Have you noticed certain teams have an outrageous ammount of representatives? Wouldn't it be nice to round out some of the more disadvantaged rosters? One of the biggest problems in the comics (And Heroclix) is that most team players just keep jumping from group to group. I wanted to suggest some charaters that:
A) Have not already been made into clix
B) Have developed enough in comics to justify different abilities for a REV set
With that in mind which of these charaters would you want to see made:
1)Clea (R Umar's daughter, E Dr. Strange's apprentice, V Defender)
2)Daimon Hellstorm (R Son of Satan, E Defender, V Depowered)
3)The Gargoyle (R Activation click, E Defender, V Full Gargoyle)
4)Cloud (R Girl cloud, E Defender, V Boy cloud)
5)Overmind (R Evil, E Defender, V Evil)

Gotta go with Daimon Hellstrom. Just think his REV would be a very cool one to play. It would have multiple powers and each of the levels would be quite different from each other.

In my mind, Son of Satan has had the most character development and would thus make the most interesting REV set.
However, I'll echo mr_moneypenny and say that any new Defender would be a good thing ;)

Cloud. Joined in Defenders #127 (January, 1984). A sentient nebula who was able to assume human form. She at first modeled herself after human female Carol Faber. After falling in love with Moondragon, Cloud also developed a male form modeled after Danny Milligan.

I'm torn, I want Cloud, Damian, and Gargoyle for my Defenders teams. Overmind would be cool too, just not all that necessary (but we don't have enough Marvel Bad guys with a space background).
Clea would be great for a magic themed set, but I'd hate to see her take up an REV slot...

It's not a "Marvel/DC" thing, they just aren't well known. They're like those guys that appeared for the first time in years during Infinite Crisis and then promptly faded back into the woodwork when it was over.
I would like to see Red Guardian (thanks for the mention, Icehot). I really wouldn't mind seeing all of them (eh, maybe not cloud). And where's Foolkiller? Anyway, I voted for Clea (probably as a unique). I already use The Demon/Etrigan as my Gargoyle.

Not all of those DC fans, of course. While I consider myself much more of a DC fan these days, most of these characters were around long before I abandoned my status as a Marvel Zombie. I confess to having quit reading Defenders before Cloud came along, so I really don't know who he/she is. The rest of them, though, are very familiar to me.
I actually have the first issue of Son of Satan. He's the one I voted for. Ideally, I'd love to see him in his old, original costume, but I know he's more likely to be seen in one of his more current outfits.

Yeah, the trick is, these jokers would end up in a Marvel set, instead of other Marvel characters. True, that's not as vital as in a DC set, where many less of the total character catalog have been made yet, but it's still a concern. I mean, look at Sinister.
For the record, of course, I'm no DC zombie, I buy as many Marvel books (more since OYL actually) than I do DC, covering pretty much all branches of the Marvel U, and I'd still never heard of several of those characters at all, and the first three I've only seen unmemorable cameos of over the years, in fact more often in "retcon" and "one shot" series like the updated Doctor Strange origin or Marvel Mangaverse than in the core 616 universe..

I am a huge Defenders fan, I believe I have read every issue of their title and various crossovers, and some of these characters have me stumped. Who is Aeroika?
I would love to see Hellstrom or Gargoyle, but my top pick would be a remade Iceman, and an Angel with the Defenders TA. Howard the Duck would rock; he knows quack fu. I always really liked DevilSlayer, but he is pretty obscure, even by Defenders standards. Of course, they've already made characters like Arkon and Armin Zola, so obscurity doesn't seem to be a sticking point for the Marvel sets.
They seem to deliberately put a few obscure or minor characters in each set, so they don't run out of top flight characters too quickly. Think about it; if they put all of your favorite characters in one set, would you buy the set after that?
Can I vote against Andromeda? She was worthless.

Glad to see the Defenders getting some love! We also need some remakes (after the new Silver Surfer), we still need:
-Astral form Dr. Strange (made of clear plastic, with phasing, support and PB on his first click.
-A new, playable Hulk with Defenders TA.
-A new sub-Mariner for less points and with the "flying dolphin" movement(in his black armor)
-A new Moondragon
-Namorita (also with the "flying dolphin" movement)

Clould and Overmind I'm not surprised people haven't heard of. As Hatut Zeraze pointed out, has she even made an appearance since her run in the Defenders ended? The Overmind at least had a history as a villain pre-Defenders, but still pretty obscure. Gargoyle and Daimon at least have had a longer history with he Defenders, but to my knowledge haven't been seen prominently for a while either. Clea at least has been a semi-regular in Dr. Strange's own books besides her Defenders stint.
I voted for her, but Gargoyle was a close second.

Clea and Hellstorm are the only 2 that have had any type of coverage after Defenders. Clea has made several appearences due to her mystical background.

My thoughts as well. Would I like to see more Defenders pieces? Sure. Should we be giving up a slot for the gender-bending-tastic Cloud for that? Um, maybe not. There's a lot more prominent Marvel heroes and baddies out there that haven't been touched (Grim Reaper, Graviton), and plenty out there that need remakes (including some Defenders, I note.)

I'm sure that if Cloud made it into the game there would be a handful of people (at least 15, maybe more) who would be pleased by that, but there would be tens of thousands who would fall into some state from indifferent to upset about it, and many larger lobbying groups would be upset that their favorite characters did not take those slots in the expansion.
Now, I'm not saying that there should never be any more Defenders, or that none of those pieces should be made, but each piece should live or die on its own merits. When picking characters for the next set, they should say to themselves "should we add Clea to the game? Is that a good idea?", not "Which Defender should we add to the game, here's a list we can pick one off of".

Certain characters do bear repeating (the marquee names that help draw new people into the game). The rest of the slots can and should be filled with all sorts of other characters. There are decades of comic history out there to draw from; it would be a shame not to use it.
I voted Clea but I think her R/E/V should be more like:
R Unaffiliated rebel in the dark dimension, companion of Dr Strange
E Defender reflects her time both as a defender and as Dr Strange's aprentice, as the two of them could use the TA as Mentor & student
V Unaffiliated Ruler of the dark dimension, estranged wife of Dr Strange; with a dial comparable to his, and a sculpt with the flames of Regency on her head

I also like Gargoyle and Son Of Satan.
and they're really not that obscure; they're just older. They had a big heyday back in the 70's. Clea has been a part of Dr Strange history since the early 60's.
They made the Defenders Team for this game and there are a limited number of Defenders. Its a defunct team, and there are no new members. This isn't the X-Men. I think you're missing the whole point of this poll. plus: nobody is holding a gun to your head here. not interested in this poll? very simple: don't participate.

Minor quibble, I believe the name is Damion Hellstrom, and his superhero name is Hellstorm. He got my vote for a potentially nice sculpt and power combination. I would've voted for Clea, but if they make her, I'm gonna want Wong and Rintrah too!
Red Guardian was definitely overlooked, I mostly read when she was there, and didn't see much of Cloud and Overmind. An R/E/V with different sculpts is in order. The rookie and vet look pretty much the same, they'd only need to make the Defender woman for the exp.
By the way, Gargoyle was prominent in Universe X, writing down Nighthawk's visions of the future.

Obscurity is simply a matter of how long it's been since a character's been used. Once upon a time, no one knew who Nitro was, despite being a long-time favorite of mine.

There's nothing wrong with wanting (Or not wanting) these particular 5. I love the Danger Room making a new Angel but that's because he looks a lot like the angel I remember (Champions). But how many more angel's do we need? I agree with the arguement of the Danger room WHERE IS ICEMAN?But, which other one would you kick out to make room for him?..

Yes, I'd like to have more Defenders. These obscure charaters can be related to clix quite easily:
Hellstrom was Hellcat's husband.
Clea is Dr. Strange's wife.
The Gargoyle is Marvel's The Demon.. Man-Thing/Swamp Thing stuff :)
Overmind. Just think Xavier with the power of the Juggernaut :)

When I responded, 15 people had voted for Cloud. Now it's up to a dominating 18. The first three are moderately well known to people who either read comics a few decades ago or own a "Marvel Universe" guide of some kind, the latter two are complete "?"'s.

You could also have a Cloud or two hanging around Storm and Thor.

the initial post explains it all; and of course, because a single person outlined the choices, they are arbitrary...ie their choices.
Its just a poll dude. This isn't even an official Wizkids Poll. Its just for fun. and the question is... given the choice of these characters... which would you choose? You can always choose "none of the above" by not voting and browsing a different area of the site for something you are interested in.

Not by a whole lot, but Hellcat was just in She-Hulk, and Nighthawk was just in Thunderbolts. Haven't seen Valkyrie in a while, but we have seen the ultimate version at least.

I won't lose any sleep if they never make any of these five, we have enough defenders to make a solid team right now without these losers.
I voted Son of Satan just because along with mephisto supposedly coming in the next set and a few of the already made fig's I may be able to make a Satan based team and that would be cool.

Sorry I was grumpy five minutes ago when I wrote my last post, I am older and wiser now having read this thread and realizing that at this point it's either characters that I don't care that much about or characters that I already have. I would way rather have ton's of B and C listers than one more sculp of Elektra, wolverine, spiderman or daredevil. So I want all of these losers and every other loser until we have run through the entire roster, at this point there are only 20 or so more marvel characters I am hoping for so lets just load on the other guy, because I love collecting them and the only thing that will stop me is another set like ultimates.

Well, as I stated in the 1st place I would like to get some new Defenders. Not asking Wizkids to add these (Though I would be stoked if they did) so I am suggesting we 'MAKE ONE'!!! (Insert scary music).

BUT I'd like to invite you guys to share in the fun. Until the time he becomes an offical figure, I'd like to see if anyone would be interested in doing as a group an 'unofficial' Gargoyle figure.
I've suggested using The Demon's body and Fury's wings. Need other suggestions on the figure and need help on the dial.
