lalang ako magawa. i was thinking of starting a thread about strategy nating mga pinoy sa paglalaro ng heroclix. kasi, no offense sa ibang bansa, parang ang papangit nung strategies nila sa strategy forum (syempre hindi naman lahat). lahat tayo may kanya kanyang strategy di ba? i encourage you to post it here para makatulong tayo sa mga newbies and at the same time makakuha rin ng ibat ibang ideas sa pag lalaro. (hindi puro emerald empress + nova blast nalang gagamitin natin para manalo...teka ako yun a!)

simulan ko na...

and speaking of emerald empress+noveblast (or T.E.E.N.), may naisip akong counter strategy dito. pero vulnerable naman sa ibang tactics, lahat naman ganun ei di ba?

ang panlaban sa ganun sakaling ginamitan ka ng ordinary day (poor teamwork kasi kalaban ng TEEN ei). gumamit ka ng Avengers+wildcards+T-bolts+pogs (liam harper). T-bolts mo yung avegers to suicide squad and then ilapit mo lahat ng wildcards/avengers and pog/s. lahat dapat sila adjacent sa pog.

tapos pag nag nova blast yung kalaban, mamamatay yung pog then instant healing lahat ng adjacent. yun nga lang tsambahan sa roll ng dice, but at least assured ka na may 1 click of healing ka. (pag nkalusot pa ang power dampening field mo e assured ka na 2 cliks lang ang damage nya sa lahat, may fighting chance ka pang gantihan yung salarin!

p.s.: i believe legal move ang suicide squad after pulse wave kasi after ng attack sya nagtatake place and not during...judges?

Even though nakapagheal si black knight at hawkeye (through pogs, bad trip 1 click 1 click), the rest of my team was decimated :( ang masama pa e hindi sila namatay (yung mga 2ndary guys) para fully healed yung team ko haha so kahit na buhay hitters, you're left with no support (unless nga buong team mo ng avengers/wildcard). Tapos pinatay mo na lang sila gamit thor haha

Well, baka nga dahil high point game un, kaya marame pang ibang papatay sayo, so this strat might work sa lower point levels, mahrap lang nga ang mobility, since mga isa isang pog lang ang makakagalaw, at pwede ka ren i range na lang or something, but as i said, it could work :)

well, pulse wave kase ignores all powers, and team abilities (walang impervious, senses, 19 defense from sue storm /defend etc and the like), so you can imagine how powerful it is, kahit 1 damage lang nagagawa, kase the only thing that could save you is a bad dice roll.

ung one weakness nya na un (1 damage), e natangal with nova blast, na nakakapag deal ng full damage (take two damage ka nga lang)

so, most probably, by the 2nd turn, hindi ka pag nakakapag spread out, or if naka pagspread out ka, may mga nakakumpol pa rin na figs, siguro ung may main hitter, or most supports etc, then i nonovablast ka, so by your 2nd turn, take 4 na lahat ng figs mo :) rendering most of them useless.

plus, novablast empress + cheapest tker now (42) is only 154 points! how cost effective, kaya malaki pa room for "other hitters" na magcleclean up after novablast, or more room para palakasin pa si empress (perplex attack and range, prob).

yup, 2 damage, as compared to the possible 4 damage to every figure sa opposing team, that's a good deal :)

well, yes, one time use lang sya, and that's a big IF you survive, but like i said, 154 points, lots of room to make sure na tatama yan :) and most likely sayo na nga yung 112 points (uumugin nyo si emerald after mag nova blast), pero ginawa na nya trabaho nya.

as for team building, wala naman talagang tama o mali, hndi rin naman kailangan ng reason, just as long as YOU want it :)

just some basic things to consider, e yung weakness ng particular figs.

Example, BA, overall napakalakas niya etc etc, pero one minor flaw is that maliit lang defense nya, and, one good hit, and most probably 150pt statue na sya dahil wala pang range. So work around that, medic ba? defend? 2ndary attackers that would distract your opponent? etc.

Batman, good stats, good TA. problem lang is mobility, so kelangan mo ba flyer? tker? isa pa, walang damage reducer, lagyan mo protected? Again, yung secondary attackers to help him out. Example, isang good RCEr, since big time outwitter si batman at attacker, kelangan mo ng taga tapos ng deal, outwit senses, es/d, touhgness o ano pa, tira batman, tira yung ranged mo, mga ganun...

Ghost rider, well all around, a great fig. wala ka ng mahihingi pa, good stats, good mobility, lahat na. So consider improving na lang, example, yung trans attack nya could use some help, perplex? prob? pag nag running shot naman, open sya to enemy fire, so kailangan mo ng Line of Sight (LOS) blocker? mga ganun. :)

the best way to learn pa ren, is to play :)

ahh yes i remember! you're right... siguro nga masyado mataas yung point build nung format kaya ang daming back-up. pero pag sa low point formats (400pts and below),gya ng sabi mu, it could work.:)

actually pwede ring pang counter dun ay "PALMD/LAMPD". may double time na si lockjaw. pwesto mo sa tabi ni empress then outwit pulsewave.:)

or have a pouncer/HHS fig padala mo (using tk) para upakan yung tk piece nya. (wont work sa high point games dahil kadalasan 2 ang tk nito,pero kung ganun,edi 2 din pouncer/HHS fig mo):)

sabagay in a 300pt game ilan perplex at prob ang malalagay mo? 1 or 2 lng lets say you have an average AV of 12 (kasama na ICWO at perplex) at isang prob, lets say tumama ka nga for 4 dmg at 9 to hit, tpos inananobots ka lng ni flash hehehe, tpos ang pangontra naman kay flash ay ung mga poison figures:knockedou kaya bawat tactic palagi may counter tactic! Tandaan nyo yan! So far ang pinakanakakaasar na figure labanan ay si Superman Vet ng Icons lalo na sa 400pt pataas na laban, imagine walang nasasayang kay supes isang banat cgurado may mamamatay sayo kung hinde man lupaypay ka agad:p saksakan mo lng ng fortitude si supes e parang pader na yan! 12 atk 18def tpos HSS at imperv pa! Mas kahindikhindik pa yan before the HSS nerf imagine mo move shoot at 10range na walang tago tago hehehe

pulse wave ignores all power and team abilities basta abot sa range. well 1 tactic to avoid being pulse waved is to divide your team para kahit papano malito un pulse waver sino attakihin.

double barrier technique is when you field in 2 figs that can make barriers, para every turn magbabarrier ka. this technique is usually used by defensive people, un mga mahihina ang balls hahaha kidding.

The best barrier team eh yung Brotherhood. Langya Avalance, Pyro tapos Magma. Masyadong mga cheap figures pero the best in terms of limitting the attack oppurtunities of your opponents. Mauubos yung actions mu kababasag ng wall nila and w/o you knowing na kinakarne kana ni Magneto.

Ok talaga Nova Blast pero you have to rely talaga sa dice roll but worth the risk naman. Si Clixboy ndi ko pa ata tinatamaan ng Nova Blast yan eh. Hehehe. 3 times na ata.

may defender, may flier, may attack lender...kumpleto. its the direct opposite of FF. and also favorite sets of characters ko kc spidey villains ei.

LA lng xa:laugh: cool figs to try it with.. V clayface with entagle, E hydroman, U spider-man (AW), Vet FIST!!(although nagamit ko na 2.. si spidey din so I'll go for other potential killers...), any pouncer.. RCE with trickshot(scarlet spider... I know wat your thinkin.. tanga ka b?! trick shot ke scarlet spider?!! hahahaha..)

ok.. so much for doggie poo... here's another one that i've used succesfully.. lam mo 2 mark.. theme pa xa.. V joker with Inspiring command, AP.. Man-bat with protected,, REV clayface with protected or entangle, R azrael with passenger.. kaya yan 300 and kung open feats yung CTX.. dat would be a force to reckon with... kaso limited yung mobility tlga.. 8 move lng highest mo e.. another cool trick would be to give azrael double time.. kung V joker ngdadala ng team mo.. 11 AV lahat.. try nyo sometime.. I believe nicky used a team like that.. I'm not saying I thought of this first.. on the contrary.. rip off lng to sa net.. hehehehe.. tactics lng yung sakin na orig;)

although again you could make your team smell like dog and mud by swapping man-bat with vet lockjaw(i'm guilty of this:noid: )

uh.. other stuff that all the new players should learn quickly is the BFC metagame.. promise.. complicated xa sobra.. advise lng.. Play BFC's well.. use them for appropriate teams.. ayan,,, me contribution nako:p

sure man.. pero maraming BFC's tlga and the powerful ones have their own uses.. yung metagame na sinasabi ko e ganito.. actually playing the BFC.. me kasama din bluffing dyan.. number of rounds minus one lagi ang number ng bfcs so me round na ndi ka gagamit.. you could bluff your opponent into thinking na gagamit ka ng BFC.. para lng mapilitan din xa gumamit or wat.. pero marami pang ibang stuff dito.. one of the rude things that you should never do is convince your opponent into not playing a BFC at all against him.. so wag mong gagawin yun.. kelan ka b lalaro striker? para makabenefit ka nmn sa mga strats..;) anyone can win as long as you knw how to play the game.. me dice factor din kasi..

me fave BFCs are.. armor wars, radiation leak and deep shadows..

armor wars= I dont use a lot of figs with damage reducers so armor wars takes away imperv, invul and toughness..
Rad leak= kick major butt these days kasi yung support me minus 2 na ngaun..so rad leak makes healing almost impossible!! hate medics e.. thoug with all the nanobotting these days.. ndi na xa ganun ka viable..
Deep shadows=for me is like poor team work too because it limits TK.. great for GL tank teams.. Ecchs is particularly fond of this.. si nicky din

assembled!!! theme team xiempre!! the best strategy to play with.. is the fun game strategy.. simple lng yan.. use your fave figs and try to make something work.. sarap laruin yang mga yan!!

BFCs depend on your team but more importantly on the type of teams your opponent is gonna bring.. bro I'll have to be honest with you.. kelangan mglaro ka tlga for this stuff to make sense..;) experience teaches you best.. pramis..:laugh:

oh yeah.. BA is restricted now so ang best option mo with him is R invisible girl sa clobberin time na set.. other good choices are E omac(E black adam lng), E hydroman or E shadowcat from sinister.. pero BA teams don't need the hig defense trust me.. hiding is the best defense for them so positioning tlga.. kc TK mo yang BA e to be effective.. so medyo mahirap kumarga kung TK ang strat mo.. Positioning is something better learned in the battlefield..:classic: hope this helps!!

R Crimson Dynamo is looking pretty good :) with entangle, or protected. Grabe kase, for 55 pts, you get 8 clicks, with the first four clicks having great damage values, kung may medic pa, grabe hrap to patayin. pwede ren yng vet, 5 damage with a 17 d invul

V Wild Child, 19 defense from close combat, may blades pa :)

thur, depende kung ano mauuna, since una ka nag pounce, dun palang sa akto ng pag pounce na may vendeta ay may plus 2 ka na sa attack...pagdating mo sa tabi ni iron fist tapos ginamit mo yung sindcat ability, mabubura yung +2.

sure man.. pero maraming BFC's tlga and the powerful ones have their own uses.. yung metagame na sinasabi ko e ganito.. actually playing the BFC.. me kasama din bluffing dyan.. number of rounds minus one lagi ang number ng bfcs so me round na ndi ka gagamit.. you could bluff your opponent into thinking na gagamit ka ng BFC.. para lng mapilitan din xa gumamit or wat.. pero marami pang ibang stuff dito.. one of the rude things that you should never do is convince your opponent into not playing a BFC at all against him.. so wag mong gagawin yun.. kelan ka b lalaro striker? para makabenefit ka nmn sa mga strats..;) anyone can win as long as you knw how to play the game.. me dice factor din kasi..

me fave BFCs are.. armor wars, radiation leak and deep shadows..

BFCs depend on your team but more importantly on the type of teams your opponent is gonna bring.. bro I'll have to be honest with you.. kelangan mglaro ka tlga for this stuff to make sense..;) experience teaches you best.. pramis..:laugh:

oh yeah.. BA is restricted now so ang best option mo with him is R invisible girl sa clobberin time na set.. other good choices are E omac(E black adam lng), E hydroman or E shadowcat from sinister.. pero BA teams don't need the hig defense trust me.. hiding is the best defense for them so positioning tlga.. kc TK mo yang BA e to be effective.. so medyo mahirap kumarga kung TK ang strat mo.. Positioning is something better learned in the battlefield..:classic: hope this helps!!

He has to be paired with a TK'er (because of his battle fury on starting click). Make sure he also has auto regen (to make full use of his 3 regen clicks). Obviously rush him in for melee combat, where he can make use of his bcf, flurry, combat reflexes and exploit weakness.
also, it wouldn't hurt to perplex or ICWO his values first, because his speed and attack values are quite low in the middle clicks.

try full xmen team (from danger room starter) and add wolverine, shadowcat and multiple man to the mix. great theme fun! :)

hehe, actually ginamit na sa akin ni arthur sakin last saturday. kinain ako ng 14 AV ni spidey paired with V iron fist. hehe.

i guess the only issue is yung pounce addition. when do you add the attack value modifier? at the start of the pounce action, or at the time you roll for attack? i see knyt's point. if the +1 is added at the start of the power action, baka matabunan ng replacement value ni iron fist.

If the rule is: TA first before the feat card, will it still apply if the TA is not yet available at the beginning of the action (i.e. hindi pa magkatabi si iron fist at si spidey to share AV)?

nevertheless, great stategy. as i learned the hard way. hehe. :)

Haven't tried the other teams yet, but as for the ones I've used...

JLA has a lot of figures to choose from for a 300 point team. I'd use a Wonder Woman V or E from Icons. Batman E from Legacy has Prob Control on the first click and is strong as well. The JLA figs I use the most are Wonder Woman from Icons, G Lantern E from CD, R Elongated Man for Prob Control, and Huntress V.

Teen Titans, IMO is like the X-Men only with higher point costs. (judging from the figures I've seen at least). The TA has the same power as the X-Men and they have a variety of figs with decent skills, but of course not as varied an assortment as the X-Men.

Batman Ally has a lot of good and cheap figs, and of course, a stealthed HSS fig in NGN Supes.

I'd like to try Calculator myself, with Emerald Empress, Dr Light, and some OMACS. (BTW, OMACS are generics, right???) But I need to get some more figs if I were to build a Calc team.

He would have a 14 attack. You would replace the attack value with the new one and then modify the attack value. So Spidey would pick up Iron Fist's attack value and then he would gain +2, one from Vendetta and one from Pounce.

for me, top teams sa dc in a 300pt format would be batman enemy, titans, jla, batman ally and jsa...pero kung tutuusin, almost all factions ng DC or Marvel, e playeable sa 300pt format.

batman enemy = arguably the best team in 300pts format(IMHO).their weakness (supposedly) the lack of fliers.overlooking that, the whole team comes with an assortment of powers.low cost perplexers and outwits, low point bruisers(3 lang ata figs nila na 100+yung cost), attack values that just won't quit and of course, the Joker.kung nasanay ka sa LAMP, kailangan mo mag adjust if you're playing the joker in a pure team faction format.it has been stated that the team is sorely lacking in the flight department, but that doesn't mean that the Joker's poison combo won't work.you don't even have to have two man-bats (ht and starter) in your team.make proper use of the joker's stealth.di naman 0 movement nun.di sya kailangan lagi kinakarga.all the joker really needs is mastermind fodder.kailangan lang may katabi lage.all it takes is patience.i'm not saying you should stall or anything pero timing is the key.lalo na ngayon.2 of the 3 current maps ay pabor sa BE(aw and sinister).take advantage of it.also, it would really help if you play proper bfcs (darkness, d.shadows)but then again, no bfcs tayo sa ctx...:(

Actually, the dice is only a part of the game...not the game itself. Never blame the dice for losing a game. Your strategy is the bigger part of how to win a tourney. It is safe to assume that an average dice roll will be 4-5. A 6 would be a gamble (for me)...so how do we combat this??
1.) Invest in a cheap perplexer fig (perplexers/icwo) to "Lower" the Defense value of an opposing character (the deadlier one with the high defense). That way all your figs who will attack the opposing figure will have a higher chance of hitting it...Don't make the mistake of simply perplexing "up" the attack of just one of your attackers for once you miss...the opposing characters defense will still be so high.
2.) Always Attack the opposing character with your fig that has the highest attack value and follow thru with the figs with the lesser AV
3.) Have at least one(1) Probability Controller Ready for obvious purposes.
4.) If all else fail...Use your other hand to Roll the Dice.
5.) Learn from your mistakes and keep playin' with different players (hence, the different venues around manila if you can)...you'll see,learn, and develop a lot of strategies just by playin' competitive heroclix games.

I used R thunderball nung AW marquee, malakas sya dun, but siguro dahil lang din walang may tker, armor piercing + speedster at wala masyado outwitter kaya nakakabanat tlga sya :) Yung only loss ko (siguro alam nyo na kung kanino ako natalo, lage nya inaannounce e haha), nagkamali ako ng gamit sa kanya. Big advantage nya against other brick e may range sya, at natural 4 damage pa. Stupid ko chinarge ko si Wendigo, instead of using range, tapos ayun nagmintis, kinuyog tuloy :|

I've yet to try him out sa constructed, pero mukang ok pa rin naman, any guy worth 72 points, has charge and 4 damage (possible 6), with a standard attack sa buong dial is worth using, isa nato sa best "brick" para sakin, kase kasya sa swarm tpos di naman kelangn lagyan ng feat. Yung mid-dial quake pa e useful, kase 8 attack pa naman kaht papano. Eto ung type of fig na tatapon mo sa kabilang team at alam mong di na babalik :) kase charge for 6 to a fig, tapos kukuyugin sya, pag nagsurvive, push to quake haha

Ok, this has been bugging me for some time, can anyone give any strategies on how to use Magneto from Armor wars? A while back i tried using him, but it didn't work out so well. (not a single strategy i thought would work worked. I tried using him with Magma (ranged attack with mags then barrier from magma) Holding back doesn't work either. I think the high point value also makes it difficult to weild in a team.

yep.. this is an ULT thor build... this is the same way you would use an ult THOR in 300 pts constructed.. I like theme teams better so losing anti-stealth is worth it for me to me make the team themeatic..:devious:

every strat has a counter strat and this is a tentpole/ double barrier team..
I have yet to see an "unstoppable" 300pt team..(with the possible exception of the nebula and dogs team as pointed out by marco.. pero lumang luma na 2...)

and Lazarus pit 20 pts total of 282,

I used this against my cousin but when he killed bastion, kahit Lazarus pit, he just mowed through the troopers while i revived bastion. Any way to fix this?

movement was a problem for me before (i think i solved it, pero only when playing against some cousins of mine) i focused more on theme than that VERY IMPORTANT ASPECT.

I prefer her 2nd click 'cause of supersonic but running shot is pretty good too. Try using Astral Plane BFC it might help, in movement only though...you'll have to ask more experience players for other feats, limited kc yung feats na meron ako...:ermm:

...yup, 1 damage each for EE, but don't forget to use EE on 2 targets (if your fig has that capability of 2 targets) for additional splash damage on EE.
...and perplexing your opponents defense down will be retained even after it being damaged. So Xtriker is correct in his example.

...about your aurora exp: Go for the LE jean marie, she has 3 damage and has hss on the first dial na. If you can't have the LE use an Experienced Sinister Photon, which is just 10points higher in cost (76) but with 8 range and senses with rce's on the next few dials after hss(much more useful). The Aurora exp kasi needs to be pushed pa - and a lot can happen before she does get to her hypersonic goodness(like getting hit way past her hss click or worse:even get knocked out)...However, if you attach a T-bolt feat on her she might be able to use the Xmen TA to "transfer"(thru exchange of clicks) 1 life to another Xman fig whos injured na for an instant hss activation of that exp. aurora....or go for the rookie version nlang for instant hss on the first dial.
...popular feats attached to that aurora of yours or any "cheap" hss fig would always be: Armor Piercing, Nanobots and Protected (besides the T-bolts feat if that fig is an avenger).

Clayface E high def may shape change pa so two rolls na to avoid an attack kung tatama sa high def, tas 3 damage with SS potential 4 damage well ok lang un AV niya pero he has Bat Enemy to take care of that, so itabi mo ngayon si joker E para tumaas AV ni Clayface and for poison.:laugh:

I agree with Arthur, Clayface E is the best candidate for entangle as far as I know. Plus, the sculpt just looks effin' awesome!

With stealth the MASTERMIND is unOutwittable and with Joker's own outwit the HSS guys can't leave without his permission. Since in the Philippine scenario, DUPES is not the standard. You would see Joker with other partners e.g. Chesire, etc

- You can try to fit all the support powers: TK, Outwit, Perplex, Prob, Support. But you'll end up having too little firepower.
- You can try to run a centerpiece fig but you may be overwhelmed. So try swarm.
- You cay try swarm tactics, but you may lack synergy. So try wildcard abuse.
- You can try wildcard abuse but there is disbanded. And Nova Blast.
- You cay try Nova Blast but there is Poor Teamwork, and most probably it'll be wasted against Nanobots. So try HSS teams.
- You can try HSS teams but there is IIF. And with a low damage you'll have difficulties vs high point figs. So try centerpiece fig teams.

So basically you're left with 2 things. Board strategy and dice rolls. Yes, DICE ROLLS. I like this format! :D

- what team you are used to using, it doesn't matter if it fits the meta or not as long as you are comfortable using it :)

- synergy, swarm, big gun, many factors affect the outcome of your team, bfcs play a huge part as well once you get nerfed by a certain bfc try going around it.

- best suggestion is to go with what you feel is good, comfy for you and most of all something you are familiar with, even the best made teams lose because the player himself/herself is not used to such play style.

- strategy is also a key factor in your game, knowledge of your figs and your opponents, chosing your map of advantage and placement of your key figures is essential

- It is given that the dice is the most important aspect of the game, hit or miss usually decides everything :laugh: this IMHO is the most unpredictable factor in the game, which makes it fun and interesting :laugh:

you can still use brilliant tactician normally, like perplexing a single fig without same team symbol or opposing fig to reduce stats. You just have to choose either to use perplex normally or as a use of brilliant tactician.

Outwit is just a requirement for Thwart so yes you can Thwart as a Power action then Outwit using the same character (Unlike Dissent which simply allows a character with Outwit to Outwit Team abilities).

Im sorry but thwart doesnt work that way, thwart requires a power action AND USES your outwit to use. So if you thwart a card you cannot outwit. Plus hinde din pede ung gagalaw ka or itataxi ka tpos thwart, because thwart is not a free action but a power action.

someone help me out?I think the best way to use Hulk is pair him up with a damage sponge that can base the opponent (say, Lockjaw) and have Hulk pulverize that target from 2 squares away (giant ability). Lockjaw can use sidekick pa. The rest of the team is up to you.

The first OMAC was literally one guy and totally different from the blue Despero-lookalikes. The current OMACs were like ripoffs from the human-sized Sentinels that Bastion deployed in Zero Tolerance.

Well, the Avengers need the ATA because nearly all of them don't have their own TA's whereas the League has a few (Superman, Batman, Green Lantern). The true testament to the power of the DC Big League is that the Marvel's Avengers can't help but "ape" the best Team abilities from the "other side" with Thunderbolts (the aforementioned named team abilites as well as Mystics and Superman Enemy) :)

1.)xtriker and samuraigrifter are right; Perplex ends at the end of the turn you use it; ICWO specifically states the effect ends until your next turn. You can still Perplex up a friendly character's defense but it ends at the beginning of your opponents turn so its pretty pointless; by the same token you can Perplex an opposing characer's Defense down, which is actually better than perplexing a character's Attack up since the -1 will benefit all your attackers instead of just one, it's useless to drop enemy Attack, move, range or damage.

2.)Not so sure about this one, although it does make sense that a character with more than one target should be able to target a wall and opposing character/s.

Any tourney IDEAS for the FFF tourney??

NO! Kc Flash does not qualify as a tourney IDEA. YES, those who have the RED MENACE will probably use them. But for this discussion we will assume it as a GIVEN.

There are two schools of thought for the tourney. FIRST, bring your BIG GUN(similar to the KC flash idea). Bring a hitter. The BEST u can find, anything you can find sa BOOSTER is a Bonus. May Question R, Great. May Supergirl R Good. Other wise i'll live with drawing Halo, Knockout, etc.

The other way is to load up your constructed with "utility" figures. Blink R, Domino R, Protected, ICWO, Fortitude. So you can DRESS UP(with Feats) OR provide with ample UTILITY, whatever you draw.

well for me try bringing someone close to the 100 pt mark as a heavy hitter like shzam rookie or hawkeye basically you can't rely on that booster..

bring a 200 pt team that would help out..don't bring perplex..origins has a lot of it..

then bring feats that are very flexible in terms of utility like protected..

this format automatically removes almost all superman fig from play so prepare for the RED Menace

Some things to take note of:
1. There are NO figs with TK in the set.
2. If i remember correctly, Supergirl E has the longest swing at 15.
(*swing = total distance for the fig to be able to attack; 5 RS + 10 range)
E valor next at 13 (5 RS + 8 range).
3. A number of JSA figs. ALso, a lot of TA's ranging from JLA, batman, bat enemy, wildcard, JSA, outsiders, CSA, etc.
4. Set has a wide distribution of abilities. range to close combat to hypersonic, low to high av, low to high def, presence of a number of powers except TK, even the point cost distribution of figs is scattered meaning, common slot figs can be both cheap and expensive same with uncommon and rare slot figs. Although rare slot figs are primarily expensive(esp the vets) i think the uniques somewhat balance the point cost distribution.

This set has a number of perplex figs but you must first draw these figs. one could probably get one or two. :classic:

As for Dawg's two schools of thought, i'd have to agree with him. But i do think if there is one ability that is going to be very crucial in this tourny, it would have to be TK. given that the longest swing in the set is supergirl E at 15, she costs 192 and that is 8 pts shy of the 200pt requirement. Adding a Tk fig could increase your swing and opportunities to hit first and chase figs. :classic:
Another thing that i think most people might overlook is that this is a 400pt tourney. 200 points of your army would at most be 5 figs (pog). This could force some players to field in a small army (E.G. Patrick's sample army). Of course there are advantages and disadvantages to having small and big armies but do expcet more small-armies. :speechles
I do think that a good team for this tournament is an army wherein your 200pt constructed would complement your 200pt booster and vice versa. IMO, patrick's constructed complements V supergirl but not vice versa. If patrick's constructed army had a number of TA's to complement supergirl, and if supergirl could provide a big target to allow his other figs to sneak in their attacks, then i think that would be a good army.

And yeah i have to agree with you walang TK yung set na 'to. It's expected that we'd see teams that take advantage of KC flash or any HSS fig that'd fit into 200 pts. But the 200 pts left which most likely will come from the booster we'll get kinda limits options as well (Thank god for the luck factor)

So it looks like we'll have to squeeze a tk fig into our 200 alloted points for constructed if we intend to have any TK support.

Three teams to look out for sa FFF event (para sa 200 points constructed):

1) LAMP team - like it or not, marami gagamit nito. hindi ako magtataka kung majority ng players baka ito ang build. eto pa yung sampol team na pinost ni Pat. napaka-efficent kasi, you don't even have to roll the dice, dikit mo lang makaka-damage na! Tamang-tama sa mga "da bes" sa dice rolls. hehehe....

2) Nova Blasters - pwedeng pansagot sa LAMP teams. maunahan mo lang si Joker, ayos na buto-buto.......(syempre idamay mo na din dapat yung ibang kasama niya para sulit)

3) HSS - Quicksilver, Flash, Nightcrawler, Speed Demon, Meanstreak, Prof. Zoom, Johnny Quick + AP + Swingline + Nano + Prot + bahala ka na sa iba pang recado + TK'er, solb! or fliers like R Shazam, Aurora, Northstar, Photon (sino pa ba?). Dagdagan mo pa ng perplexers, tatakbo na!! sama mo na rin siguro dito mga transporters who can dish out damage using their transporter attack.

KC Flash actually pwede rin. wala ka nga lang TK pero pwede pa ring ipilit. kung aabot sya ng close to 200 points, ang gagawin lang ng lalaro nito ay ma-protektahan si Flash (hindi ma-KO) habang inuubos unti-unti yung tao mo. maka-KO lang sya ng lampas sa build ni Flash + some figs na natira sa kanya, takbo na!!! hehehehe.............

unless meron kang fig/figs na magpapa-KO kay Flash (LAMP *wink*), unahin mo na lang yung mga ibang figs dahil mauubos lang oras mo sa kakahabol. At the most 2 or 3 damage lang ang pwede nyang gawin. kung may perplexers yung team, pwede mong alisin muna mga perplex nila (or tuluyan mo na rin). Remember, kung nag-iisang fig lang si KC Flash sa 200pts construct nya, hindi sya pwedeng maglagay ng ICWO, so be aware.

Someone packing the Damage Control BFC could wreck the day of Mach-3. It isn't unlikely too, since some people might want to prevent Nanobotting and Shazam swinging with Meteorites and Generators. But I imagine he'll only be 1/4 of the team anyway, so if the rest of his team is pretty solid, the Burger player can still continue unfazed.

feeling ko gagana pa rin yung combo kahit na me damage control kasi sa start lng nmn mawawala mga object db? sooo.. pag nag rip-it-up ka u still get an object evem though me damage control? uh.. hehehhe.. ndi ko alam.. if ever pede pa rin then yung E Mach #ewan e aus gamitin..

So if that's the case, objects can't be brought in through Rip It Up. Well. I'm not a hundred percent sure. :rolleyes: Which takes precedence, the conditions of the BFCs or the Feats? Judges, any thoughts?

ALTHOUGH, i love this combo. REALLY difficult to pull sa FFF. Damage COntrol really screws it up. You know that, you did it to my Mach 3 combo already.

PLUS, expensive sya. 77 points yung fig AND 80 PTS of feat. SO, medyo malabo. BUT might try it tomorrow sa ATC.

AS much as DAMCon screws Rip-it-Up, its real intent is to KNOCK OFF nanobots. How many guys play rip it up?? NOW, how many guys play Nanobots?? HE HE HE

tnx gian... so damage control really neuters nanobots kahit anong mangyari.. dami pang ibang strategies jan.. baka masurprise kau sa outcome ng FFF.. hopefully enough people are scared of LAMP to bring enough anti-lamp to make it interesting.. hehehe.. probably a novablaster with POOR teamwork... dnt forget the single target pulsewave attack.. solid din yan.. pede pa iperplex ang damage.. si javey una ngpakita sakin
nun at sobrang sakit i have nightmares about it... yung double empress nya na me 3 ba o 2 con artist? basta solid.. but times have changed and the b!tches are no more... so PW+perplex? kaya b sa 200 pts? mehbeh..
