How do you guys know which team feat you have?
I took the Marvel side suggestion that I have recieved, PM'd them to Vance, Vance after deep thought sent me back his answers, I then PM'd the player to let them know what was approved.
I'm planning to do the same for DC, but I'm working on getting the draft finished.

Ok, added round 9 for Marvel as well, that's all I got though for today.

Well, we got trades and team feats before I can start even getting intial teams together.
Hey, we're still moving faster than RPSC. Takes 3 months to get started in that league.

BTW, Iceman, I looked up that Taylor Kitcsh guy on IMDB. He looks kind of familiar (I just saw the movie today--awesome), but I'm not quite sure which guy he was. Did he get killed? And if so, how? If you don't want to post any spoilers, just pm me.

if you have any grounded charge figs, it's worth it. Especially if they're giants, or you are going to be going up against a giant.

So, now that we're near the end of the draft, will the season's games be expanded this time around? We played 6 games last time, but with this many teams, I just don't think that is enough. I'm thinking 8-10, maybe even 12 games, would be better.

Yeah I was wondering that myself...I've brought it up a few times but no one answers. :( I think around 10 would be good...but of course we wouldn't get to play everyone...12 might be a lot though...that means the season could possibly last a whole year...:O

On an un-related Draft note.
I picked up Justice League Season 2 last night.
Great set. Best of them all (Batman TAS, Superman TAS, Batman Beyond, Justice League)
I didn't realize how many episodes I hadn't seen from this season. Despero, the Death of Darkseid, Justice Lords.
Good stuff, and I'm only half way done.
Man I can't wait until they bring out the Season sets of Justice League here in the land of Oz. I'm itching to see all the episodes I've missed. They only have carppy DVD sets with a few assorted episodes on here so far. :(
On another note it is scary how fast this thread moves. Very intimidating when you don't have regular net access. I spend so long catching up that I barely have any time left to post anymore. :noid:

Got JL season two for my birthday. I'll start watching it Saturday. I am looking forward to seeing all of the episodes I missed while CN was playing musical timeslots.

Yet another reason why I think this league would benefit from becoming an internet group, thus gaining it's own forum, and working with several threads, instead of bumping this one in general discussion all day.

I don't want to toot my own horn but I think my Vision U is the steal since I got him in the 4th (much later if he wasn't my last pick) but he is good accross the board with a high attack but the key with him is that with the super nova set coming out :knockedou :knockedou we already know that he has a REV coming out with it. and seeing what they did to Kitty Pryde in Sin I know that Vision is going to get the classic 17+ defend :knockedou and all of that other good stuff EW SS avengers ta flight phase ect ect ect

The Vision was my third choice for my 2nd round pick. But I got my first choice instead.

Here is a blog that I did about Snakes on a Plane. Read it and then go see the flick.
Snakes on a Plane. See it. This weekend.
What follows is an account of why I did, and why you should too.
First off, let me just say that I am a huge fan of B-Movies. Not just B-Movies, but So Bad They're Good Movies. I almost look forward to them more than blockbusters and great films in certain situations. This was one of them.
I am also a GI-NORMOUS fan of Midnight showings and opening nights...premiers, sneak previews...pretty much anything that gets me in a theater packed to the gills with people. There is not a better movie going experience then a full theater of uber-psyched folks who are just itching to cheer and jeer and clap and make smart ### comments and laugh and laugh and laugh.
If you personally know me, then you've most likely been to an event like similar to this over the course of our relationship. Lords of the Rings, The Matrix, The X-flicks, Spiderman, MI2-3, Narnia, Star Wars...the list goes on and on of movies that I saw at Midnight or later. Nothin' mo betta then hittin' up the theater with your boys and girls and having pure, unadaulterated fun in a theater. Go ahead and boo if there's a bad preview. Don't be afraid to scream when someone gets bit by a big ### snake in the titty. It's all gravy baby.

In the meantime I'll use it as a segue into tonights festivities....
One of my castmates in Friday Night Lights, Taylor Kitsch, is in this movie. He is also in a movie that comes out soon called "The Covenant" (shout out to my boy). Anywho, so we put a call in and the entire cast of FNL gets comped into the 10:00 Austin premier at the Austin Draft House.
Now, if you've never been to a draft house...get to one...immediately. They serve food and beverages that no other theater can. Everyone has their own little man who comes by and takes your order. Tonight I went with the 4 course "Cheese" menu. Cheese Bread, Mozzarella Sticks, Pizza, Cheesecake....yes, it was good and I am now purging as I type this. Crowds get rowdy here. Rowdy is good for "Snakes on a Plane".
So, we get there and I immediately realize it's gonna be a great night. I see some old friends out front and it's go time. Then I meet a man that we all know and love. Quentin Jerome Tarantino, I #### you not, as sure as a horse is hung, I met this man. I meet him, shake his hand (my friends Tracie Thoms and Rosario Dawson introduced me, Holla!), and he tells me how lucky I am to be a part of the show I'm on and that there is no better place to be then Austin. Great start to the night. Then we get escorted past the lines and sat in our own little "Reserved" section, like superstars..but not quite...cause no one knows who we are.
Now, to the movie. I'm not gonna spoil a damn thing. I'm not even gonna tell you about it. I will tell you that before the flick we sat in the theater and watched a bunch of films called Blank on a Blank: "Racoons on Rocket Ships" "Giraffes on a Hot Air Balloon", and my personal favorite, starring Mario and Sonic "Hedgehogs on a Hummer". These were all highly entertaining and I hope they show them when you go to the theater.
Snakes on a Plane is an awful film, but possibly the greatest theater experience I've ever had. The crowd was excited. You could have powered a Metallica concert with the energy we had in that room. Never have I felt that much anticipation in a movie audience.
It has everything you'd want. Snakes, Sam Jackson, Death, Mayhem, Carnage...and it delivers on every count.
OK, now to the point of this Blog. Do yourself a favor. GO SEE IT THIS WEEKEND. You need to. I'm serious people. Go see it with a bunch of your friends, leave the critic in you at home, cut loose, and have a good time with a couple hundred strangers. Go and have an experience at the theater now while there are full houses everywhere. Seeing it now is key, cause the theaters are packed and it will only enhance your viewing.
If you wait, you'll be sorry...because screaming "Oh my God, that snake just bit that person in the TITTY!" in an empty theater won't be near as much fun without knowing that over 100 other people are having the same reaction. I promise.
Enough is enough, get these M'F'in Snakes of this M'F'in Plane!

Well, the draft isn't one hundred percent done, but almost. So here's my question:
What figure are you shocked to see undrafted?
For me it's Arkon. I tried to draft him as a sub for some Avengers, but was shut down by the morality rule. I would kill to have him on my team, and have trouble believing there aren't any Marvel villains squads that wanted and eighteen defense, 4 damage phaser.
Well, the draft isn't one hundred percent done, but almost. So here's my question:

Yeah, he doesn't exactly fit the Hellfire Club either. I can't think of one member (or even Hellion) that he'd be a proxy for.

I can't imagine Turtle having any problems with that and you're certain to get that sweet 15 point discount on her too! :)

I have an almost 11 month old...we're finally letting him crawl around everywhere in the house and yeah it's pretty tiring trying to keep after him and watch him and make sure he doesn't get into anything bad...or make a huge mess...either one...but it's not that bad right now...but I can totally see the weekends being more tiring when they get older...or if you have more than 1...
Wait until he's three and tall enough to get into every drawer in the house.

I have two Boys!!:) one is 3 and a half the other is 9 mos the three year old is tooo smart, I asked him to do something the other day he said wait after I asked again he goes "Wait - do you know what wait means??"

Yeah, my three year old is to the point where we allow him to play up in his room by himself when we're making meals or whatever.
He has gotten into the habit of playing upstairs for a while and then you'll hear him go running into the bathroom and running back almost immediately to his room. When I yell up and ask what he's doing and his response is, "Um, nothing. You and mom just stay down there for a while and don't come up here, okay?"
That response generally also means that he's gotten into his baby powder, sunscreen, baby lotion, shampoo, soap, or some combination thereof and has poured them either into his toybox or onto his carpet (or both).

As a side note...I didn't realize I have like the second highest trade rating in all the realms...I didn't know until I checked my rep and rock810 gave me some for surpassing him...granted it's only by one, but still...didn't even realize...so now he's gunning for me. ;) I'm gonna have to make a flurry of trades to keep my number two status! ;) I gotta catch up to hair10!!! ;) hehehehe...

He's been having diahria. But it's caused a severe rash on his hind quarters that has enduced bleeding.
He's also running a temp.
The blood they took eliminated any bacteral infection.
Also, his white blood cells are normal too
And the urine eliminated any kidney or unrinary tract infection
He's not loosing weight or dyhdrated, so that'd good news as well.
Because he's soo young they are on high alert.
So right now, we know what it isn't, but not what it is.

As some of you noticed, Shocker was not eligible for draft by the Sinister 6, because he's already a member of the MOE and he's locked-in.
So Sinister 6 picked up Vemon instead.

The date has been moved from the original street date of October 25th, three weeks later to November 15th to ensure the best possible product is delivered and newly imposed quality measures are enforced.

a judge at one of the venues I go to has some really cool scenarios...he pretty much always has a new one each week...if you wanna check it out...go check out the tournament list for Gator Games in California on the Wizkids website...
I'll tell you one that I liked that was really interesting and changed up the strategy quite a bit...he called it the Clairvoyance scenario where you rolled 1 six sided dice and then 2 six sided dice..and these were your rolls for that round...for instance I rolled a 4 and a 8 (2, 6). These would be my rolls through the round so if I wanted to breakaway, it would be a 4...if I wanted to attack, it would be 2, 6. If someone used PC, then the number would change to that for the rest of the round...so if I rerolled my attack and then got a 6, 6, I'd use 6, 6 for the rest of the round...so it makes things really interesting and makes you think differently too.

Here's a few I like to use.
-Random BFC's on games (mixes things up)
-Random team swap. You'll trade teams with someone for the duration of the tourney
-color swap (roll a d12 and see what color that is on the PAC, do it again and swap those colors on all dials for a round. Superman with Mind control and barrier is priceless)
-Survivor: build a team consisting of 5 figs (say 700 points). Figs enter 1 at a time and everyone plays on the same map. Last man standing wins. (limit feats on this one though. laz pit, protected, and ICWO can be boring)
-slugfest: no range, feats, TK, charge, transporters, or HSS
-1 die to rule them all: play normally except use 1 die for all rolls. All attack rolls are instantly doubles. Lots of crit hits and crit misses when you do this.
-shock the turtle: on the 3rd turn place a special marker in each corner. On each subsequent turn, it moves in 1 space along the diagonal. Anything that enters the plane of this 'barrier' takes unaviodable & unreducable damage. This one will almost always speed up play.
-clash of the titans: 1000points, no one under 100 points, 4 actions per turn.
-weenie roast: 300 points, no one over 35.

We just had a really fun scenario for the Kitty Pryde LE (which didn't even come in...):
Fading Away!
300 point Team, Unrestricted.
All hindering and blocking terrain are considered clear terrain for movement purposes ONLY. If HSS is used, your movement is halved.
It was pretty simple and the HSS restriction was necessary to slow them down a bit. Basically you could RS by running through a wall and shooting once you came out the other side. Now if someone knocks you back, you still hit the wall. heh heh It made for some very interesting play.

Bring your Archenemy to Work Day: 400 points, and your team must include an Arch-enemy pair. (Example: If you wanted to use Dr. Strange [FF], you must also include Baron Mordo). Poor Teamwork and Overconfidence are in play.
Bizarro World: All clix start on their final click and work their way up to the first. Support, Regen, and anything that mimics those effects (Nanobots, Suicide Squad, etc...) move you towards your first click as normal. Madness is in play.
Ever since I became a judge, I always try to do something like that once a month. Its great fun.

It really is. It can totally change strategies... do you push to get to your better clix, and risk dying that much quicker? Or do you stay on your weaker ones and just try to outmaneuver the others? It's funny to hear people get happy when they take damage. XD

I let them know the build total and any restrictions in the case of Bizarro World. They dont know thats what they are going to be playing. Because I may choose not to run any certain scenarios that week.
All other scenarios, I post on the Wizkids website, and let my players know about a month in advance. Like I've said, Bizarro World is an exception. And I havent heard any complaints from my players about the way that thats done.
I let them know the build total and any restrictions in the case of Bizarro World. They dont know thats what they are going to be playing. Because I may choose not to run any certain scenarios that week.
All other scenarios, I post on the Wizkids website, and let my players know about a month in advance. Like I've said, Bizarro World is an exception. And I havent heard any complaints from my players about the way that thats done.
Ah gotcha..okay cool...I wasn't too sure of the details..at first it sounded like you have to make up your team on the spot and it seems the only way to make a good one would be to bring lots of figs..okay I see now...thanks for the clarification. :)

My venue played a Bizarro game one night. Legacy Joker was king. I couldn't get my Vet Blastar to his good clicks.
I think the Bizarro world is fun...it's a nice change of pace...*shrug* I like to see what people come up with and what combos they can do...

I had tubes as a kid, and can't say it effected my hearing.
Actually they basically take the place of the eustachian tube.
The eustachian tube is what normally allows fluid to drain out of the ear, down into the throat. In most children who need tubes it's because their eustachian tubes aren't working properly. Ear tubes take their place then and allow better draining.
They can be a life saver for children who have recurring problems but they do have risks.
I myself am about 90% deaf in my right ear as a result of tubes. Though technically it should be surgically fixable.

YES! ;) I already did with the assumption that my trade is going through...I think everyone should pm their teams to turtle. Even those teams that are in trade talks...If you've pretty much know it's going to happen and already agreed with the other player, I think it's safe to say it's going to happen if it still falls in with the morality rule...so I think everyone should pm their teams to turtle if they wanna start playing tomorrow......

Not until after the first two pre-season games.
The first two pre-season games may weed out a few players who really can't keep up with the time comitment.
I don't want to have to re-adjust the schedule any more than have to, as it takes a while to figure out.

You lived in fremont? Cool, so do I...:) but I go to Gator work cuz I work in Menlo park, so it's a lot closer...still the judge there is really cool. He knows the rules down pat so I learned a lot from him...and he comes up with scenarios every week so it makes it cool to make a team and you won't always find the cheese there cuz of the scenario...so how long ago did you live in fremont?
Hopefully Turtle still has the trade PM I sent him last week-ish...
And hopefully I can keep up with the schedule since I start the new job tomorrow.

Yes, you get to change up your team before every match. The reason everyone is pming Turtle their teams is because he is the one who sets up all the matches and therefore needs our teams to do so:classic:

FYI, MSU, I just noticed your team got the Siphon Power feat. If you're hoping to use that as a sharable team ability for the rest of your LoSHers, that's not going to work. Team abilities gained through that feat can't be shared.
Say does anyone have a Venom LE or a Invincible (just the figure not the whole set) their looking to trade.

quick question about games, does everyone play everyone in there league? or do we just play x amount of games and who ever fits in fits in??? bc I'm online midnights and can post several moves if ofcourse I play someone else who is online during the midnight hour,... but ofcourse I can and will try to post during the day,... (just a bit harder since I am doing the "daddy day care" when I get home from work) my son is almost two (october) so I feel what everyone was saying earlier :laugh:

First, JacinB has given up his use of mystic arts from Dr. Fate and instead will be picking up Spider-man 2099 from TMNT's Ult Fan 4. Odd how that Spidey figure looks vaguely like Catman.. weird. ;) Oh, and Ult Fan 4 will also be given 10 Recruit Point to get rid of the good doctor.
And because he feels sooo confident with his team, he's also selling of Live Wire for 20 Recruit Points back to the Legion of Super Heroes.
And on a completely different note, one last DC trade that should rock the status quo. Jacin's Secret Six looks much more formidable now, especially with all the BE on the team (which I, of course, have an affinity for). And I really like the trade that Tenk and Tanis made, that should even them both up quite a bit.

Happy trade day! And there's nothing more American than trading, so let's take a look at some Avengers trading with zakiszak Avengers!
First off, looks like Captain America will leave the Avengers and go over to the Marvel Knights. In exchange, the Knights will be giving up their Captain... Captain Marvel that is. Say hello to the Avengers Monica, and hope Wizkids never makes a Starfox clix.
Next the Avengers will be using some of their recruit points to pick up another Captain. They'll spend 65 recruit points to pick up John Walker LE, who also wore the mantle of Captain America (and US Agent).
In other Exiles related news. The Exiles will be trading discombobulous' Freedom Phalanx a full 60 Recruit points for a very familiar face. Abbey Chase is back on the Exiles, somehow demoted to her Rookie though. Oh well, and the Phalanx pick up 60 recruit points.
