I second!! tutal, out of shape naman ako, at si ticky ay pilay pa din, pangontrapelo na kami sa triple threat ni gian, mark and cons. bwahahaha.

hehe. kidding aside, tama si cons, seryosong labanan na to sa sabado mga clixballerz! bring yo game face on and dish that rock... iwasan lang ma hit ang thing ni charlon, sensitive na daw ngayon e. pati din daw si naj, sobrang pagpapaypay (his words, not mine.hehe). laban kung laban, deal or no deal, finished or not finished, exchange!!

dahily medyo may aura of seriousness ang laro natin this saturday, i urge everyone to bring two sets of shirts/jerseys (one white, one dark) so we can change uniforms depending on the team that drafts us.

The Draft:
1. 9:30 to 9:45: Rookie Training Camp (in other words, shooting shooting muna. hehe.)

2. Drafting will take place at exactly, promptly and precisely at 9:45... unless it is moved to a later time by the team managers. ;)

3. The team managers will have a coin toss for the first draft pick. Suggest ko sana dice roll pero baka magka spidermark experience pa tayo. (non hclix basketball players: bakit may dice sa court? ano daw, critical hit? ano yun, parang foul?). And then proceed with alternate drafting.

Guidelines:

1. Winner of coint toss will be the first to pick. Second pick will choose their uniform color (white or dark) for that game.

2. You can only pick those actually present at the time of the draft. Those who have indicated their eligibility for the draft but cannot attend (i.e. Gian, ChuckLee-Jaworski) can only be picked after all those present have been drafted.

3. Eligibility of fil-ams will be subject to the submission of authentic documents. In lieu of authentic documents, i will accept Unique Oracle or LE Sue Storm. pwede na din AF1 Gift Certificates. hehe. :cool:

4. Previous rule stands: Mark and Gian cannot be drafted into the same team. unless it happens to be the team which drafts me. haha.

ayt boyz, i submit these details and guidelines for you seconding and, yes, thirding of course. :)

Court Highlights:
- 13 Players in attendance with Mike and Mikey not makin' it at the last second.
- Mark's and Alstarie's Team demolishing Nicky's Team (with me in it) in a show of endurance, and team play. Their team were all potential shooters and fastbreak monsters!!!:eek:
- The spidermark contributing most of the damage with his power rebounds,defense, offense and fancy drop passes...and with Gian not being there, me and nicky having prior injuries: the middle line belonged to the young herald.:cool:
- Team Alstaire and Jhundv provided the shooting that would've turned the lights off even at the araneta coliseum!!! Timely shooting, 3 point shots, Deadly accuracy...Jigs' leadership and on court defense really tipped the balance in their favor. (the first and second match were clearly theirs):(
- Our team tried to claw it's way back in the 3rd game (?) for the win with Nicky trying to rush things up with the ball despite running sore...offense really picked up with xandy,super pinoy, chuck lee and nicky (and with me a bit) and almost closed the gap with elvin now asserting his might over spidermark and team (the guy showed this time why he is the tower of power of our team):devious:
- Almost Mid way in the last game, nicky asked me if we can take the man-spider thru a bit of "physical" defense...we experimented on it and made some great defensive stops using this technique. The offense also picked up with jigs and super pinoy in our back court...and with nicky at tandem with me and xandy.
- But t'was not enough so we got blasted again on the 3rd game with nicky finally sitting out the last few minutes due to his recurring foot injury. The loss this time it had a more respectable margin.:classic:
- Anyway, the game was real blast with everyone having a great time...no one got badly injured, great show of team effort, camaraderie and physical prowess.
- Right now my body aches in places i never knew existed and my injury just got a bit worse...but for sure mark and jun and the rest are feelin' the same thing rite now:p
- So we all had fun!!! heroclix players really can burn the hoops as well as throw dice and make critical hits!!!
- Thanks for a great game guys...don't worry, we promise we'll do better next time...Now that we know better how to handle the spidermark/alstaire team next time around.
- And after that we had a terrific heroclix game at galeria...congrats patrick for wining that one too.

But until now, i can still feel the pain caused by Skywalker Conrad's unintentional chopping of my ribs after an interception in the very first seconds I entered the court. I thought I couldn't run after that but seeing all the players were very active and the game exciting, I continued playing as if i was feeling nothing. I guess the hard work paid off coz we won all 3 games with Mark's inspiring dominance of the boards and the ATC boys' (BIOMAN) over-all game mastery, and of course Cons' and Nicky's injuries. Also, very nice seeing SuperPinoy playing and showing he got game. Hope to see you all next time. :)

Conrad was right, it was an amazing basketballclix!! for those who missed it, sayang it was a bit more competitive this time around (even though hindi halata sa scores. hehe). sana the next one mas maraming makapunta. kahit sobrang dami tayo, with the 2 hours playing time, everyone will get to play to their heart's content.

arthur, kelan ba start ng sembreak mo para ma sked ko na next bballclix at makapunta ka na definitely. ikaw din "thing" charlon, ala bang sembreak yang bluelok na iskul mo? hehe. ;)

As for our next possible "future" agenda...i'm aiming to challenge the entire teams of Vs,MK,MW and Magic Community. I have some good friends at Mageknight, Vs and Magic (maybe DC King Clixboy can ask his Mech team/buddies if they can join in too) and for sure they'd be interested to know who has the better basketball team in the phil. gaming industry. Sa magic, varsity player pa yung kilala ko ng bank of commerce during our heydays.:cheeky: (tagal na yata un hehhehe)...kaya im confident they'll be interested.
Here are my assesment of their teams though:
- The Mageknights and Mechs have some good players and i can see two or three players who can dominate inside the paint. 2 Possible Centers, A lot of shooting guards and a few talented forwards makes those teams very formidable.(Plus: many of them are younger than us) Right now, with their current numbers...i'd say its an equal match...with a slight edge on our heroclix players coz we've been playin' the game of hoops together a lot more than they have.
- Vs Players have a lot of gamers but i can't see them having a good all around team in terms of basketball...but i may be wrong coz i may not have yet seen them all. Maybe many of them can play...we'll see what happens when we send them an invitation for a basketball showdown.
- The Magic Players...with sheer numbers, can even build a league of their own. i see them as the China in our phil gaming community. So many gamers, that with the proper selection of players... can posses a very powerful basketball team that can take on all mk,vs,hclix,mech players combined at anytime...And give them a beating. Nway, their weakness still would be their unfamiliarity with each one's talents, and to form an active team that will take up the challenge!!! This can be exploited by the other teams...to win over them.

And so, that is but my initial run-down and review of the "other" possible basketball teams. Hopefully, they'll take up our challenge and set up games that will benefit both our communities.

If not...we could always go on with our Ultimates vs The Star Rangers/Biomen Battles: that in my opinion...is the Best!!!

Go Marvel, Go DC Teams!!! The uniforms will be up next..Mike dela Paz have a ready design for this na and pretty soon we'll all be well "armored" up to take the challenge of any teams come september!!!

Yup, the stage was set for the Battle of the TT's on this one...as usual there were some guys who didn't showed up (God Rest their Souls:p ) but we had a real great time after more than a month of waiting for another basketball clix to happen!!!

The first game was a real classic match that pitted the awesome energy of the Sister Scarlet against Major Pain (Nicky will discuss the sisterly talk between Destiny and Scarlet at a separate realm).

Looking back last Saturday, the Sinisterhood of Evil ATC Boys vs the Batemen Enemies and an eX-man...The game was damn intense from the opening pa lang.:devious:

Mark and Gian goin at it for the paint supremacy, Jhun and Als shooting the lights out, Mikey like a power forward banging it out on defense/offense against the Tower of Power Elbinoy!! The Xandman had his hands full with the Plastic man Rhommel while me and nicky tried our best to contribute on both sides of the floor. We wanted so much to do our "Spidermark" defense against the Bayo-robot but couldn't coz the guy suddenly did a "Magic Johnson" and became a point-center for the team.
The first game saw the Sinisterhood leading by 8points..However, the 30-30 point format didn't do well for Team Magneto and the next half went better for the Anti Batmen/eXman team and with time running out Elvin issued a blind pass to the Xandman where the former threw it in the hands of the deadly Gian "Major Pain" for a surprising 3pointer!!! And so the 1st game ends with a very slim margin. Hoooray for the Batman Enemies!!!

The next game saw the Batemen and an eXman team learning from their mistakes and immediately returned the favor by leading by the same 8points going to the halftime. The triumvirate of Cons, Elvin and Nicky doing their thing now against the deadly Trio of Mikey, Als and the sweet shooting Jhundv...The xandman had his hands full by broke-backing errr breaking the back of rhommel plastic man with his timely offense.
Mark and Gian were slugging it out now on the inside with the Major Pain showing how powerful he is by scoring inside at will!!!
The game was at an end with team anti-batman at a sure win when an unexpected accident happen...The Hulk, The Magneto of CTX...the Strongest one there is had a terrible injury that forced the game to be stopped before the last shot connected: He injured his pinky finger!!! ARggghhhhhh!!!! Hulk Smashed!!!:p :laugh: What a respectable finish for the Jolly Green Giant!!! hahahha...but boasted with a lot of 3point shot before he injured himself.:eek: ooohhhhh...sorry loss for the Sinisterhood bros.
...and so it ended with the game won by the Batman Enemy Team and an eX-man.

REcord 2-0 with The Bateman Enemies and an eX-man having the bragging rights over the Sinisterhood of Evil ATC Boys. Better luck next time my friends.

Great game with everybody having the time of their lives and praying for the poor departed souls of the players who couldn't make it that day :p :laugh: (Peace again). Heroclix at galeria followed after that with Basketball MVP Gian making it a 2-peat...By winning also at the heroclix tourney that day at Galeria!!! :cool: Awweeeesssommmmeee!!!

So next game is tentatively set October 7,2006!!! See you all next Basketball Clix.

Nagdesign ako ng mga possible jerseys pero will still follow the reversible Marvel and DC style.
Marvel-dark red, white w/ gold lines, Dc-navy blue, light blue with silver lines. Marvel heroclix or Dc heroclix logo at the back with ur realms name arcing on top of that logo, the player number under the logo. Sa front would just be the team symbol na gusto nyo for each universe. Example for Conrad sa marvel side nya, capt a's shield at front, sa DC side GL logo namn :cool: pde kayong mamili ng variations ng design , slight lang namn ang differences. For example some may choose v-neck while others round neck, meron ding sleevless, yung iba me konting extension na sleeves.

Since parang 2 jerseys ito na pinagsama , palagay ko doble din ang presyo, pero it will be good :)

Ihanda nyo na rin ang mga vital statistics nyo, mga sukat nyo dis sat. at gagawin ko na dun ko ang official list containing ur jersey names, number, measurement, team logos, design option , para ibigay ke elbinoy,

To simplify a bit or lessen the possible cost of the jersey am ditching the marvel and dc logos at the back leaving only the player name and basketball clix #, bawi na lang sa color pattern ng shirt.

And TA logo na lang sa harap of ur favorite marvel or dc team at pwede ding both sides same TA logo ang ipalagay nyo para mas madali sa gagawa.

Same pa rin ang pattern, reversable jersey pa rin. We can just distinguish the team now as either blue or red team.

Sa blue team, color pattern: predominant Navy blue, medium light blue, white stripes.

Sa red team, color pattern: predominant White, dark red, black stripes.

To simplify a bit or lessen the possible cost of the jersey am ditching the marvel and dc logos at the back leaving only the player name and basketball clix #, bawi na lang sa color pattern ng shirt.

And TA logo na lang sa harap of ur favorite marvel or dc team at pwede ding both sides same TA logo ang ipalagay nyo para mas madali sa gagawa.

Same pa rin ang pattern, reversable jersey pa rin. We can just distinguish the team now as either blue or red team.

Sa blue team, color pattern: predominant Navy blue, medium light blue, white stripes.

Sa red team, color pattern: predominant White, dark red, black stripes.

Both with yellow gold linings, trims , and edges para di mahirap sa gagawa pag binaligtad yun parin ang edges.

I hope favorable to sa mga magpapagawa. I assure you guys na mganda naman kakalabasan nito.

Sa mga oorder , para ihabol sa CTX, actually hindin nyo kailanagn ipalagay ang assigned team nyo sa CTX yung favorite logo nyo na.

I had a sudden image of the Dumlao gym flying away on the winds of Milenyo, so i called to check up on it.
Turns out, my vision was partly correct. Yung bubong daw ng dumlao ay nabagsakan ng ibang bubong.
Right now, they're still fixing it. sabi naman nila most likely the court will be ready by saturday for our basketball clix. by friday, i'll finalize and post kung ready talaga yung dumlao gym for us.

myke gave me the designs for our jerseys, and they are effin awesome!! :grin:
i talked with the one who made our firm jerseys. rough estimate of a reversible jersey will range from 450-550, depending on how complex the design is. jersey lang, no shorts.
The tailor will be coming to Dumlao this saturday, so that they can give an official quotation for our jerseys after seeing our final design. myke, i realy hope you can make it this saturday so that you can give last minute fine tuning, if any. and also so you can see the color palette that they will bring so that you can choose the best color that you had in mind (mabuti na sigurado).

and of course, right there and then kung magkasundo na sa presyo, kukunin na measurements natin! seryoso na to, mga pare kong clixballerz! ok, so sa mga pupunta, sure na perfect fit ang mga jerseys nyo. pag di pumunta, pasensyahan na lang, we'll just roughly base your measurements on the other players na nagpasukat na. so for example, kung di sumipot si gian, based na lang kay nicky yung sukat. or kung di sumipot si jhun, based na lang sakin. ok? ok! hehe. :)
