View Full Version : New Mod - Casey Jones!!!
So, I was saving this to be jazz up my TMNT team in case my plans for the mod contest fell through and I had to enter something I've done previously. Since my new team is ready for action, I can finally unveil this version of Casey Jones - a huge improvement over the last... check him out!

That is one kickass Mod.
That's U Guardian's dial, eh?
Perfect!
Great job. Goes well with your other excellent TMNT mods.
If they made Ninja Turtle Clix, they could buy that off of you, because that's how danm good it is! Nice job!

wow brillant!
Thanks for all the compliments guys, this mod was near and dear to my heart. I just needed to something a little more dynamic for Casey and while the first mod worked awesomely on paper, it just didn't have the zing that the new one has.
Thanks for checking him out!

I don't post much here since I have no modding talent, but I'm continually awed at the talent displayed, such as algrim's Casey Jones. Nice work!
Love it! Just last night I was wondering with a friend of mine who was the man who fought side-by-side with the Turtles using a club ! Twas' him ! Really nice mod !
Sweet job on Casey! You seem to be building up quite a TMNT mod collection ( all excellent figures, BTW). Any future mods planned in the series?
Well, I still want to redo Splinter when I find time - since the time seems to be spent on the mod contest team that has yet to be unveiled, and the Stormy Image team that's halfway done). Then maybe a new April.
If I can ever figure out how to do it WITHOUT using putty, I want to do a Shredder. Then I was thinking about some of the outskirting comic and cartoon cast like Nobody, Leatherhead, USAGI!!!!, Super-Cyborg Stockman to name a few.
After that, maybe some TMNT variants - like a cyborg Don and Raph/Shredder from the mid-90's Image run.
So, I still have a lot of ideas - but my folly is whole teams. So I guess once I get all the teams I want out of the way, I'll come back and fill in whatever gaps I can.
Thanks for the great question (and giving me a chance to be long-winded, a favorite of mine) and I'm glad you liked the mod!

Coolest mod ever?
Quite possible.
I wish it were... but darkstorm's Kurse mod is one of the all-time greats in my opinion.
Coolest Casey Jones mod ever? Definitely! ;)
Alright, two questions:
1) How'd you make him (ie: what'd you use), and
2) What's the Black Dragon's recipe?
:)
It's always recipes with you, isn't it?
Okay, for Casey, take 1/2 Blue Devil (the lower half), 1/2 Thug (the upper half), and just a pinch of Taskmaster (the head, to be precise). Add putty and the ooccasional spare piece of paperclip to get just the right flavoring. Serve hot (and angry).
For my boy Black Dragon (which I am writing a comic on right now - but you didn't really wanna know about that, I'm sure...), take 1 Ultimate Hulk and 1 bare-chested Draconum from MK 1.0 (can't remember his name). With Both Uniques on the table, chop them all up (shaving the head because we don't want any hair in our mod). Throw into a bowl, and pull out the tasty bits (Drac wings and arms, Ult Hulk head, torso, lower half). Assemble decoratively on your plate (pretty much a glue job, but repositioning where you can). Add some putty pants and a little putty accent for a paint-on shirt, some putty bands and presto! One toasty Black Dragon!
Yes, it is always about the recipes with me. When it was just a handful of Hypertime, Infinity Challenge, and Clobberin' Time figures, I could look at a mod and tell you what was used for what. Now that we've got a half-bajillion HeroClix figures, I can't tell what's what anymore.
(For instance, I'd've never guessed that was Saturn Girl's head on the Kitty Pryde that Myke de la Paz put together here (http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2167474&postcount=57).)
And, I was actually thinking that Black Dragon might give me a good start on the Hulkling I was going to do for my Young Avengers team, but it sounds like he might be a little more pricey than what I'm willing to go for a team who's book seems to only come out once every other leap year.
I mean, I'm more than willing to cut up pricey uniques for a good cause ... I'm just not sure Hulkling is that cause. :)
Hey, I fully understand. Although, I do love the look on a player's face when he trades me a Unique and then I pop it off the base in front of him and tell him that Power Pack is thankful for his contribution.
Priceless.
