I have a question regarding the map. Is the large building indoor or elevated terrain? There doesn't seem to be any doors or other ways to gain access, so I'd assume it's the roof, which is then only accesable by what I think is one flight of stairs by the corner. Would that be correct?

In fact, I am sure *some* of you" Sinister's gaze falls on Riptide "Would greatly enjoy the chance of a rematch against this X-team, no? The host body of your former field-leader is there as well. With Malice out of the picture for now, I have no need for her at this moment, but try not to inflict too grievous harm upon her genetic structure... yet!"

Sinister gestures towards the building

"You have your orders, my Marauders, do NOT disappoint me!"

1) "You heard the boss, follow me and take the high ground" Scalphunter unhooks his rifle as he runs to (starting position:B-16) G-15

free) "I head him Scalp, he's standing right there!" Vertigo, greatly inspired by Sinister's presence perplexes her own movement up to 7.

2) "Right behind you Scalp" Vertigo runs to C-17 (starting in B-17)

3) "Do NOT forget, you are being watched, DIRECTLY" Mr. Sinister climbs the ladder to D-18 (starting position: B-15)

Riptide spins a little on the spot, warming up.

Mr. Sinister uses some positive reinforcement and inspirational leadership to inspire Scalphunter, perplexing his attack up to 12.

free) "Let's see how fast quick-step there is when HE's the one standing still while the world is a blur" Vertigo laughs as she lets loose on Quicksilver. Vertigo perplexes Scalphunter's attack up to 13.

1) "You heard the boss-man speed-freak, now let's see if you bleed as fast as you run!" Scalphunter sprints to K-14, bringing up his rifle for a running shot on Quicksilver. 13 atk vs. 17 def, needs a 4. Roll is: (6,6) a Critical hit! Super-senses roll for Quicksilver is: 6 he dodges!

free) Astonished by Quicksilver's amazing reactions Scalphunter quickly recovers, firing another more vicious burst at the roof beneath Pietro's feet, knocking him to the ground as he looses his footing "Real slick there boy, but let's see how fast you can run without something to stand on!"
Scalphunter outwits Quicksilver's hyper-sonic speed.

My bad, I accidently had Quicksilver placed at P-14 instead of P-13, which made both my attack and the outwitting rather impossible. However, in order to keep this game moving, I'll just assume that Scalphunter needs new glasses, and just blasted the hell out of a roof-top ventilator instead :)

The Marauders, Turn 5

1) "Who's stupid idea was it to put this building here in the first place, I can't see a thing from this damned roof!" Vertigo curses as she runs forward to M-13

free) "Put up some cover Vertigo, I need some time for a few modifications" Scalphunter barks, "Sure thing Scalp', one major distraction coming right up!" Vertigo blankets the area with her mutant powers, giving Scalphunter time to fix an advanced Scope to his rifle. Vertigo perplexes Scalphunter's range up to 7.

free) "Do NOT fail me Scalphunter, your bullets will fly true, or you shall taste my displeasure!" Mr. Sinister continues with his encouraging style of leadership, perplexing Scalphunter's damage up to 4

2) "Time to play X-rejects!" Scalphunter yells out as he leaps unto the edge of the roof, spraying a veritable rain of bullets in all directions. Scalphunter makes a running shot to P-11, targetting Quicksilver, Polaris (range perplexed) and Multiple Man #2. 11 atk vs. 17, 17 and 16. Needs a 6 for everyone, 5 for Madrox. Roll is: (3,3) a six for the hit! Super-senses roll for Quicksilver is 6, he dodges! (too bad for Polaris...) Scalphunter will deal all 4 damage to Polaris, knocking her back to X-16 and into the edge of the map for 1 additional damage and the KO! 1 SA and 1 KO for Scalphunter, 1 AST for Sinister, 1 AST for Vertigo. Scalphunter takes one from the push.

Quicksilver hurls himself to the side, courtesy of his super-human reflexes, Polaris calmly watches the rain of bullets speeding towards her. She raises her hand and waves dismissingly, expecting the bullets to scatter like harmless leaves through her mastery of magnetism. However, the bullets continue unaffected by her powers, punching through the shocked mutant as the force of the impact slams her against a nearby wall, merciful unconciousness sparing her further pain. "Plastic bullets you traitorous #####" Scalphunter grins as he spits on the ground.

3) "Excellent work Scalphunter, first blood has been shed, and mayhap Malice shall have her host body back soon" Sinister smirks as he moves to N-14

free) "Just so you don't think I've forgotten about you quick-step, here's something to keep you busy!" Scalphunter fires a a hail of explosive rounds at the roof beneath Quicksilver's feet, knocking him off balance and taking away his footing. "Let's see how fast you run with nothing to stand on!" Scalphunter outwits Quicksilver's hyper-sonic speed. 1 DFD for Scalphunter.

2) "Like shooting fish in a barrel!" Scalphunter laughs, split up all you like Madrox, more of you just means more targets for me!" Scalphunter opens fire on all 3 Multiple Men. 10 atk vs. 16 def, needs a 6. Roll is: (2,3) a 4 and a miss. Scalphunter curses as all the Multiple Men dives for cover and avoids his lethal barrage.

free) "You are delusional if you believe yourself capable of harming me, Pietro, not worthy of your great birthright. Look into my eyes, and know despair!" Sinister catches Pietro's eyes with his hypnotic gaze, slowing him down and leaving him open. Mr. Sinister perplexes his own attack up to 10.

By a lucky twist of fate, Sinister slips on a loose tile, missing Pietro by a hair.

"Impressive Pietro, you actually managed to hurt me" Sinister remarks, "But enough of this, Scalphunter, dispose of him!"

free) "You heard Sinister, give me some cover while I take care of the Speed-freak" "Anything for you Scalp'" Vertigo smiles as she knocks Pietro off-balance again with her powers. Vertigo perplexes Scalphunter's attack up to 11.

1) "Nothing personal Quicksilver, but you know what they say: Dodge me once, shame on you, dodge me twice, shame on me!" Scalphunter leaps back to M-12 opening fire on Quicksilver. 11 atk vs. 16 def, needs a 5. Roll is: (6,5) 11 for the hit. Quicksilver's super-senses roll is: 4, a failure! Quicksilver takes 3, one SA for Scalp'.

2) "That was a fluke! A fluke! NO ONE is fast enough to dodge me!" Riptide roars as he pushes himself to his limits, speeding up to tear Quicksilver apart in a hail of razor-sharp spikes and stars. Riptide flurries Quicksilver, 7 atk. vs. 14 def. Needs a 7, roll is: (6,3) a 9 and a hit. Quicksilver takes 1, 1 SA for Riptide, Riptide takes one from the push. Still got flurry so he swings again. 7 atk vs. 14 def, still needs a 7. Roll is: (6,4) a ten for another hit. Quicksilver takes 1 more, and 1 more SA for Riptide.

Fast as he is, Scalphunter finally manages to nail Pietro with several good shots, leaving the mutant avenger wounded and bleeding. Which is when the enraged Riptide sweeps in for the kill, tearing Quicksilver to the bone with his lethal projectiles. Remarkably, through sheer will, Quicksilver still stands. Bloody, but not beaten yet.

3) "You are defeated Pietro, I could dispose of you myself, but such actions are beneath Mr. Sinister. I see your grotesque friend is approaching though, I shall deal with him instead!" Mr. Sinister focuses his energy and unleashes a devastating mental blast at the approaching Strong Guy (whom Colossus represents, right?). 8 atk vs. 14 def, needs a 6. Roll is: (1,5) a six for the hit. Once again Domino tries to tinker with the odds, using her prob-control to force the re-roll. Second roll is: (2,2) a four and a miss. Again Sinister is foiled by Domino, who gains another DFD.

Vertigo sends sheets of psionic energy rolling down from the roof, catching two of the Multiple Men in the throes of her powers. Vertigo incaps Multiple Man#1 and #2. 10 atk vs. 16 (+1 from hindering) def, needs a 7. Roll is: (3,3) and a miss as they both manage to keep their heads together under the assault.

Sinister, Scalp' and Riptide clears while Riptide complains about his broken nose and jaw.

Melkhor, just wanted to let you know something re: your Turn 9

It didnt matter because riptide has multiple clicks of flurry, but Pushing damage is dealt at the end of the action (like how mikey used quicksilver).

So Let's say you have 2 clicks of flurry on someone, first click has AV of 8, second has attack value of 7. You have one token on your guy.

If you flurry, your first attack gets 8 AV, your second attack gets 8 AV, then you push. See?

Now, if you flurried a mystic it would go:

1st attack: 8 AV hits. Mystic damage
Still have flurry, so i make another attack (but now I'm at 7 AV): hits. Mystic damage.

I take another click but this knocks me onto willpower. I get my second token, but no push due to willpower. Anyway, just wanted to let you know for future matches. Might affect how you push.

I had him and Boomerang with my MOE last season. I really wanted to get them upgraded to their sinister syndicate versions so both could have 13 attack (especially boomerang).

alas, it's hard to level up with a 7 attack.

Still, 2 SAs and a Ko isn't bad in one game.

Sorry about the delay, had some computer trouble today, but everything should be in order now. Oh, and be sure to remember Mr. Sinister's Shape Change on any future attacks (not that it mattered this turn) :)

Marauders Turn 11

1) "Scalp! Get over here and give me a hand, the little bastards are digging in, come flush them out for me will ya?" Vertigo cries out. "Coming right up, I've got a bullet for every body you could possibly make Madrox!" Scalphunter leaps back to the edge of the roof, spraying the cars the Madri are covering behind with gunfire. Scalphunter makes a running shot to P-11, gunning for Multiple Man 1 and 2. 10 atk. vs. 16 (+1 for terrain). Need a 7. Roll is: (3,5) an 8 for the hit. Multiple Man #1 takes 2, Multiple Man #2 takes 1 (just to be difficult). 1 SA for Scalphunter.

Bullets rain down from the roof, turning the cars into burning wrecks as several shots connect with the covering Madri. Scalphunter's laughter ring out over the roar of his guns as the smell of cordite fills the air.

2) "Riptide! Move up and intercept the grosteque man-mountain as he approaches our position!" Sinister barks. "But boss, I can't stop him now Quicksilver broke my jaw and nose" Riptide complains. "What gave you the impression I was inquiring about your current health?" Sinister remarks with a cold gaze, convincing Riptide to limp to J-12 without further objections.

3) "Meanwhile, I shall prepare for his approach, outside the range of our little Lady of Misfortune hiding in the bushes over there". Sinister moves to N-13

Vertigo clears.

Marauders: Turn 13

Riptide limps towards the approaching Strong Guy, more afraid of Mr. Sinister than him. However, Strong Guy suddenly rushes forward in a burst of speed catching the injured Riptide flatfooted. With a deafening crunch he brings down the engine block he was carrying on top of the Marauders leaving him a crumbled and broken heap lying in a small crater on the roof-top.

free) "Hit 'em again Vertigo, I can't remember the last time I had this much fun!" Scalphunter roars with laughter as the two unfortunate Madri struggle helplessly under the influence of Vertigo. Vertigo perplexes Scalp's damage up to 4.

1) Laughing like a maniac, Scalphunter pours more lead into the car-wrecks, and the Madri, below. Scalphunter guns down Multiple Man 1 and 2. 10 atk. vs 15 (+1 from terrain) def. Needs a 6, roll is: (5,3) an 8 for the hit. Both Multiple Men takes 2, number 1 is KO'ed. 1 SA and 1 KO for Scalphunter, 1 AST for Vertigo.

2) Mr. Sinister sizes his enormous opponent up. "Impressive mr. Carosella, most impressive. But all your vast strength and stamina will not help you when you face Mr. Sinister!" Sinister frowns and unleashes a brutal mental assault at Strong Guy. 8 atk. vs 14, needs a 6. Roll is: (5,4) a hit. Strong Guy takes 2 penetrating damage, Sinister gains one SA.

Guido screams in pain as Sinister's cruel fingers toy with his mind, magnifying the intense agony that plagues Strong Guy's every moment to utterly unbearable degrees. As the Large mutant reels under the deadly mental onslaught, the only emotion visible on Sinister's face is a pitiless smile.

Vertigo delights in the carnage around her as she clears.

Marauders, Turn 14

1) "Your struggle is admirable, but the outcome inevitable. I am SINISTER, and you are nothing but dust beneath my heel!" Sinister sneers as he tightens his mental stranglehold on Guido. Mr. Sinister shoots Strong Guy with psychic blast. 8 atk vs. 13 def, needs a 5. Roll is: (2,1) for a 3 and a miss! Sinister takes one from the push as Gudio somehow manages to muster up enough willpower to force Sinister out of his head!

free) "Looks like the boss-man could use a hand there, give me some cover Vertigo!" "No need to ask twice Scalp'" Vertigo giggles with pleasure as she blankets the area with her power again, giving Scalphunter time to modify his guns. Vertigo perplexes Scalphunter's range up to 7.

free) "And now for a *special* gift for the big guy" Scalphunter grins menacingly as he loads a clip of DP-rounds. "These little beauties will punch a whole clean through a tank, let's see what they'll do to you!" Scalphunter outwits Strong Guy's toughness (chart confirms the LOF is good).

2) "Now watch this!" Scalphunter spins around, firing a burst at the recovering Strong Guy, while firing his second SMG back over his shoulder, in the general direction of Madrox. Scalphunter takes a shot at Strong Guy (range perplexed) and Multiple Man 2. 10 atk vs. 13 and 14 (+1 from terrain). Needs a 5 for both and a 3 for Guido. Roll is: (6,5) an 11 for a solid hit. Multiple Man takes 1 for the KO, Guido takes 2. 1 SA and 1 KO for Scalphunter who takes one from the push, 1 AST for Vertigo.

The depleted uranium bullets punch straight through Strong Guy, sending him reeling under the impact, yet, incredibly he remains standing. The Madrox dupe, however, is not so fortunate as it's torn apart by the bullets Scalphunter nonchalantly fired over his shoulder.

3) "You boys have been hugging all the fun of finishing these fools off for yourself for too long, I want one of them too!" Vertigo pouts as she darts across the roof, stopping just infront of the bleeding and reeling Strong Guy. "Hey there big boy, want to play?" She winks suggestively as she prepares to fire up her powers at point-blank range. Vertigo runs to J-12.

free) "Thanks Scalp'" Vertigo studies the scan and pushes herself to the limit to amp up her powers to her absolute max! Vertigo perplexes her own damage up to 2.

1) "Eat this freak!" Vertigo unleashes a tidal wave of psionic energy focused directly at Strong Guy, assaulting his inner-ear and balance nerve so violently that it actually causes physical damage. Vertigo shoots Strong Guy, 9 atk. vs 13. def, needs a 4. Roll is: (4,5) a 9 for the hit. Strong Guy takes 1 after toughness, 1 AST for Scalphunter, 1 SA and one damage from the push for Vertigo.
