Zakiszak's 60s Avengers is done drafting for a while.

I don't get what the big deal is with KC Green Lantern. The only time I ever played him in a tournament, using the Sinister Six of course, my E Mysterio backhanded him twice in a row. Starting on his 20 DV. Of course, he then proceeded to melt the rest of my team afterward, but whatcha gonna do?

Maybe I'll have to change which 'team feat' I'm going to request. Either would greatly benefit my team, but I get the feeling I'll have to really work to convince TMNT to let me have Auto Regen for 'Scandal'.
That, and a little tweaking could get me to 298pts.

I don't understand why KC GL's such a big target either. We already have a 20 D with HSS in Vance's Flash, and a 5-click HSS wonder from our returning JSA champs. Go pick on them. :)

Did the Sentinels of Magic have Obsidian before? Cause, now that I'm thinking about it, I don't know if that should've been allowed. Obsidian was part of Infinity Inc., but to the best of my knowledge he was never part of the JSA, and he even fought them on numerous occasions. Of course this isn't my call to make, but just thought I'd throw that out there for consideration.

Actually it dies down pretty fast around 2pm every day...around 3pm, only a few posts here and there...but yeah on a Friday..usually around non draft time, it dies down like at 11am or noon. ;)

Your opponent let this happen why? And racking up a KO on a certain fig with another really means nothing. I imagine Black Canary had no help whatsoever in the battle (and if that was the case, I'd love to see how Prometheus rolled).

My last truly thematic choice went out the window with Manticore. There are many figs out there that would work as other Phalanx replacements, but are quite hard to get my hands on.
Saturn girl could work as Sister Psyche (although I don't know if she could fly). Captain Boomerang would be my ideal choice for Synapse. Guardian would be a perfect stand in for Back Alley Brawler...kinda. But seeing as I'm new, I figured I'd just see what I can get out of this season and hope for more of a theme next season.
After all, I'm just a new guy with a team nobody cares about.
See, the reason why no body cares whether the Indy guys are drafting thematically or not is because no one has any clue what a thematic Indy team would look like.
Indy 1: "This Rasputin guy ... I know he's in Hellboy, right? Is he a good guy or a bad guy?"
Indy 2: "I don't know. I'm just piling up a bunch of guys with 'Judge' in their name and hoping they were friends with Judge Dredd."
Indy 3: "You guys got any clue about this Shark lookin' guy from the Arachnos team? What's his story? Who would he work with?"

He'd announced KC thinking that I was going to try to base him, so she Perplexed/ICwO her range up to 2, hit him and stunned him for 3 clix, causing him to push. Pushed to do the same thing the following turn. He chose to go after her instead of running (couldn't have Prometheus shown up by V Black Canary, you know), pushing himself again, and missed his attack, and she finished him off after clearing.
He wasn't a dumb opponent, he just overplayed his hand against a figure he didn't know very well.
After all, I'm just a new guy with a team nobody cares about.

And honestly, no one is ever going to give half a piss about the Indy teams (much like they didn't give one about the Indyclix set itself). I'd love it if there were more CoH figs out there or more that I might have access to that would make sense for other draft picks that would still fit thematically.
I know my team will probably get wiped 6 ways from Sunday most rounds, but this is all in hopes that I can set myself up better next season.

There is some intense scheming and thievery going on. We have a celebrity in our league. Bestiality, rueing, foursomes, it was an interesting read.

And I still say that if we didn't go by TA's, and went by strict theme, that half my team would have to be disbanded immediately. A lot of rogues worked together from time to time, but only just before they were attempting to kill each other.

True, and my team is the opposite. Most don't have any TA at all, but yet were part of the Hellfire club (some at the same time, others not).
TA's where, where? Seriously though, I wish there was a Marauder TA.
Mr. Sinister is a LOT higher up on my list of *actual* brilliant tacticians than say... Harley Quin!

The Carter Hall LE and KC Hawkman are gold. The REV is pretty meh... The low attack values mean the Charge and CCE (on the E and V) are mostly wasted points, and the low defense values just compounds that by lowering the amount of time you have to even try to use them.
And on top of that, those self-same low attack and defense values, and the absence of Toughness/Regen make for a pretty poor representation of Hawkman, in my opinion. That's more of a personal gripe, though. :confused:

If you're thinking of the "Rock of Ages" storyline, then the real Joker was a member of the IL, but was ambushed by Plastic Man who took his place to spy on them for Batman. I would think the Clix still represents the "Real" Joker, as he was a member and played a big part in that story, both before and after Plas jumped him.

So far the following teams have invoked the wrath of Doom:
Ultimate Brotherhood- for stealing Doom's ally the Mad Thinker
The Marauders - for stealing one of Doom's favourite mercenaries Sabretooth
The Defenders- for taking the Sub-mariner even before the draft started
Hydra - for stealing Doom's Doom-bot
If Doom does not recieve trade offers from these teams within the next day (in his favour of course), he swears that they shall rue the day they crossed him. Doom understands that such insolence may have been inadvertant, which is why he is generously allowing this small window to get back into his good graces.
That is all.
Sinister would be perfectly happy to part with Sabretooth, provided would recieve another genuine Marauder to take his place, get me Gambit or Polaris from those thrice-curse X-gits, and Doom can have a deal. ;)
If not, then I guess Doom will just have to find some other hired muscle to polish his mask for him :p

There's been an offer-counteroffer process going on, but the other party hasn't fully committed yet and wants to wait until the draft is over. I guess that means I'm at least accepting other offers. I'm not sure if the alignment thing keeps us from trading though (Thunderbolts seem to straddle that line of good and evil).
Two things about drafting..
I made a mistake. The last pick for the Fatal Five was not R Lex Corp Security it was R Lex Corp Battlesuit.
Secondly, I'm actually sick today. So I'll put up the rest of the drafting for round 3 this morning, and maybe come back later today for some more.

Well, you have to remember what they came from last year. They had R CD Superman, and leveled him up to Icons. They had R Sinestro, who for all I know, they upgraded. There's a lot of really expensive figures that just skyrocketed in price, and as a result, he has a ton of recruit points for this season.
And that's kinda where I'm lacking as well. I have a few upgraded figures, but they're all on my initial team already.
Well, I finished out Round 4 of drafting. Go check it out.

Wayne Brady...cool guy. He's from Orlando and I have actually done a few shows with him. I was a part of an Improv/Theatrical A Cappella group called Toxic Audio and we would do background noises and vocal intrumentation for him (I beatbox). Nice fella.
I think I'm actually more scared of the JLI have 270pts left then I am of the Society...they should both be drafting for a couple days past the rest of us....

In the defense of most Marvel players. They did send me multiple picks. But about 5 players seem to all be asking for the same exact 5 pieces every round. That was the reason for the Banshee mix-up. Soo many people had asked for him as their round 4 and 5 pick, that I had thought he was taken already, when in fact, Excalibur was the first people to grab him.

Well, as far as I knew, some characters will join either side (alignment wise). For instance, Beetle and Nighthawk from Sinister (could be on good or bad teams), Mad Hatter's team is technically good guys (but if you wanted him on a Bat Enemy Team it would still work). I don't know. Some pieces straddle the lines.

Catwoman's a tweener, like the thunderbolts, or anyone else who was bad and turned good. They were all options for both heroes and villains becuase they have been both heroes and villains.

What's wrong with one or two characters straddling the lines? It's not like every single person with the Batman Enemy could straddle the lines like that...
So, if a character is bad sometimes and good sometimes they can go to an evil or a good team, right?

Catwoman swings both ways as a villain and a hero...she can play both sides. She won't work with the crazies like Joker and Two Face, but she has beat the snot out of batman/Robin (or tried to at least).

Actually, there's a Batman comic (from the Timm animated adventures style), where Bane acts like a local Robin Hood in order to help out the poor kids in a depressed neighborhood. From what I recall, his only rationale for it was wanting to be loved.

I should fix it again to say that I was stupid to take the TA again. Once the rules about heroes/villians was made, I should have had the foresight to see that my TA was going to be everyone's grab bag.

For one, Poison Ivy likes to straddle. For two, she's defended kids in her garden plenty of times now. For three, she worked with Bruce to find a cure for her....self.....because she was sick of it.
Just like just about every other bat-villian, she straddles the line at times.

Actually, besides the Dini/Timm Batman Adventures title where Bane was something of a Robin Hood, Bane was also a good guy for a long while in the Gotham Knights title. He'd come across information that lead him to believe Bruce was his half-brother, and Bruce took him in an helped him find the truth (that they weren't related).
They worked together several times, including at least one instance where he saved Bruce's life. Bruce, Nightwing, and Robin eventually took Bane to the Himalayas in the search for his father where he decided to give up super-villainy. Bane re-appeared, apparently as a villain, in Infinite Crisis.
So, he's a gray-area character, too.
I should fix it again to say that I was stupid to take the TA again. Once the rules about heroes/villians was made, I should have had the foresight to see that my TA was going to be everyone's grab bag.
I don't think everyone's gonna try to take from your team...I don't...so that's not everyone! ;)
And everyone has the same problem...at least you don't have 11 other people going for the same figs...it's down to the bottom of the barrel and everybody's picking from a small pot....you have to battle it out against 4 other people...and a FEW of yours characters with good guy teams...not a lot...

Hey man, I'm not sure how many of your dudes have been taken, but with the number of teams in this league I think a lot of people have lost a good number of folks, especially in marvel.
For me, I couldn't draft Blizzard, Radioactive Man, Whizzer, Fixer, Swordsman, Hawkeye, and of course all of my good proxies. So I'm trying to make deals. With the way the rules are set up, it just happens, you know? I'm sure Soma is thinking "Damn, I couldn't get Zemo, Beetle, Meteorite, etc etc)

I wouldn't argue for Hush. Mr. Freeze at times has done good, although they are seldom. Also keep in mind that he worked for the good of human-kind before his wife died. Clayface totally depends on which one you're talking about. I seem to recall one split-off working with Batman at one time. Scarecrow wouldn't surprise me if there was some obscure comic out there where he helped Batman find a fearsome villian. Killer Croc can be swindled into helping Batman at times, because he's THAT STUPID. Penguin occasionally sells out his fellow villians. And Ra's truly believes that he IS a hero, and is the ultimate form of Justice. He has no love for evil, although he commits even more heinous evil to destroy it.
Line-walkers, almost all of them. And you wonder why Bruce gets stressed out.

I think you guys are extending the grey area a little too much...Catwoman's a really good example and easily can be determined to be a grey area person since she has a good and bad guy TA on her dials...Bane only has a bad guy TA...I don't think Turtle's gonna let a good guy team draft him...and if so, it'd probably be like how he ruled Captain Boomerang. If a good guy team is gonna draft him, then only the Outsiders can draft him since he's only been shown to be on that good guy team...same with Mad Hatter..only the Suicide Squad err..the Secret Six could draft him..no other good guy team can have access to him...so Bane would probably be along those lines and since there's no Batman allies team...no good guy team can draft Bane...and that probably goes with ALL the other Batman Enemies...they've probably only worked with either Batman or the Suicide Squad..which means only the Suicide Squad could possibly draft them...

In her career she started as a villian.
Currently, she's been on a more heroic side for a while.
The player asked for her, and gave me a good reasoning of her recent heroic attributes, and that they haven't been just for a brief stint.
So I decided that she could act as both a hero or a villian.
I'm not sure why this is so suprising, her U from HT does have the Bat Allies TA.
and that probably goes with ALL the other Batman Enemies...they've probably only worked with either Batman or the Suicide Squad..which means only the Suicide Squad could possibly draft them...

Not true. She's worked with the Birds of Prey, Nightwing, and I believe with Superman during the Hush arc (if you can count "throwing Lois from great heights to get him to remember his innate goodness" as "working with").

Nah, she's also worked with the JSA (Wildcat, Green Lantern, and others). She was a reluctant operative for the government (likely Checkmate), and worked with the JLA during the Crisis of Conscience (and, I think she was also a JLA reservist in the Morrison days).

If you must know (and don't you DARE change your draft pick because of it), she was my 5th round pick.
I kinda had it all planned out that she wouldn't get taken, since she's a villian, and her only available level was a villian TA, but I guess I was, yet again, wrong.
That's fine, I've got plenty of other roads to take here.

I never said I thought she was bad, I've just never seen her played. not online, not at tourneys, and not in fun games even though I have her. We just play theme games of which she doesn;t fit on any.
