Its easy, just give a Rating from 1 (Jaws 4:The Revenge) to 10 (Jaws), and thats it. Course I'd love to have you all give reasons as to why you feel it deserves this Overall Rating, and more than encourage discussions with us all about them.
So, what say you all?
Next Film: ??????
OK, I guess Ill start this one off. A friend of mine rates Field Of Dreams as his afavorite film to come out of the 80s. While I certainly wont go that far, I will say that it is a very enjoyable, heartwarming, and faith inducing movie nonetheless. Kevin Costner as a going broke farmer, who upon hearing strange spritual voice out in his field spends the last remaining money he and his family have building a baseball diamond. Soon afterwards he begins to see ghostly players of all (played mainly by Ray Liotta) playing on this field, showing a true enjoyment of once again being able to enjoy the game they loved so much. Sending him on a quest to find an aging baseball great who left the game before his time, along with a friend to help him along the way (James Earl Jones), Costner must ignore all of what he knows is real and the bad times that lie ahead if he continues this route, and drive on solely from faith to complete this task, which will ultimately rejoin him with his own dead father in the end. "Is this heaven?" "No......this is Iowa"
A very well acted and well written story that really got you interested right off the bat (pun intended), leaving you interested in finding out what was going on throughout it all, and what was going to happen in the end. While its not my favorite film from the 80s, nor my favorite "80s film" (since I think this isnt locked into any specific area all too much), it is a very enjoyable and interesting movie nonetheless.

I haven't seen it, never heard of it before, actually.
Can I rate it nonetheless?
Because as far as I'm concerned there's only one thing more boring than baseball: movies about baseball.
Youve never seen Rocky or The Terminator, and youve never even heard of Field of Dreams? Sheesh EN, you do like movies right. :)
Oh, and FoD isnt really a baseball movie per se, its more a film about faith, and believing in it against all odds.

Seen it, but not in years. It was pretty good, as I recall, but can't remember it well enough to rate it. Sorry.

The greatest Twilight Zone movie ever. Seriously. Field of Dreams is a Twilight Zone episode disguised as a "baseball" movie. Don't believe me? Watch it again. If you haven't watched it before now, do yourself a favor and go rent it. It's a wonderful movie. I would write more on the wonderfulness (is that even a word? :) ) of this movie but time is against me at the momment. I'll just say this is easily one of my top ten favorite films to watch. It's just a perfect little movie. And if you don't get a little misty eyed at the end, you just don't have a heart.
