View Full Version : Boneheaded Moves!
Okay, folks... tiem to post your favorite boneheaded moves that you've made this season (only your own... no need to start insulting others).
Me: Turn 9, JLElite vs Society. Having Bones run away isntead of charging into adjacenty to two pushed figures on their last legs. Argh.
My first 7 turns in our Battle Royale. Considering I'm sharing an 11 attack with 5 other guys that are capable of really putting some pain on, it should not have gone down like it has. Biggest boneheaded move at the moment has been to take Joker and Azrael out of the game like I have.

well this is preseason so it doesn't matter but,..... in Minions V WCA
I walked an untouched Tigra next to Nighthawk with one token and holding a heavy object and Whizzer with no tokens,...
the mistake was I forgot that Nighthawk had willpower and that both he and Whizzer shared attack values,... lets say Tigra was never heard from again :)

Not checking my own LOF for TK, tk two seperate people to the same spot which was illegal, forced a re-start.
Sorry Peers :(
*grumblelosttwoSAstwoKOsandaASTgrumble* No problem. Just gives me more turn to kick your butt in. *grumblehadthenextfourturnsplannedoutgrumble*
At least it's just the preseason. :)
In my first game I dropped Judge Mortis in a slot in front of what I thought was an Elongated Man with a Token on him, that I could slash up next turn (or have him push to breakaway).
Instead, E-man had no tokens on him, was able to Leap/Climb and wasn't even adjacent to Mortis where I placed him in the first place. The end result was that I left bmy Ghost Widow exposed for no good reason, my opponent capitalised and I had a shambling zombie with no range or useful movement in the middle of nowhere.
(It didn't go well after that).
Lesson: TRIPLE check you map positions before you submit a move.

yeah that was bad, Ghost Widow needs to be protected 24/7
but heres another one,... for the second game in a roll,... my FAVORITE 19pt 18 defense (16CR) fig is placed next to a flier,... umm they shot her. :disappoin pretty easy since the CR doesn't kick in with range attacks,...
Got another one!
Pushing Coldcast to shoot and KO Atom Smasher will reult in his own KOing. So, I figure Atom Smasher has no choice but to push and attack me, which'll KO him.
I forget that Atom Smasher has willpower on his last click. I die, he doesn't, I go, "WTF??? .... oh."
Not like it woulda saved me the game, but it woulda been one more stat...oh, well.
I seem to be the only one posting to this thread every round. That's a bad sign...
Note to self: In the future, when given a choice between between one 44-point figure dying and two 80+ point figures dying to save it? Let the girl die. Especially if there's a bigger target than the one threatening her.
Argh.

I know I've made some as well but I just haven't gone back to beat myself up over them. lol

Not realizing that grounded barriers don't protect me when I and my opponent are on rooftops.
Keeping figures next to one another when a flyer/poisoner is playing against you. It only leads to multiple occurances of pain.
Also.
hiding when you should be attacking only puts off the inevitable volley of evil.
