Want to say that Turtle rolled for it.
hmmm...the judge at my venue said they ruled that you don't get the if the target is outwitted, perplexed etc.
Oh yeah on BAB, the tourney where they had the BAB in effect said the same thing...the perplex and outwit affect some part of the attack..
Want to say that Turtle rolled for it.
I could do that and keep it painfully suspenseful for vicious. ;)

You know, I don't see why not. I find it perfectly plausible that Baron von Strucker would lead the charge, running as fast as he can directly towards Scalphunter, completely ignoring pesky hindering terrain and leaving his loyal master-mind fodder *cough* minions behind :laugh:

I have a question about ASTs. Here's the situation. Cable has outwitted Cyclops' RCE. Moondragon successfully mind controls Cable and has Cable turn off his outwit. Cyclops regains RCE and successfully attacks Warlock, KO'ing him. Cyclops would not have been able to hurt (let alone KO) Warlock if he did not regain his RCE (unless he rolled a critical hit).
Does Moondragon get 1 AST for enabling Cyclops to regain his RCE?

Yeah, it's been ruled in the past that you can get both an SA and an AST when you use mind control, for example if you move the MC target into range of a friendly fig who then makes a successful attack. So it seems similar in this case.

Every single opponent of mine HATES chameleon....5 shape changes against Iceman, 2 or 3 against Tenk, and 4 in a row against rouge...

I'll say! If I had connected with Mako, Cham would have died, Widow would have been free to heal Judge Fire, Judge Fear would also have had LOS for perplex on Fire and Fire could in turn have taken Wildfire down to a managable spot (all relatively easy rolls).
Instead I spent the whole turn wiffing on Cham giving Wildfire the oppourtunity to take apart my team.
THEN the Earthquake hit.
I believe this puts me at 0-13 for online play. A saner person would find a new hobby. ;)
Mine and Stepp's game finished yesterday.....and I was able to come out with the win...but just barely.....it was a REALLY close game...it definitely came down to some key rolls on my part...it seemed like Stepp hit every single time when he hit...until I cursed him...then he started missing me....so don't get me mad!!! ;)

Wow, the RE is kinda underwhelming..wonder why the E doesn't have HSS..but the Vet is a beat stick....yeah his first couple of clicks are comparable to Vet Supes...still not as good as Vet Supes...we shall dub him Vet Supes-lite. ;)
It'd be pretty cool if they make an LE version of the evil one that was on Exiles...Vision would have a field day...;)

As I said in the Hyperion thread:
The R is very underwhelming for 177 points. He tops out at 3 damage, and when he gets to a certain point, is finally capable of being Black Adam.
The E is pretty nice. I kinda like the damage, not to mention the sporadic RCE
The Vet is a little too much. I despise HSS + 10 range, especially when it's that cheap. But I think the days of it being ridiculous are counting down quickly, due to the danger room rules, and now, Construct.
I'm afraid mygame will never finish. mikey and I are on at comletely different times, I'm not sure how he made his lastt move so its going to take another day for that to be redone, and I won;t be on from Next Thursday till the 17th fopr wedding/honeymoon....sigh

question about dual target crit hit,.... as of last season only one person gets injured on multiple target crit hits,... so who decides who gets injured? the hitter, hittee, or judge????????????

Yeah, pneumonia can suck.
My dad got it at age 58, and he was down with it for about a MONTH. Part of the problem is his office is in the basement, where his computer is, and he couldn't leave there. So about two weeks in, I got pissed at him and told him I'd take a sledgehammer to his pc if he didn't stay upstairs where it wasn't cold and damp.
Somehow, he got better. :laugh:

Well, one time I saw a guy who had one leg quite noticably shorter than the other. He was from Nigeria, and had got a leg caught under a train or something.
They sat him in a chair, had him stick out his legs, and prayed for him. I watched as one leg grew slowly to perfectly match the other.
So yea, prayer really can make someone feel better. ;)

Our new year started right before Costa Rica. So they gave 15 days off in good faith.
I'm still down by 9 days, and calling out sick will add more. I have to be at work, unless my boss gives me grace to go home.

Well, try and take it easy as best as you can Turtle. If you're on the mend, let your body get stronger to stave off any future illness. :) I tend to overwork myself right after being sick...and it just makes things worse. You'd think I'd learn to take my own advice. heh

WakandaMan's gonna kill me.
Twice I had chances to perplex attack and defense values to make a crucial hit.
First time was a 12 on 17. I chose damage over probability. Rolled a 2+2, where the knockback would have done more damage.
Then I had an 11 on 15. Again I chose damage, hoping for a KO. Rolled a 2+1.
About the only positive out of this is I haven't managed to get Doom injured.
What's the record for the most injuries in a single game ... ?

Unfortunately no...whenever you get hit by a crit hit or do a crit miss..you're injured automatically
In my game, Stepper's Jade crit missed and then I crit hit her..so Turtle had to roll if she was gonna be benched for the whole season...

Oh, ouch. Poor Orko. Two of his team are injured for next game then. The Demon was crit hit and GL crit missed.

So, if two in a game happen, you have a chance to lose them for the season. Or, if you play someone injured and they get injured again they are gone (pending the turtle roll). Is that all correct?

I know there were alot of crit hits in my games last season, I think my game vs the outsiders last season I had 2 or 3 crits hits and 1 crit miss, and I think Iceman had another crit miss that game.
We've had four injuries thus far (3 to my team, 1 to my opponent's). I figured if there was a record, we'd have to be at least in competition for it.

I think the Batman Enemies vs. the JLA (Tanis) had a ton of injuries last season. I think that was the game his Mary Marvel got taken out for the season....

Hmm, Mary never got benched...she did get injured twice...the first time was in my first game with GreatArelius where it was a crucial I needed and she crit missed...there were three crits in that game actually...no four! Mary Marvel crit missed, Ghost Widow got crit hit on...The Atom got crit hit on and I crit hit on Elongated Man...so there's 4 right there and 3 injuries on my team...can anyone beat that???? ;)

I've managed to get Parademon, Scandal, and Deadshot all injured this game (Deadshot was a critical miss). Catman responded by injuring Captain Cold.

I'd say overall I am fairly pleased with my teams preformance without Shazam , I really tried to focus on other pieces that could move me away from being a tentpole team to one with a bit more balance, Tanis and my match basically came down to a two dice rolls, If I hadn't crit missed or GL had missed then Jade would have lived. I hate that she is injured and I need a few more stats to upgrade her but now I'll probably have to wait till like game 5 anyway. I am just ahppy to have the E Dr midnite on my squad now, so he can benefit from the JSA team ablity too, oh plus support with Willpower never hurts.

I'd say overall I am fairly pleased with my teams preformance without Shazam , I really tried to focus on other pieces that could move me away from being a tentpole team to one with a bit more balance, Tanis and my match basically came down to a two dice rolls, If I hadn't crit missed or GL had missed then Jade would have lived. I hate that she is injured and I need a few more stats to upgrade her but now I'll probably have to wait till like game 5 anyway. Yeah props for trying to get away from the tentpole team...I would REALLy like to do that as well...just so I can upgrade my other characters...but it's hard if Hal's on the squad..he just SUCKS up all the stats...what a ball hog...;) And that was a pretty good squad you had...the JSA TA is pretty evil when you have a 17 person on there...I just got lucky with all my rolls..even with a 10 attack and Trick Shot through hindering, I still needed a 7 which is less than even odds...so yeah, that's a good squad you had...and yeah it WAS a good game. :) Had me getting all nervous whenever I hit the roll the dice button. ;)

I am terrified of crits for my early games. Due to upgrades coming a lot slower than I expected, I have very little backup bench while still making close to 300 point teams.
Well, my Avengers just engaged shield, we'll see how it goes. FF Wolverine, pleasepleaseplease crit miss.
Catman is one SA and one KO from becoming Pouncin', Pummelin', Vaultin' Catman.
... So, I figured now is as good a time as any to ask and see if anyone could figure out a reason why the three of those wouldn't work together. :)

Crimison Avenger is a Nasty little piece I might have to use her more often keeps a 9 attack the whole time with 4 clixs of psy blast and 2 of RCE, I keep her right next to Atom Smasher and pow.

Question about the upgrades during mid-season. Since Black King has enough to upgrade once from SA stats and once from KO stats...can I suggest two Feats at that time and (if approved) upgrade him with both?
Also, If I am approved for both Feats, must he use them each time or can I choose not to equip him with them.

only one upgrade at a time, usually only one figure can upgrade, unless its is your MVP. and you can use the feats when you want you are not required to use them at all

If 2 is a flier, it is allowed to make a ranged attack at the normal number of targets. However, since it it based, these targets must be adjacent to it. In the scenario given above, yes, 2 may multi-attack 1 and 3. If either of them were a square farther away, 2 would only be able to shoot the one it is based with.

I was wondering what league policy would be on renting a figure from another figure.
Say I wanted a particular figure for a round, could I buy that figure from another player, then when the round is over sell it back at a lower point cost?
Could be a good way to flesh out injured teams, while letting the figure owner get extra stat points.

I mean seriously I think this is the first time that we haven't known basically the entire set with stats before the Inquest spoiler hits the street.

Yea, regular season games last 3 weeks, so 2 more weeks lefted. Im only on turn 3 with DrStrangeFate, I hope we get to finish but come monday I have a delay of game so I will get one turn tomorrow from my opponent (even thou its TMNT).

I'm pretty sure that's a record for total stats. I'm not positive, but I think my 5 SA 5 KO performance with Moonstone in a preseason game last season was the previous record holder. Shazam might have that beat, though.
Oh, and my game is done, so if Turtle needs a Marvel guy to sub for a DC player, I'm down.

I have a question about upgrading and buying feat cards. If one of my members buys a new feat, is that feat locked onto that character or can anyone on the team that meets the prerequisites of the card use it? For example, can I upgrade Despero with a feat, say force field, then let Capt. Cold and or Circe use it, or does it have to be a feat card that only Despero can use? The rules aren't real clear on this.

The feat belongs to the guy who upgraded for it. Only he can use it. He doesn't have to be the only guy on the team that could have that feat, but only he can use it (but he doesn't have to).

If all the games finish before the allotted time, we usually just start the next round of games right then.
Saw Iceman's show ON-Demand (yea for Comcast!) and it was GOOD! Make an effort to see it...
I am done with my game so consider me a sub this week (next week I am in North Carolina and without a computer) for any marvel game since I am in the DC league.

His girlfriend made fun of him, and called heroclix a "nerd-game". We have about 4 or 5 kids who play from my youth group, and this guy finally get a girlfriend, who he spends most of his time with and now no longer wants to play heroclix.
He sold all his heroclix to another kid for $90.00. I'm a little ticked off, because I gave him most of those pieces for free.
Hormones > Heroclix

What's funny is I got my new issue of Wizard on Saturday (which has a pick of Thanos from the new set) and it talks that there is a big drop off rate of teens who read comics around 15 or 16, but they come back around 20 to 25.

Not saying I hope Fuzzy goes, but if you lose 1 Marvel and 1 DC, you still have parity (after you reshuffle an Indy back to DC). It will play havoc with your schedule though.

I won't be changing the schedule. It took far too long for me to set that up. That's why thus far, when someone drops out, there teams become FAUX teams, where any player from an the other side can run them on a game, if they have some extra time.

Ok, so I know some of you have played D & D before. Have any of you ever played the card game Munchkin? I heard about it so I bought it. It's really fun. Nothing else to say, just that you should try it out.

There is nothing more broken in that game than a player who has the Casting Couch. Most of the time, it's a friggin' Thief with the Magnificent Hat and Peripheral Vision. Nothing short of Annihilation will stop such a player.

Well of course they will. I'm swinging with 7 and 8 attacks over here, and they only go downhill from there......

Never tried Munchkin, but I have been playing Killer Bunnies. Since I don't need any more Sinister, I've been buying a KB expansion each week at my venue. :grin: Fun little game and I can see the potential for chaos with a lot of players.

I try to feel as many midgets as I can, its not easy with my hectic lifestyle. I can generally get through 4 to 5 a day and...uh...I seem to have misread the question, my feelings on midgets? They're...tender.

1)Favorite team would have to be the X-Men of the 90s. I grew up on that stuff and no matter how Chuck Austen hurt them, they are still my favorite. (I'm also a fan of the last incarnation of the teen titans but theres already a young justice team, I see)
2) Migets can be good for tossing, although I have befriended one or two in my travels.
3)Psh, I just got out of Physics 2, I'm not doing any more math today.
4)Most definately. However, I perfer something spicier.
5) I probably wouldn't be playing with KC Shazam but I suppose if I was, I would give them the chance. I try to be a good sport :)

I brought my baseball bat to fight of "examiners" if need be. (If Beak can be an exile with just a baseball bat, I might be able to pass this exam with a baseball bat....and my rugged good looks....which now that I think about it might do me more harm than good in this kind of examination)
