Let the discussions flow. Likes, dislikes, classic film or overhyped trash, and DONT FORGET to place an Overall Rating when youre done.
Its easy, just give a Rating from 1 (Jaws 4:The Revenge) to 10 (Jaws), and thats it. Course I'd love to have you all give reasons as to why you feel it deserves this Overall Rating, and more than encourage discussions with us all about them.
So, what say you all?
Next Film: ??????
I saw this in the theatres...... and to this day I'm still amazed by it. I enjoy what this movie was trying to do.
And since I've been playing video/pc games since pong and the 2600 and I've lost many many hours with the Intellivision, Bards Tale, C64, Ultima games, and other stuff up to Baldurs Gate II this is a really really neat movie.
9. I expect some people won't get it but that's fine. I was thinking of this movie the other day.... I may have to drive intown to the artsy-fartsy rental place to rent this high-brow flick.
I never seen this one, not sure if Ive even heard about it. Whats it about?

I was really dizzy when I walked out of the theatre after watching this movie.
It really gets into your head.
One big flaw, though: You can't really watch it more than once, or at least not have the same effect (I bought the dvd, but I think I never watched it).
8.5/10

First, it's spelled eXistenZ.
Doesn't really matter, but the movie makes a big point about it.
Here's the story:
Allegra Geller, a famous designer of computer games, has designed a new game by the name of eXistenZ. Played on a system that is linked directly to the nervous system the game allows the player to experience a new existence.
When enemies of Geller's inventions try to assassinate her she has to flee with her "bodyguard" Ted. The two get drawn deeper and deeper into the game, fleeing from the persecutors, trying to solve the game.

David Cronenberg's true comback film (as opposed to the also entertaining and well recognized History of Violence). I loved this movie and I'm pretty happy to see a fairly obscure film on this list...obscure at least in comparison to the 68 other films.
eXintenZ is hard to follow if you are not ready. It is a classic "mind-f**k" film, if you will. If you're a gamer and/or sci-fi geek like me, you will certainly appreciate this movie.
Besides, JJL's bio-port is really sexy. :speechles
Rating: 8.5
ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww......
JJL's bioport.
the Gas encounter was interesting.......
"There are things that have to be said to advance the plot and establish the characters, and those things get said whether you want to say them or not. Don't fight it. Just avoid it. "

8.5/10 (not really original apparently :p), I'm a Cronenberg fan (even if there are many of his movies I haven't watched yet), and lots of the scenes in that movie reminded me Videodrome, which is one of my cult movies, so I just loved it.

What a waste this was. This was a 30 minute Twilight Episode short story stretched out to movie length, and I completely guessed where the ending headed right from the start. Also nothing like an "entertainment" game going on, who would design a videogame like this. A total 1.5
