**Last update to venue info 6/20/08** Venue description added.
Hey all,
I was browsing the forums today and thought that it might be a good idea for Southern New Jersey heroclix players and Philadelphia area players to have a spot on here to discuss meeting up for games, trades, places to play in a tournament, who has the best cheesesteaks, the plight of the Phillies, and any other local topics. Let's get this thing started and hope it takes off!

I know some times it can be hard for folks to find a fun game outside of the regularly scheduled tournaments so maybe we can arrange a bit of a community of local players here.

So, just to start conversation, I'll start it off.....who does have the best cheesesteaks? I'm a Jim's guy myself.

The Phillies? More like the Sillies.. They're so bad, I'm beginining to wonder if the "Infinity Challenge" version of the Leader is the team coach, and some of their players include the "Critical Mass" version of Rhino, the Unique Batgirl from "Cosmic Justice", and oh yeah, Tiger Lily from the "Indy" set -- 'cause if you can't shoot with two guns in hand, your baseball skills are probaby just as ####-tastic. Hoo-haa..!

Eagles...can't wait for them to quiet the critics. Last in the division this year? What? Man one tough season and all the respect...vanishes.

Best cheesesteak- Steve's Prince of Steaks NE Philly. Do yourself a favor.

Philly is a loooong way away for me, but home is home.

I head there a couple times a year, next time I do, I'm looking you dudes up, so we can throw down.

Sounds like a plan Insight! Next time you are in town I'm game. I couldn't agree more about the birds. All the critics will be shocked and quieted once this season rolls around. People have always looked to trash talk the Eagles even when they were at the top of their game and nobody in the national media gives McNabb the respect he deserves. Reggie Brown is going to have a big year, thats my prediction. Thanks for joining us from all the way out in LA.

BTW - Steve's and Jim's are okay, but there's one better with not just great food, but quality time, you know? Down in Olde City: Nick's. Forget the cheesesteak.. You go there, get yourself one of his famous roast beef (so lean it'll melt in yer mouth) topped with some fresh spinach sauteed in garlic and olive oil and a fresh thick slice of sharp provolone. AND, if you're really sporting a hearty appetite, tack on a basket of crab fries (fries with Old Bay seasoning). Booyaaa!!! Definitely worth the trip!

Played at Stormwatch Comics in Berlin last night. Another fun place to play and nice because they have games on Monday nights (5:30-6:00ish) so you can head over right after quittin' time. The space is a litte cramped as there is ALOT of memorabiliia, back issues, and game product in the store. It is cozy however and everybody is friendly. Stormwatch has a real laid back atmosphere and Bob (the judge and manager) is a very nice guy. If you guys get a chance you should get them out some Monday night. Any other places in the area you guys have played in Jersey or Philly/its suburbs? How about a little write up for those of us looking to venture out?

Ugh youre killin me Kitsu! Did ya get it with Whiz, Onions, Hot Peppers and a Dr. Brown's Cream Soda??? Anyway...I guess the appeal of Jim's is kind of a nostalgia thing for me. Growing up I hung out on South Street ALOT and ate a Jim's quite frequently (there and Lorenzo's Pizza....Don't dare try to order toppings on your slice!) so Jim's has a special place in my heart. I just love to go in there, smell the steak and onions cooking, get yelled at by the guy behind the counter and stare at all the signed photos of old celebs who have eaten there who most of them aren't doing much these days (I think they have a signed press photo from Bel Biv Devoe. Maybe a Jim's steak is the kiss of death if youre in the biz.)

Care to tell us a bit about where you play in the area KitsuShel? My idea for part of this forum is to be reviews/updates about the places in the local tournament scene. Wanna help us out? Thanks for joining us!

Okay, just thought I'd give a shout out this morning for my current 'Clix "stomping ground": Atomic City Comics, down on South St. in Philly.. Fridays and Sundays are the best days to come down for gaming, as Saturdays are just too busy.. A fun shop with great specials on HeroClix singles, boosters, and uniques, as well as some of the friendliest, knowledgeable comic folk around. Oh yeah, and then there's me..

Seriously, tho', Friday nights and Sundays are when I play. Usually 300-400 pt teams, but of late, Rob and I have begun to start experimenting with some 500-pt action. WOOT! So, if you want fun with your 'Clix and you're going to be down there, let me know, as I am all for new faces to come to the table..

Okay, you can go back to your Jim's Steaks discussion now.. hehehe..

Part of my problem is that I don't like onions or hot peppers. My boyfriend constantly pokes fun at me because Italians are supposed to like those. :cheeky: Lorenzos is definitely the bomb, though!

I've been trying to get down to South Street tp play with StarMan, but my timing is off.

I usually play at Comics & More at the PLymouth Meeting Mall in Montgomery County. AZS is usually the judge there. They have open gaming Wednesdays and another day (I forget) and tournaments every Monday at 6.30. It usually pulls a nice size group.

I've played twice at one of Krusticlese's venues in King of Prussia, though its a bit hard to get to if you don't drive (like me), but it is really laid back and fun with only a few people.

I live in the Philly area and I'm not the biggest fan of cheese steaks. Count me among those who can't stand Jim's. There's one down the street from me in Springfield, PA that I'll never go to. They use cheap meat and I think the wiz is gross.

Now a chicken cheese steak I have a tough time turning down. But I get them from the local places or just make em myself.

Hey everyone

I live in Philly (a few blocks from the art museum), and am always down for playing. Myself and two friends just started playing a few weeks ago and we're going to start going to tournaments. All Things Fun in SJ seems like it'll be good.

I didn't know the South Street comic store held events... in fact, I was in there the other day buying some boosters (they have a pretty good sale going... 4 packs of anything they have except for Sinister and CD for $20), and I was asking them if they knew of any places I could play and they didn't seem to know. It sucks because up until a couple years ago, their store was double the size, with an entire room dedicated to gaming.... oh well.

And also.... the choice is clear.... PAT'S.

We have a blast at All Things Fun! You guys should feel free to come out we run games every Friday Night @ 6:30pm and on Sundays @ 3pm. Prizes are awarded for both events! You can check out our scenarios online at www.allthingsfun.net under the HeroClix Headquaters section on the lefthand side of the homepage. We've got a great crowd and an amazing selection of boosters and singles.

And don't forget our Clix-A-Palooza, Saturday, August 12!

Yup, that's right. At this point, it's just open play, and really, that works out just fun.. But, just because we're playing for fun doesn't mena there isn't a challenge to be had. :) Seriously, if anyone local wants to meet me there on a Friday or a Sunday, just shoot me a msg, give me 24 hrs notice, and I am there. Unfortunately, Saturdays are out. We tried it out, but it's the one day that is the busiest (next to Wednesday, when books come out). The only way it could be done is if I were to call over that particular Sat, and ask what the crowd is like. But, generally, it's either Friday night or all day Sunday..

Well...I'm sure there's gotta be a place that has games on Saturdays....anybody know of any?Saturdays used to be a barren wasteland for clix games, but that changed recently.
The Complete Strategist in King of Prussia runs tournaments on alternate Saturdays (I think the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month.)

There's always a constructed game that starts at 12:30 followed by a Battle Royale when the first game ends (typically 3:30 - 4). Krusticlese runs the events there and usually comes up with some fun scenarios/build limits. Like last Saturday's game was 400 points, only figs with zero range.

Also, I run events at Showcase Comics (rt 30, Bryn Mawr, PA) Fridays @ 6:00 PM. We get a croud of between 8-12 depending on the time of year.

In addition, a friend of mine runs games on Sundays at The Roundtable Games and Stuff in Conshohocken, PA @ 1:00 PM.

The best steak is at Pat's in South Philly. Go there and order a "heart attack" ("wit" or "witout" is your choice) you'll thank me.

The Complete Strategist, King of PrussiaIs this right near the mall. Any information will help since I have to get there by bus.

Good idea Azs, I will update that post tomorrow. (Right now I'm at school and won't get home till 10:30ish). That will make it much easier for folks to find the list instead of searching for it buried in this thread.

To the new folks welcome aboard! Glad you found us. Stevebo sorry you've had such an awful experience at Atomic City (some folks do play and have a good time there there albeit not in tournaments). Not every venue is going to appeal to everyone, but if you want to find out about other places or want to try to get together with other folks for fun games thats one of the purposes of this thread. If you are in South Philly, you might not be too far from the Speedline and you might be able to hitch a ride to some Jersey venues if you are so inclined.

If you are in South Philly, you might not be too far from the Speedline and you might be able to hitch a ride to some Jersey venues if you are so inclined.I'm not far from the speed line at all. All I need is exact directions on where to walk after I get off the train and I'm good. Oh yeah, and which stop to get off at would also help...lol

Are you serious!? I'm sorry but this place is garbage. Even if they are having games (which I seriously doubt) it isn't even worth going. Trust me, save yourself the trip.Is this right near the mall. Any information will help since I have to get there by bus.

Also if anyone wants to start some kind of Clix group in South Philly let me know. I really hate only playing this game once a year at WWE.

I know from Steve from back when I was a Judge there a few years back, and I have to say I have no idea why he's being so negative in regards to Atomic City. Knowledgeable staff who really care about their customers - whether it be comics or 'Clix.

Yes, the tournaments there have gone the way over of the dinosaur, as interest began to waver right around the release of "Ultimates". But, you can still play there for fun (c'mon, what better place to play HeroClix in than a comic shop on South St??), and if interest begans to renew, there's the possibility of the return of tournaments.

So, all I can say is judge for yourselves. And, hey, if you're there, tell 'em Dominick sent ya.

Cheers..

That sounds pretty beat that someone would treat you like that. I don't blame you for not going back. If you are loking for a place to play then stop by Hall of Heroes one Saturday. We have a great group of players that are there for fun and the store manager, Bill is a very cool guy who is always happy to have new people come out to play regardless of how much you spend. Dom can tell you. He has been there a few times and should be there Saturday for our Transporter tourney.

You can take the Hi-Speedline from Phila to Jersey (get off at Lindenwold stop). From there, you can catch the #403 or #459 bus to the Echelon Mall. Both run on Saturday. Hope that helps..

Like Dom said the speed-line to Lindenwold then you can get a cab, or ask Azathoth for a ride :), to West Berlin on Rte 73 All Things Fun! Sundays at 3pm and Friday at 6:30pm. We have a huge group of friendly folks and we have a lot of different players. Fridays have different players then Sunday. Dom and Azathoth have both been there.

Looks like they changed their name to Ron's Comic World and they seem to be running events on Saturdays at 10:30. I'll put them on the front page to update the list. Thanks GL73!

On another note of "local" interest...I got a chance to go to the Eastern State Penitentiary Terror Behind The Walls haunted event the other night with some kids from my work. Awesome fun and very well set up. I highly recommend it. One girl got scared enough to start crying and grabbing onto my co-worker but as soon as we were done said that it was cool and she wanted to go again. Fun times!;)

Also...the new issue of Weird NJ is out (and volume 2 of the book)! There's some great local stories in the new book and mag.

I just have to search if that Envoy is the same guy that ran Events when I played there because if it is, I have a caveat emptor for you. When I played there one time in 2004, the Envoy had the habit of trading for the LE's that he had just handed out as prizes. He seemed to expect that the prizes would be traded to him but I declined to trade away my Hellcat LE. I know this may not happen with Sinister because the Envoys get an LE with the tourney prize packs & it's not against the rules but I wanted to make you aware of this.

Just an update to anyone interested. We have temporaily moved from the Echelon Mall Hall of Heroes to the Cherry Hill Mall Hall of Heroes while work is being done on the Echelon store. This may be a closer location for some people or not, but I figured I would throw it out there. We still run Saturdays at Noon. Events will still be listed under the Voorheese (Echelon) location for those who want to sign up to play. Come check it out.

And on another note. What is going on with the Eagles? Mounting a comeback in the 4th quarter is obviously not the way to go.

The sad part is that this team should have won every game they have played so far. They need to wake up. Starting a game in the 4th quarter is not going to cut it. Neither is Andy Reid's way of getting a lead and sitting on it. This team has the capability of being one of the best in the NFL, but you wouldn't know it by the way they play.

They told me in April that they would be having games every week during the summer. Know what I heard after that? Nothing...
Listen, we all know I hate this place. I'm not going to say any more bad stuff about it. But as far as playing games there they don't have the space anymore (for more than 4 people) and the owner doesn't like people playing there. And besides the owner I have no problem with anyone there.
Anyway, anyone ever hear anything about Fat Jack's?

I would be down for Fat Jack's. Thats only a bus or two ride from me.Same here. But they don't have anything going on yet. I heard a while ago on Wizkids that they were thinking of starting up. I believe the only problem they had was space. Basically they didn't know where they were going to have it. They have enough space, all they need to do is put pieces of plywood over the comic section and they become tables...
Anyway, long story short, that's the last I heard of it. I was hoping that someone would of asked about it by now? Anyone have a card for the place, I want their E-mail address if they have one?

I am a regular there, and I will present the story, as I was the Judge there until I let my title lapse..

Yes, the store has been halved, as the lease on the other side ran out and the owner sold it to some lame "hip-hop" clothing store (or some other "urban" accessory shop.. Like we need more of them).

I *know* the current manager there, Daryl.. and I *have* spoken with him about running games.. Yes, the space is limited, but we could do it on Sundays, as that is the least crowded day. All we need is interested players. If there is enough interest in this venture, I will work to try and get my Judge title reinstated. But, it can only happen if you speak out.

I like Fat Jack's (not as much as Atomic City, but I still like it), but, truthfully, their store is far small than that of Atomic City. The manager, Eric, has told me before that there is not enough room or desire to do HC games there.

Look, let me just conclude this, as I need to go to work.. Real quick.. If you are interested in the tournaments and regular games at Atomic City Comics (which is a very friendly place, contrary to what Stevebo is trying to say), then leave me a msg. Also, if you have any questions about the store, as to what it's really like, leave me a msg.

Cheers..

Unfortunately, Shel, there is no way to get there by public transit -- I checked. The nearest bus stop is a quarter of a mile down the road, I believe. Your best bet is, if you know anyone in South Jersey, take the hi-speedline to Lindenwold, meet-up there, and ride to All Things Fun from there. It's the easiest route.

Don't feel bad - I am in the same boat. As I've told you, I don't drive either. I am supposed to go with one of the players i game with at my venue, but I will have to confirm that with him this weekend. Then, I have to figure out how I'm getting over there to give in my registration fee! :( UGH!

I'm teetering on the edge of just not caring about the game anymore. The closest venue is about and hour & a half away by buses and then its at night, so its a chore to get someone to watch my son until 11PM when I can get back to my area to pick him up.

As Dom so nicely stated, come out and have some fun playing clix. We play for the love of the game and not to try and crush everyone we go up against, so even amatur players can enjoy themselves. Because after all, it is only just a game. The Civil War scenario should be a blast, so stop by if you can. If not we are there every Saturday at Noon. Meet some great people and get some good trades while you are at it.
Are you there every Saturday, even if there are 5 Saturdays? What kind of prizes do you give out? I have heard some people say they win and have not received their prizes that day. Do you mail them or something? It is a long drive for me and I want to be sure to get my prize, if I am lucky enough to win. I haven't played in a tournament yet, but with New Guy Night coming up I thought I might try to get out. I am pretty good against my friends. There aren't many venues that play in Southern New Jersey. Thanks and LMK

As long as there are enough events to run for that month we will have a tournament that Saturday. If Wizkids has 5 tournaments avaliable to sign up for in a month that has 5 Saturdays, then yes we will run 5. You can find our event information here: http://www.wizkidsgames.com/userdetail.asp?userid=12759
We start a noon pretty much every Saturday, but check just in case. And yes, we do have prizes. Every week for those who win 1st place and fellowship. Stop by even if you want to just hang out and watch instead of playing and talk comics and clix that is cool with us. It is a friendly atmosphere and we welcome new players. Stop by tomorrow for the 400 point all villians or all heroes tournament or even next week for New Guy Night. Message me if you have any questions.

We run every Sunday, except Easter/Christmas/New Years Day. We have events even when WizKids doesn't send out the prizes. We always give out Limited Edition Figures, we give out the 2 from WizKids and more depending on the crowd. In the summer we run twice a week, Friday and Sunday. you can check www.allthingsfun.net for more info. Our NGN is on Friday 2/23/07. We get an average of 8-10 during the winter and 16+ in the summer. stop by for some friendly combat, I know its an oxymoron.

Dom and I had a chance last night to hang at Krusticlese's venue (Showcase Comics in Bryn Mawr) with Biz, et al. and we had a blast!

The tournament scenario was alot of fun (Build a 500 point indy team with one Marvel or DC guest star) and brought out alot of figures you don;t typically see on the map. Everybody was really nice, there to have a good time and made new players feel welcome. I am definately looking forward to coming out again some Friday night when I get the chance. Yeah, what he said.. heheh.. No, seriously, I had a BLAST @ Showcase Comics -- more fun than I had expected. I really wish they had had a Pre-Release, because I would have been there in a heartbeat.

Nice to know there are still gaming venues where people care about the characters and having fun, as opposed to cliques and power-gaming.

I wish we could give venues Rep, because I would give a whole boatload to Krusticlese and all whom I played with Friday night. You guys are sooo nice -- THANK YOU!!!!

I've been there, never again.
It's not so much of a game or comic shop, they have both, and a lot of other eclectic carp.
The area has poor parking and the store itself feels (and looks) like a flea market.
They still have Clix games on Friday night, in a little back room that they have there.
The people that play there are fine, but the venue is poor at best.

My 1st post to this thread!! You may know me as Paulie :classic:.
After messing up Mage Knight which I loved (yes, even Dungeons), WK needed to be careful about these sweeping changes to thier flagship game. I admit, I thought the end was near when WK decided to retire sets. But they (WK) decided to enforce that in high end tournys and not the weekly store tourny (fine). I'll be the 1st to admit I didn't care for the Feats & Battlefield Conditions. But they did make older figs more playable than before. After reading the Critical Hit Article, the change I like the least, is probably that players will now have a rating ala Mage Knight. To me, it was refreshing to play Hero clix and not hear other players discussing, "I'm ranked #8 in New Jersey & #56 in the States" (yeesh). The new cards with a possible new white character ability sounds cool, although, carrying around additional stuff doesn't thrill me (i'm running out of storage room as it is). All in all, it could be alot worse (it could be Mage Knight V2.0).

stevebo0124
03/22/2007, 06:29
Only thing that has me mad is the white power... Anyway, this isn't the place for this discussion. If anyone hears anything definite about the Herald event thingy (lol) in our area let me know. I'm guessing that the heralds will be "2.0" figures and I want'em...

azathoth
03/22/2007, 10:12
I guess the heralds will be cool BUT BRING ON STARRO SAYS I!!!!!! I am so excited about that event. I may have to go on meds just so I can wait. ;) I do agree with Paulie though. The rating/ranking system in MK just bred ultra-competitiveness and power gaming. I really hope that doesn't happen this time around. Oh and thanks for joining us!

stevebo0124
03/24/2007, 17:54
One of my players has told me he'll buy a brick and leave it at the store in July, taking out 2 boosters each time he plays in one of the Herald sealed events.
That way he gets the brick discount, the BIBTB fig and will get all 4 participation LEs - the Heralds - plus a shot at winning Galactus.Any chance a store around here will be willing to do this?

We should have a great crowd for the Herald's events and I hope to make the Galactus event even better. We WILL have stock for all the SEALED events, unless we get over 100 participants...:) And we will be awarding players the Heralds the day of the event, not before!

Ok, so we've got confirmed Galactus events at two venues ATF and HoH (in alphabetical order).

Any word on our other local venues? Krusticlese? AZS? What is the status of your venue(s) with Galactus? It'd be great to get a list so that if people want to attend events it might be easier for them. Anyone with the info let us know.

Also, any word on the wizkids schedule for WWE? I might've overlooked it, but it might also be useful to include here for us locals.

Anyone notice the sudden abundance of Venom fans all over? I must have seen 50 people wearing the black shirt with the Venom symbol this weekend. I saw one huge guy with one that was carrying his kid on his shoulders that looks like he ate Venom. Lol!

Anyone see Spiderman 3 yet?
Saw it last night and I had a blast. I thought it was alot of fun. I don't try to expect too much from comic book movies. I did have a big HUH!?! moment at one point for the wide departure from "comic accuracy" but as far as a movie goes it was worth seeing on the big screen. I also noticed the abundance of black spidey shirts. Seems as if there is always people who run with the hype.

I might've overlooked it, but it might also be useful to include here for us locals.

azathoth, you did not miss the schedule for WWE/WWP because it has not been announced yet.

So is the "Last chance qualifier" a sealed event starting Fri. at Noon?

I'd assume that to be the case. That's how it's been done in the past, correct?

Azrael0626
05/23/2007, 18:10
Yes, that is the way they did it last year. At least it's a sealed this year which gives everyone a level playing field. Last year it was a constructed where people ran unoriginal and cheeseball teams like Ultimate Thor w/ Ghost Widow or Vet Icons Supes.

That's what made me question if the Fr. at Noon event was in fact the "Last chance" chumpie or not because last year I saw Azrael play in the last chance (last year) and it was a constructed format. The info under the stated event said that qualifiers can play but i'm assuming you didn't need win the qualifier to participate. I'm not complaining about it being a sealed (yet) unless I pull a bunch of poo. But at least I'll have that good ol' "Anything can happen attitute" before I open my boosters.

Thanks for your input!!

Showcase Comics in Bryn Mawr, Pa will be running the CoG events on Friday nights for anyone interested.

Comics and More has plans (last I heard) to run on Saturday afternoon.

The Compleat Strategist in King of Prussia (shoemaker Rd, off of Henderson Rd.) will be running their events on Sunday. I know KitsuShel has confirmed that she'll be out for the Sunday events. Also, there will be extra LE's as prizes through the entire event at the Strategist (as donated by myself and our Judge, PerfectDeath).

Nah, at last year's WWE, they pre-sold Sinister. They've done the same thing for the past couple of years. I do remember the line for the year before's was so loing, we just said the heck with it. Last year I snuck in line with some Reslmers on Sat, lol. This year, Shaun got a VIP pass, just so he wouldn't have to spend all day Saturday in line. Man, that wasn't worth it now.

Friday, Saturday, the 455 bus picks up from the Cherry Hill Mall and takes you directly to the Haddonfield Hi-Speedline, which you need to get to Philly. I believe the bus fare (exact change, btw) is $3.00 round trip. Train fare would be $4.30 round trip.

Sunday is a bit of a pain, as the only way to get to Philadelphia from Cherry Hill would be to take the bus from the mall and either a) get off in Camden and take the hi-speedline over, or b) take the bus all the way into Philly. Not sure of the exact fare for that, as I have a pass and haven't paid actual fare in ages. Those bus #'s would be the 404 and 405.

You can plan the trips out and get further info at NJ Transit (http:www.njtransit.com).

You have my e-mail, too, so if you're still stuck, let me know. I can help you to map it out further if need be. :)

When/where did you get this info from?

The Ask Thread over on WizKids site. Came right from Makr Tuttle's mouth.

As for a public transportation, which I use all of the time, SEPTA's website has a "Plan My Trip" option which lets you plug in your starting address and your ending one and it tells you how to get where. Like, what busses or trains, different options to take. Like one way might be 20 minutes shoter, but you might have to transfer to another bus, or something like that. It lists all of your options and it's very very helpful.

:)

Hi all,

Long-time lurker, first-time poster....

I am really excited about the new changes in the Avengers set, and plan to play in the Heralds events. This would be my first time ever playing Heroclix in a "tournament setting", or at a venue of any kind. Since I can only play on the weekends, I only have a few venues to choose from (I don't mind travelling to the far outreaches of Philly). Could anyone give me advice on which of these venues would be a great place for a first-timer to get into the game? Any other info would be appreciated, like do I have to call in advance to join or just sign up on Wizkids' website, etc.

Here's my selection:

Comics & More in Plymouth Meeting
Comic Universe in Folsom
Compleat Strategist in King of Prussia
Cyborg One in Doylestown
Brave New Worlds in Willow Grove

Based on times, I'd lean toward Comics & More, but I'm willing to try anywhere that's fun, and will not scare a newbie.

Thanks for your help!

Welcome aboard brucetosis! Glad to have you join in the conversation.

I'll definately vouch for All Things Fun as a cool venue that gets ALOT of players out to their events on the NJ side of the bridge. Toteman is the judge there (as you may have figured out) and I'm sure he'd be more than happy to answer any questions you have. Just shoot him a PM.

As far as in PA, the events at Compleat Strategist in King of Prussia are run by Krusticlese, the events Alternate Universe in Folsom are run by BudPalmer and the events at Comics & More are run by AZS. They are all awesome judges, regulars on the realms, and run great events. I'm sure that if you are interested in attending Heralds events they would be more than happy to help you get aquainted with their respective venues (house rules, how to sign up, etc). Send them a PM and I'm sure they'll help you out! Hope that helps.

Hall of Heroes was great... I think I found me a new Heroclix spot. I seen a few familiar faces and had a great time. I was going to go to CoG week 5 next but now I'm going to go to week 3 also. So everyone bring your tradables. I will be bringing the bookbag full of goodies again.

EDIT: And I believe we had 9 people...

Actually we had 10. One guy came in at the last min. which was very cool because we got our limit for the day. Everyone seemed to have a good time and a lone Ares team almost won the whole thing. Crazy stuff. Can't wait until Saturday to see what happens next.

The crowd at allthings rocks.
I recently had all the best parts of my collection stolen, and everyone was offering to give me their doubles, extra objects, etc. to fill the void. Thanks guys!

Rorschach,
Welcome to the forums Slacker!

Do you think this Sunday will be as big as Surfer?

I doubt it, but shouldnt be much less. Surfers way more popular than Firelord, although Firelord is WAY more playable. Power Cosmic for under 200 is awesome, I dont care if he has a gaurdsmen dial.
I want a Shang-Chi with Citizen V dial too.

Anyone going to Hall of Heroes,
Can you try to bring an Orange and/or Green marker tomorrow? I want to fix my Firelord since it's misprinted.

Thanks,
Steve
