Its easy, just give a Rating from 1 (Jaws 4:The Revenge) to 10 (Jaws), and thats it. Course I'd love to have you all give reasons as to why you feel it deserves this Overall Rating, and more than encourage discussions with us all about them.

Interesting question.
On its own the movie gets an 8/10 from me.
Figuring in audience participation it'd be 2/10.

RHPS is great! Tim Curry runs around in high heels better than some women I have seen :p
The songs are catchy, there are some really funny lines, and I enjoy the audience participation.
9/10

One of my favorite musicals of all time starring one of my favorite actors of all time makes it one of the greatest cult classics all time. I am very pleased to give it:
9/10
It is also interesting to note that this movie currently holds the record for longest time spent in theatres as this one theatre in Germany has been playing it for at least twenty years.
This movie offers so much to so many. It holds different aspects of different movie genres. Such a great film that I need to get on DVD to replace my VHS copy. Too bad the sequal wasn't as good.
My Rating: 10/10
I'll admit, I hated this movie the first time I saw it. Then, I watched it again, and kinda liked it, then I really liked it, now I love it! It gets better every time I watch it. I'll give it a 9/10
Well, maybe that would work with me, as Ive seen this film only twice (on VHS and DVD), and thought it itself was pretty much OK. I never saw it in the theatres, never was included in any audience particupation myself, which maybe is a good thing here as I can rate this in my mind with no hype bonus whatsoever. I wasnt overly impressed with this cult classic, B-Grade film (though I do Love Tim Curry), and as for memorable songs, I only know Time Warp (which is a classic, I grant you), and little to none else. Like with Jaws and Star Wars, this film had a major impact on the American culture and the general public, so its going to get a few extra points from me on that one. But since I didnt overly care for this film, as a film alone, thats still not going to raise it all too high.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show - 8 / 10 (and this is with a decent bump due to the cultural impact this film had, and still has, which I do respect)

Well, like all of the films on these threads, base your rating on what this film (as a whole) means to you, personally. I actually raised it a few points due to its unreal Cult Classic status and the impact it had on the general public. So take the film, think about where youd place it on your 1 to 10 scale, and post away. :)

Fun film.
7.88 out of 10
What can I say, I have to give it 9 out of 10. I love the movie so much I bought the DVD before I had a DVD player!
I knew the soundtrack by heart before I ever saw the movie, and actually seeing the movie just made it better.
Heck, back in high school our cross country team did the Time Warp as one of our warm-up calesthenics before meets.

Wow, this one's doing well. The sheer number of 9 or higher ratings surprises me. I mean, I like it too, don't get me wrong. It's got some really great songs and fun lines, and it certainly has made a mark in the cult film industry, but I'm giving it a 7.75. I don't know, it's a good fun lark of a film, but I can't see rating it as one of the truly great movies of all time, and I'd have to put it in that category to give it a 9.

After the Timewarp song it is all just plain bad. And I mean that in a horrible bad way, not a bad like a Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury way.
I just didn't get it. Clost to 30 years later and I still don't get it. I've seen it alone and with audience participation and neither one baked my cookie.
1 (and Time Warp on my Dr Demento cd is the only reason I gave it the 1)
Do you ever have movies that so many other people think are good but you just sit there and answer "whatever." then go back to reading a book, examining your navel lint, or some other cosmic event?
this is one of those.

9/10.
It's slow until "Light at the Frankenstein Place", then it picks up. I have Time Warp and Sweet Transvestite memorized. I watch the movie at least once every two weeks. :D It's a cult classic.
I can't stand this film. Horrible! Tim Curry couldn't save it.
3/10
