What is an A.R.M.A.D.A.S. team you ask? Well it is a team that represents one each of the arch-types.

A = Archer (anyone that uses a bow of any kind)
R = Ruffian (a fighter or scrapper, a martial artist)
M = Mystic/Mentalist (either a psionic or a magical talent)
A = Alien (someone not of Earth)
D = Detective/Doctor (someone with brainy skills - detective, scientist)
A = Armor/Android (Anyone that gains the majority of their powers from technology - armor, android, robot)
S = Speedster (if you can move fast we want you!)

Event Rules and Restrictions:
-700 points Unrestricted
-must have 7 characters represented by A.R.M.A.D.A.S. (outlined above)
-No repeated characters allowed
-1 Feat per character allowed (no 10% limit in place)
-3 objects per player (only 1 special object allowed)
-Keyword Themes bonus suspended for this event

well kayo bahala hehe. pero in my opinion hindi naman ganun kalakas sila supes, kc flash ngayon kasi 1 feat per character lang. pero that's just my opinion.

also maslimiting factor ung kelangan 7 out 7 ung armadas. kasi pag 5 out of 7 lang e siguardo lalabas talaga si supes. I for one have tried building a team and including E-2 Supes or Prime will almost take half of your build already. Mahihirapan ka magsiksik ng mga ibang figs in the end. But again that's just me.

kayo bahala sa build total. hehe:) for me i'm just trying to contribute to the community ung nahahanap ko para masmasaya!

Let's lay down some qualifications:(to be confirmed and finalized by Cons)
-any figure na may hypersonic okay na as speedster!
-any figure na may phasing teleport for at least (3?)clicks can qualify as a speedster. This is to ensure na figs like Nightcrawler can qualify.
-we are after comic accuracy! so kahit na si Oots walang martial artisit keyword, pwede parin siya as ruffian since si Batman martial artist din naman.

Can we clarify what characters would fall under certain categories in our ARMADAS tournies?

Archer - Uh speaks for itself

Ruffian - THIS ONE. Are ruffians also considered close combat brawlers. Fighters, warriors, brutes etc.

I kinda agree with Knyt on this one. Except for a few things. For one thing, there are many characters that are aliens that were never given an specific alien keyword. It's really only Marvel that has that. Sa DC, almost all the GLC are aliens. Sa Indy technically si Omniman and Iinvincible are aliens.

Sa Android, you forgot to add the robot keyword. Kung Ruffian you also have to consider warriors etc. Other than that it actually makes things clearer.

the only problem I see here is by filtering down the list, new guys without access to much of the figs will find a hard time looking for the stuff that will fill 1,000pts. While on the other hand veterans might find it easy... but IMHO we should go for the simpler common route...

- Like guns, knives, pitchforks, etc (no Batarangs!!!-kelan ba naging weapon for revolution ang Batarangs hehehe - yung nunchakus, throwing stars, tabak or even wood na hawak ni Nightwing can be allowed).
- For figs without weapons, you can avail of their Themed Team/Key Words...those who has Soldiers, Spies, Freedom Force, Invaders, Police theme on them can be used...so I believe Ghost Widow and Ms. Marvel or even Zoom can find their way in here.
- Figs like Mandroids with built in weapons cannnot be considered as holding a conventional weapon...So are constructs like ones made from the Green Ring from OA.
- You want to use GL? There are GLs like Hal Jordan of Crisis who has the soldier Key word.
- So pwede kayong mag combo ng Spies , Police, Soldiers but you will not enjoy a Themed team bonus
- A Themed Team will enjoy all of its bonuses and can even use pogs!!!
- For non themed team, pogs to be used should be drawn as holding a conventional weapon. (if there is one)

...But I belive Allan was destined naman to win the Tourney...first by braving the flood and rains and to go thru the likes of the Nationals Champ: Marco in the eliminations. This I believe was the Championship match coz they really went toe to toe in the last few minutes of their game. A classic match that could've gone either way depending on the time limit. :classic:. The game was a success kahit 6 lang kami and Chris left the game due to some family emergency. The Rotaract Club of Timog last Sunday had a relief operation mostly sa Area ng QC. We've managed to donate a rubber boat and life vest plus some clothes and food.
Currently the problems are lack of water to drink, clothing and the impending danger of dengue.

If you guys could help and have some spare clothes or anything that you think could help those who'd been struck by Typhoon Ondoy, (pag heroclix yan...yaan nyo makakarating sa mabuting kamay ko yan) We would really appreciate it. Anyway, Welcome Back KC!!! Tama ka, for a year na patay na supposedly ang clix eh we never missed a week without an active tourney...and along the way we picked up a couple of great newbie players an parang pumalit sa mga vets na nawala. And these guys are Heroclix champs pa ha?
Andyan si Harold na parang katulad ni Arthur GAylord maglaro pero Devil Worshipper naman...Gerald, the 14 year old Kid na parang the second coming of Xtriker naman (teka parang may kabastusan ang dating ah...ahhahaha). Dami pa, at least 10 pa sila na nadagdag sa game na we thought would never return. Pero siyempre, we knew and hoped it would and it did!!!
So Heroclix is now back!!! And HOT has pre sold na raw more than SI or any other expansion ever!!!
Thanks for being there people and Sir Eliot for always being there to lead and support the community. Kahit babaero ka at manyak and mahilig manira ng buhay ng mga batang babae ;) you are still the Best Thing that happened to heroclix!!!
And also NG for continuously giving us the space to play and chat. Its Christmas in Asgard!!! Hurray for the Hammer of Thor!!!

i think what they want us to do is have just one thread for everything...Actually baligtad Marc. They're having an issue with threads reaching 1k posts and above. So they're encouraging us to split our threads into separate discussions (which medyo mahirap gawin kasi admittedly ginawa na nating chatroom yung main discussion thread). Anyway, with threads like the tourney announcements we can further break it down nga by creating a thread for each venue (ATC, Glorietta and Gale). As for the trading thread, baka we can create our individual lists. Bump-bump na lang.

What is an A.R.M.A.D.A.S. team you ask? Well it is a team that represents one each of the arch-types.

A = Archer/Admired (Celebrity OR anyone that uses a bow of any kind)
R = Ruffian (Brute, Warrior, Martial Artist Keyword)
M = Mystic/Mentalist (Mystical/Psychic Keyword)
A = Animal/Alien (Animal, Cosmic Keyword)
D = Detective/Doctor (someone with brainy skills - detective or scientist keyword)
A = Armor/Android (armor, android, robot keyword)
S = Spy/Soldier (Spy Soldier, Police keyword)
T = Time Traveler (Past or Future Keyword)

Event Rules and Restrictions:
Open Feats, BFCs ( bring at least 3)
-600 points Unrestricted.
-must have at least one figure with leadership or SP that grants it
-must have 8 characters represented by A.R.M.A.D.A.S.T. (outlined above)
-No repeated characters allowed
-only 5 actions max per turn (except for leadership)
-1 Feat per character allowed (no 10% limit in place)
-3 objects per player, special objects allowed
