Hi guys if there is anyone here that lives in Winnipeg and is looking for people to play with give me a shout. I play with a small group of friends and at local store. I would love to get together with other people to play.

Maxx's Collectables on Portage in the West end of the city, he holds tour every Saturday afternoon. He sells singles in his store also, good selection.

Are you just thinking of coming to play the odd tour or you moving here ???

Well, I was considering coming out for the occasional, but Saturdays hardly ever work for me, since I have to work on them, so, yeah.
Sundays, well, that'd be different. Ah, well.

What are the senario's played at Maxx collectables and what Times are the games. I'm new to the area and thought I might try it out.

Sure ok,

Theme's change every week, most around 300-400 pts and always some kind of theme.

I think they start at 3pm on Saturday.

Call ahead to find out forsure the theme/rules/times to be 100%. Its a good judge there and fun place to play at. He has the only singles for sale in Wpg now. Very good selection but alittle pricey when comparing to ebay. But at least he does sell them.

Just be careful around Maxx's.(ironic, no?)

Also, we play at Jogo canada in St.Vital on Thursdays at 6:30, with no entry fee, and every second week at Game Knights and Cool Stuff, also in St.Vital, on Saturday mornings at 10:30, with a 5 dollar entry fee.

Also, we're getting a pre-release on the 28th at Game Knights.

Actually, I've never been into Maxx's. End of summer I stopped in on a weekend, after going to the zoo with my lady Ogg, but they had their 'summer holiday hours' going on and weren't open until Wednesday or something. Oh, well.
A couple of my shoppe's players go into Wpg fairly recently and stop there too, but I haven't yet been.

I didn't realize Clicking happens at Maxx twice a week. I'm there on Wednesdays at 6:30 (sadly, I can only make it out once a month).

I know another venue happens downstairs at a place called "The Grape and vine" or something. I've considered switching over to JoGo since it's a lot closer than the far end of Portage, but Maxx has my comic subscription, so...

Same judge runs both Maxx's and Grape & Vine's groups. If you are up for any games privately send me a PM.....maybe we could hook up once in a while and play.

basically raven comics, gameknight, galaxy, maxx collectables are the one's I know
don't know much players but i know maxx collectables and raven do mini tourneys and every second Saturday gameknight does there's. For new players The small group at gameknight was really nice to me for a 1st timer myself. It was free to watch and game knight uses laminated maps which is really nice. Alot of people say buy what u need online but i buy from the boxes it's more expensive but it has it's you never know what your going to get moments. i also judge prices by ebay for rare' and super rare's note that unless you know alot about comic you will not know half the char's lol.
This is stupid but if you get a older set the ring they give you is to turn the Heroclix it is not a ring to wear lol >.< . Xmen giant sized is a great set for marvel fans.
