of rock and stone. Inside this Lost World house creatures well thought lost to time, and to ones deepest imaginings (which have been removed for this TOC). Densely filled jungles as far as the eye can see, covering the numerous cliffs and ridges, hills and valleys, that make up this dreaded location. Off in the distance, all manner of sounds can be heard, from all manner of beings, from all of ones deepest nightmares.

Id like to take a second to thank Magnito for his many amazing terrains during this SHW TOC, Grinner for creating these randomly generated match ups and Lurker for allowing me to peak in on these TOCs during my working day. Thanks guys.

Which of these combatants will be the next to move to Round 2, and which will be the first to Fall? As always, that is entirely up to YOU.

Thanks all, and lets hope this is the first of many cool matches in this series of TOCs.

Hmm... would a telepath do anything to Ivan Ooze? I don't think so, he's a magic ooze being who used mind control himself.

I don't think a sword, a sonic weapon, or even a phaser would actually take him down either. He was really powerful. And has the brains of Belloq now too.

My vote: Paul. Too bad, Patrick's a great actor.

Yeah, I was just thinking that Xavier pulled one of the folks he can't do much to. Then factor in just what a beast he was in the old Movie ToC and I don't think that Stewart's other roles can take him down.

Another vote for Paul Freeman to advance.

I dont know guys, I seem to think the opposite of you both and that Xavier may be one of the few here who could actually take Ooze. Ivan Ooze, from our last Movie TOC, was Vastly physically durable, but Xavier wont attack him physically, nothing he has would stand a chance. Hell be attacking his mind, and Ooze isnt a robot, hes an alien being (with no known psychic defenses that weve seen), and Lord knows Xaiver has used his mental powers on non-humans before. Where Ooze may be near undefeatable physically, Id give the battle of wills and of the mind to Xavier over him, personally. Plus Paul Freeman has plenty of other human roles, which Xavier should be able to manipulate and control just fine, so thats going to hurt the overall Freeman combatant a bit as well. Overall, I think that Xavier should be able to affect an aliens mind just fine (not easily in this case, but with supreme effort yes), and that as insanely tough Ooze is physically, that may very well be Stewarts Ace In The Hole win here.

My Vote - Patrick Stewart

I'm with DTM here. Ooze's mind should be close enough to human for X's powers to affect him. Ooze is very physically resistant, but his mind should be a nice place to exploit. Plus, all of Paul's other roles also have minds, so, I see know reason for Patrick's ace in the hole not to come into play. My vote...
PATRICK STEWART

I agree with DTM as well. Just because his name is Ooze does not automatically make him resistant to the Prof's immensely powerful psychic attacks. I got to vote for Captain Jean Luc Picard of the USS Enterprise.

VOTE: Patrick Stewart

Y'know what, I'm switching my vote.

I still think that Ooze will provide Freeman with some solid defense against Xavier, but I think it'll slow him down enough that the all-mighty phaser can mess him up.

Patrick Stewart to advance.

Note: He can teleport (and in fact send his minions FTL) too.

Just because his name is Ooze does not automatically make him resistant to the Prof's immensely powerful psychic attacks.

I was thinking more 'magical being with mind-control abilities of his own' that'd give him resistance. He was controlling hundreds of people at once in the movie.

I think that I agree with the general thoughts. Prof X has experience with non-humans, so I think that he could break through Ooze's mind.

I don't really think Ooze has any particular defense to phychic attacks that we know of. Just beacuse Paul has his own mind control means that he can't be a victim of X's, who we know, with some outsourcing, is quite the powerful mentalist.

Vote: Patrick Stewart

I must say this is a very good argument. Ooze is a magical being of SHW level power, with a non-organic mind, who also seems to have mind control powers of his own. That and he can teleport possibly straight onto Strewart (who while vastly powerful mentally, has no superhuman physical durability at all) and summon Oozlings, is quite the argument for the Pro Freeman side, I must say.

OK, Ill remove my vote for Stewart, as this just got much closer in my mind.
