SO I moved tro Albuquerque from NYC, I look up tourneys here in NM. There are 3 places that play..... One is in Albuquerque, here is the kicker, I moved here in July the venue that holds the tourneys has been moving since i moved here a MONTH ago!!!! The next closest tourney is 3 hours away.... So if there is anyone in NM specifically Albuquerque and wants to play clix let me know as I will try to become a judge and find a venue to hold tourneys at.

I know this post is old, but eh. ^ That is one of the many reasons I stopped playing clix when I lived in Alb. NOBODY wanted to play. Venues wouldn't sponser events, judges were dropping like flies, stores charged a ton of money for singles. Ugh. All of that combined drove me steadily away from the game.
That was in 2004. I have no idea what its like now, hopefully a lot better.
I am alittle far south or you, but there are two venues that hold regular tournies further South.
Dave's Comics and Games in Las Cruces
Analog Games in Alamogordo
Analog games I believe has a more consistant clix player base. If you are ever down that way or planning on coming down, PM me and I'll let you know what is going on.
I have seen events listed at 2 venues in the Albuquerque/Santa Fe area, and I believe there is a venue in Deming as well.

Best place to play in the Albuquerque Metro area is at The Inquisitive located in Rio Rancho. I play there and am the alternate judge we have been around a little over a year now and have a strong group we draw on average around 10 people but have had as many as 18-20. Overall a very good group of players that really enjoy the game and while giving you competition will also be very friendly to you....
The Inquisitive Coffe and Gaming in Rio Rancho
you can find them on the net or through the wizkids website...

There was one comic store *way* back in the day (I'm talking, like, pre-Indy), but I want to say that it somehow made it onto the list of verboten establishments for airmen. This place (http://curious-games.com/) looks like it would be your most likely candidate. Maybe try giving them a call to see if they're stocking 'Clix again. If that doesn't pan out, you're probably looking at a drive to Las Cruces.

The link you listed ACTUALLY does Heroclix on a Saturday. I think I may keep my clix after all
