Oo nga bro..kanina naglaro kami Clix sa Makati, 9 players with 2 guys still not able to join pa nga at that to make 11 sana. And if the Clix Judges sana would be allowed to join then pang 12th pa ko hehhehe. I miss playing competitive Clix sometimes, but being Judge is reward enuff as it is trying to keep the community alive and exciting. First off, I will admit that I am new to the game, and my opponent during this battle was even less experienced than I. That being said, we are having a blast with my semi-random assortment of discount figures. To make things less complicated, we have thus far been playing while ignoring the rules for knockback and breakaway. For the same reason, and because I felt like a closequarters smashfest, we are playing on a chess board. The teams were as follows:

My backrow from left to right: Colossus, Blade, Gambit, T'challa (Black Panther), Mystique, Black Widow, Quicksilver, Valkyrie. Pyro took the space in front of T'challa, while I placed Moon Knight in front of Mystique.


Hers was a bit more spread. Her back row featured Torch and Storm as King and Queen and Hulk and Thing in the castle corners. SWAT Officers took the edge pawn spaces, with Heavy Weapons in the next inward space on each side. The king and queen's pawns were the specialists.

The board was set, and the pieces were moving. I'll update later, but feel free to comment! BTW does anyone know how to paste in pictures and tables? I had a table that showed the board layout that i had planned to update after every round or so but I can't seem to get it to work. anyway, first post complete. I guess i'm officially a member now. The unbeatable tandem of Conrad and Xandy proved that they were really a force to be reckoned with as they dominated the early game, drawing first blood as War Machine cripples Nightwing from 11 squares away. The Gotham Knights were picked away one at a time by the combined efforts of the spies and the West Coast Avengers. Before more Gotham blood got spilled, the God of Thunder arrived into the fray and offered Talia to Hela. That proved to be only a short burst of momentum as Conrad powered Ms. Marvel to wipeout most of the opposition, using Xandy's figs as cover.

Late game the buddies were still ahead with Conrad's Skrull-vell and Winter Soldier, both in full health (with a Ghost Widow pa!) and Xandy not trailing too far with Human Torch and War Machine. The other side of the board was left with Batman, Robin, Thor and Malekith - all wounded! It wasn't too long when Thor hit a key shot to take Ms. Marvel off of her good clicks, with Batman chasing after her to prevent Ghost Widow from patching her up. Thor immediately got burned away by Human Torch and soon each of the players was left with one fig. Batman, Malekith, Winter Soldier (full health) and Human Torch. Cyborg Bucky was able to assasinate Malekith, but him and the cyborg Torch weren't enough as both of them fell against the Goddamned Batman. Epic WIN!

Ano, rematch? Wahaha!

Guys,

Before I post the ranking, let me just say that I came up with this for several reason the least of which is to trash people in the lower portion of the list(it is part of the game sort of). The first reason is a practical one. We have tournys that have team concepts (like CTX), the rankings would provide a guide for team selection, leader selection and such. That would be good for the tournament organizer, it would help them in making decisions.

The second one is to legitimize our game (sort of). By having a ranking system, we would take some baby steps into making our game legit. I'm currently taking a look at other games (like chess) to see how we can accomplish this. I mean in a couple of years, maybe we can handout titles like GRANDMASTER. I mean, imagine in 3 years some newbie would have to play against Grandmaster Charlon, or Grandmaster Joel. (so cool). (hmmm ... parang di maganda yung Grandmaster Maniladawg ... dapat yata Glenn)

About the rankings, the rankings are based on the points accumulated during tourneys. Special tourneys (UHP, DPC, etc) get extra credit. I won't bore you with the details, suffice to say that the rankings are dynamic. Meaning, the rankings would reflect changes in the games. Old data would be replaced by new data. The data for the current ranking includes all of the tourneys in the battle report thread. Although, I would try to dig into the discussion thread to get some of the BRs there, at least for this year.
