no I played for Vanderbilt, we only had the lead on rare rare occasions and that is what the coaches would say. its even worse when your running back fumbles on the 1 going in for the go ahead score with less than a min remaining at LSU.... my goodness that was over 10 years ago and I still haven't let go

Firestorm was going to be my Coldcast, and the DEO Agent was going to be Sharif... I can live without Sharif (probably), but Coldcast was a pain to find someone relatively close in ability...

He gets punked, but he's a lot like Deathstroke or Doomsday. Just saying his name gets at LEAST 3-5 panels of heroes with either a grimace or a gaping mouth.
And they SHOULD fear him. He's friggin' Prometheus. He nearly took out the entire JLA single-handedly, and half of his weaponry was his intelligence (Flash and Superman were only stopped out of fear).
And frankly, considering that he's the exact opposite of Batman, I figured he was a perfect fit for the Batman Enemies.

I agree I think that they made the right descision in making him a wild card rather than a BE since he is a gun for hire, I think I was a great pick, mine I guess were somewhat obvious

Huntress will be standing in for Invisible Kid. I couldn't come up with anyone who fit the bill in the DC universe that I could fit on my team AND would be competitive.

Yeah, against any foe with Fortitude, I'd probably bench Prometheus that day. Considering he isn't a true BE memeber, and that there isn't anything to upgrade him TO (besides giving him feats that are unneccessary), I'll reserve him for the bigger matches when I need that kind of power.
I'm pretty certain, depending on how the rest of my picks go, and how my preseason matches go, that I won't need him at all.

I'm with you, after the playoffs Shazam does not need any more points poor hawkgirl is 1 SA away and MR T is 2 SA from an upgrade they will be my focus in the preseason along with any rookies I get.

Yeah, that's kinda why I took Prometheus. Granted, he's not KC Magog, but he definitely gives me a lot more bang if and when I need it. But he's pretty unneccessary otherwise. I mean, there isn't a feat in the world that I'd give him, and there's nothing to upgrade him to....so it's kinda pointless.....

Also why I grabbed Vampire Batman as opposed to, say, Vixen (other than her being taken, I mean). He's not a huge heavy hitter, but it'll be nice to have someone in the 100-point range for if I need a bigger gun. As is, my team's looking like I'll need swarm tactics for most games until I can upgrade people.
Yay! I got my Scalphunter (U Fantomex) I only wish he had some regeneration, but with Deadpool out of the running, he was the best I could find (well that, and that outwit of his sure could come in handy...).
Ok, I gotta get some real life work done.
Maybe some more draft picks later.
Can't make any promises though.

Oh yes, the Midnights Sons/Secret Defenders will be a force to reckoned with, mark my words. Now if only all the other teams would stop drafting my potential members (Marvel Knights, Defenders, X-men Blue, Fantastic Four(s), etc...:laugh: )

Heh, my MVP was Clayface. And even after the Galactus game, he STILL doesn't have enough stats to upgrade.
I'm distributing my prize for beating Galactus just so I can maybe give him a little push.
Then again, I often forget that the guy was benched for the season after game 3. You new players that have your teams all figured out haven't even tasted that kind of pain yet. That's why my roster is looking the way it is. I'm going to have contingency plans this year.

So no E Dr Midnite till game two,
so if I understand it all the stats earned during the playoffs/ extra big fig games will be wasted. Shazam has like 17 SA right now even if I don't use him in the two preseason games whatever he would earn in game one would go to waste since the category resets to zero when you upgrade :ermm:

Yup...I have 19 SAs for Hal...he's already at his Vet..has THREE feats on him...there's only SO much I can give him! ;) But I do have three more upgrades for him though...I'll probably never use them, but it's fun and you get to upgrade your MVP after each game as well as another fig...and who knows...maybe we'll bump up the game points to 600...:cheeky: :rolleyes:

That's kinda my beef with the system too. I was GOING to give Deadshot all the stats he needed with my 5 KOs to disperse, until I learned he was already gone. Then having R Doombot get the KO on Galactus, and be ready for an upgrade himself seems wasted, since going through all the trading requried to get him would be difficult, and even if I pulled it off, he's back at 0 again anyways.
I've kinda resigned myself to just accepting that the Bat enemies can't have a flier, so I'm going another route entirely for movement.

The starter is unavailable, and the rookie doesn't fly. Take a good look at the rookie's stats and tell me that it would upgrade sometime this season.

Yup, and on top of that, since we're rebooting in season 4, I really don't have enough time to POSSIBLY upgrade him to the starter.

1. On a BE team, I write off anyone that can't, at the very least, wildcard the batman enemy TA. It's a hardcore requirement for my team to be effective.
2. The only wildcard flier I really have access to anymore is Trickster, and I'm not touching that hunk of garbage. He's far too expensive just to be my taxi. Even if he is swinging with an 11 attack.
3. Despite not having a flier, I think I'll still be ok. Between Azrael, Prometheus, two leadership rolls, and a lot of other movement powers on my future draft picks, I should be able to get around just fine. Not having the ability to carry people puts me at a severe disadvantage, but frankly, I think I got through last season pretty well without it. Doombot was essential in some games, but I lived without him in others. I think Tenk and Iceman can both attest to this.
4. I may still grab man-bat and go crazy with him in pre-season to see if I can't get him up to at least the HT E. Since it is pre-season, and most of my figures are at their peaks anyways, I should feel free to get a little risky with my strategy just to get him some stats. And it will add some challenge that will make it easier on the newbie teams I face.
5. I couldn't end this on just 4 points. 5 is a good number to end off with. :laugh:

4. I may still grab man-bat and go crazy with him in pre-season to see if I can't get him up to at least the HT E. Since it is pre-season, and most of my figures are at their peaks anyways, I should feel free to get a little risky with my strategy just to get him some stats. And it will add some challenge that will make it easier on the newbie teams I face.

I think that at the end of season two we should be able to upgrade anybody who is eleigble and start the preseason of season 3 (getting ahead here) with clean stats. I know this might punish some minor players so maybe we could put all their points into a pool SA, AST, DFD =1 KO =2 and if combined they reach a designated total 10-15 then they two can upgrade.
just my two cents I don't want to punish the new players who have no stats but there should be some benefits for staying with the league

Captain Boomerang, as was mentioned, is not captain boomerang. He's boomer's kid. And his stint as a criminal didn't last long enough for us to even say he was a criminal. What has he done, other than lose his father?
Ravager doesn't get much explanation.
Lady Shiva is not a hero. She took the place of Black Canary as part of a deal, and is already out of that pact again.

Well, her figure certainly isn't horrible considering that the R is only 20pts. and can use a wildcard or other Batman Enemy to boost her poor attack value. However, if I ever actually play Shiva in a game, I've got a mod of her that's on a V Iron Fist dial, as that dial is the one that fits her abilities far better than her own figure ever did.
And, yeah, the closest they've come to making a proper Cassie Cain dial is the one the mistakenly labeled 'Dark Knight Detective'.

I have almost leveled hawkgirl once how hard can he be I accept your challenge and will take hawkman but not next....
