Yeah, sorry about the confusion, the Mall it is.

Player 2, Turn 1:

"Right everyone, you have your orders, put down the flatscans in the goofy helmets, but don't put too many holes in the hottie in the pink outfit. Sinister said he wanted a "closer look" at her genetic structure, and you don't want to piss of Sinister, now do you?" Scalphunter commands with a menacing grin.

1) "Sabretooth, take point and see what scents you can pick up" Scalphunter barks, Creed replying with a growling snarl as he sneaks forward to P-7, hiding under a desk

2) "I have the flank" Harpoon whispers into his communicator, they shall not see me before my Slayspear is lodged in their backs!" He sprints forward to Q-16

3) "Gotcha, get ready everyone, but nobody spring the trap until I say so, ESPECIALLY you Sabretooth!" Scalphunter ghosts forward to Q-12, reading his rifle.

Scalphunter wouldn't have made Q12 because hindering terrain would have stopped him.

Sorry about that, I completely forgot to place that object on the map, which was what puzzled me.

Player 2, turn 2:

free) "Looks like the prey has come out to play" Scalphunter smiles, "let's not disappoint them then!" Scalphunter flicks a switch on his rifle and launches a gas grenade at Arwyn forcing her to hold back and take cover to avoid breathing in the noxious fumes. Scalphunter outwits Arwyn's willpower.

1) "Time to break some bones!" Blockbuster flexes his enourmous arms as he tears free a wall-safe and hoist it over his head (HO in V-8, advancing to O-9

2) "Quiet you idiot, we're supposed to be stealthy, remember?" Vertigo hisses as she follows to Q-7

hmmm....I think that Boon's stealth is blocking Scalphunter's line of fire to Arwyn for the outwit.

You're right, I must have had Boon one space over (guess I'm not as sharp as I like to think I am at 5 in the morning :) ). He definately blocks Scalp's LOF to Arwyn, so no outwit there, push away with her :)

Judge Anderson uses perplex to bump Dredd's attack to 10.

Dredd will RS to M7 and attempt to incapacitate Blockbuster. 10 vs. 16, rolls a 5 (1,4) miss.

Dredd uses a free action to outwit BB's Invuln.

Arwyn uses RS to move to N6 and shoot at BB. 8 vs. 16, rolls a double deuce for the miss. Nice!

Atom Eve: "Here...let me help you regroup."

Atom Eve uses barrier in N8, M9, L9, L10.

Player 2, turn 3:

1) "We've been made! Marauders, ATTACK!" Scalphunter barks out as he springs from cover, running to L-16.

free) "Main target in my sights" Scalphunter grins, "Let's see how she likes the present I've got for her" Squezing the trigger of his rifle, Scalphunter aims high, sending a sonic grenade sailing over Eve's barrier. With an unearthly scream the projectile detonates with her dead in the epicentrer, leaving her momentarily dazed and unable to maintain control of the shields she's raised, which promptly comes crashing down. Scalphunter outwits Atom Eve's barrier (LOF chart confirms the clear shot), removing it from the field.

free) "Hey Vertigo, I think the flatscan with the badge want my attention, zap him for me will ya? You know I hate it when they squirm too much" Blockbuster grins. "My absolute pleasure Blockbuster, he'll be ALL yours" Vertigo assails Dredd's senses with waves of disorienting nausea, leaving him an open target for Blockbuster. Vertigo perplexes Blockbuster's attack up to 9.

2) "You want a piece of Blockbuster copper? Well this must be your lucky day, 'cause your wish just got granted!" Blockbuster roars as he charges to N-8, bringing his wall-safe down on Dredd's head. 9 atk vs. 14 def, needs a 5. Roll is: (1,6) 7 for the hit. Dredd takes 3 +2 from the HO for a total of 5 and the KO! Blockbuster takes one from the push, HO destroyed (1 SA and KO for Blockbuster, 1 ASTfor Scalp if such things counted :) ).

The shock hitting like a localized earthquake, Blockbuster drives the temporarily distracted Dredd through the floor with a crushing blow from the safe, which breaks in half under the force of the impact. Looking down on the mangled and unconcious form of Dredd, Blockbuster smiles, very pleased with himself. Believing that nothing these puny flatscan can throw his way could possibly hurt him, he even lets his guard down somewhat (my clever way of explaining the pushing damage :) )

3) "You'd best safe some of them for me if ya know what's best for ya!" Sabretooth snarls as he leaps over Blockbuster's shoulder, landing in a crouch in the rubble where Dredd was flattened. Taking cover under the debris he spies the nearby, oblivious Arwyn. Licking his lips, Sabretooth prepares to pounce...
Sabretooth moves to M-7 hiding under the LO and the unconcious Dredd.

Vertigo clears.

That was foolish of me. More worried about you breaking through the barrier as opposed to shutting the darn thing off. Nicely done.

Hershey: "Dredd!!"

She runs to M6.

Anderson: "Well, well. Look at what we have here. Why don't you just lay down and take a nap big boy?"

Anderson will perplex her damage to 3 and attempt o assault Blockbuster psychically. 9 to a 17(I put the wrong defense on the die roll e-mail). She rolls a double 4, hitting the big man for 3. Only his massive bulk keeps him from tumbling backwards from the assault.

Boon will slide up behind the behemoth. He moves to N9.

"I can keep this up ALL day if I have to". Scalphunter fires a smoke-grenade at Eve, enveloping her in a choking, blinding cloud of inky blackness. "Let's see how well you focus those nasty powers of yours when you can't see!". Scalphunter outwits Eve's RCE.

1) "I swear by my ancestor's you do this on purpose! I go around to flank our prey, and you ALWAYS spring the ambush before I get into position!" Harpoon fumes as he runs to N-11, readying a Slayspear.

2) "Blockbuster you blundering beached whale, you're blocking my view!" Vertigo screams as she shuffles to P-8, trying to see past Blockbuster's massive frame.

3) "Scream for me birdy!" Sabretooth snarls as he pounces on Arwyn from the shadows, claws extended, murder and rage gleaming in his eyes. 9 atk vs. 15 def, needs a 6. Roll is: (3,2) a 5 and a miss! Sabretooth takes one from the push as Arwyn rolls aside at the last possible moment, Creed crashing to the ground hurting himself with a bad fall.

Arwyn will attempt to stab Sabretooth in the face. 8 on 14, she rolls a (3,4) 7 for a hit and one damage after toughness.

Judge Anderson: "My, but that is quite the big stick you carry around, isn't it? I bet you could knock that big lummocks down with it straight away, couldn't you."

She will perplex up Boon's attack to an 8.

Boon will attack Blockbuster, 8 to a 15. A critical strike! Blockbuster goes down in a heap.

Atom Eve: "Hey you, this is a private club. No psychos allowed."

Atom Eve will Barrier squares N10, M11, L12, K11.

Hershey and Anderson will rest.

1) "Heh, at least the kid tries hard" Scalphunter smirks, "Too bad it ain't gonna help her squat. But it does give me a chance to try out a new toy". Scalphunter backs up and takes a running shot to K-16, firing a rocket propelled charge at the barrier in K-11.

free) As the rocket blows through the wall, a psychic feedback from the shot tears through Atom Eve, leaving her dazed and shocked. Scalphunter outwits Eve's barrier, taking it down again.

2) As the walls crumble, Harpoon finds his target once more. "My thanks Scalphunter, soon Sinister shall have his prize!" With a cruel smile, he hurls a Slayspear at the dazed Eve. 9 atk. vs. 16 def, needs a 7. Roll is: (6,5) 11 for a convincing hit. Eve takes 1 +2 from RCE for 3 damage, Harpoon takes 1 from the push.

Still dazed from the feedback of Scalphunter's attack, Eve screams in pain as the glowing energy weapon pierces her side, setting every nerve in her body on fire from the electric shock.

Vertigo and Sabretooth rests.

Anderson perplexes her range to 7 and takes a shot at Vertigo. Needing a 5, whe rolls an 8 (3,5). The shot is true, but Vertigo saw it coming a mile away. (Super Senses)

Anderson: "Rats!"

Arwyn takes another "stab" at Sabretooth. 8 on 13, she rolls a 2,6 for another click of damage after toughness.

Arwyn: "Let's put this beast down."

Judge Hershey will attempt to Incap Sabretooth. 9 on a 12. She rolls a 1,3 barely hitting him.

Sabretooth is hit with a stun stick and falls to the ground in pain.

Boon and Eve rest this turn.

free) "Here you go girl, play with this. I'll be with you in a second." Scalphunter tosses a flash-bang grenade at the feet of Eve, stunning the young heroine, keeping her off balance and preventing her from concentrating. Scalphunter outwits Eve's barrier.

Sabretooth growls in fury, trying to shake off the effects of the stun stick as he slowly climbs back to his feet.

"Okay Marauders, switch targets! Harpoon, finish off the girl and that copper Vertigo was dancing with, I'll pull Sabretooth's ### out of the fire!" Scalphunter barks his commands as he swiftly reshapes his rocket-launcher into a compact SMG.

1) "As fun as it is watching you get your butt handed to you Creed, I guess I have to put an end to this" Scalphunter runs to M-11 firing a burst at Arwyn. 11 atk. vs 15 def, needs a 4. Roll is: (6,2) an 8 and a hit. Arwyn takes 3.

2) "It'll be a cold day in hell before I need your help with anything Scalp'" Sabretooth snarls back as he nevertheless takes full advantage of Scalphunter's shots, slashing at the reeling Arwyn with his claws. 6 atk. vs 13 def. needs a 7. Roll is: (2,2) a four and a miss. A furious Sabretooth hits nothing but air as Arwyn, even terribly wounded is too fast for him.

free) "Just in case you feel like trying to run and hide, don't bother, I've got your genetic structure locked in my targetter now" Scalphunter grins. Scalphunter outwits Arwyn's stealth.

3) "Harpoon hears, and obeys Scalphunter" The inuit warrior draws a slayspear from his quiver, and in one fluid motion he leaps forward to N-9, hurling the deadly projectile through the door where it explodes between Judge Anderson and Atom Eve. Harpoon makes a running shot to N-9, taking a shot at Judge Anderson with EE. 8 atk. vs 15 def, needs a 7 for the Judge and Eve. Roll is: (5,1) a six and a miss! Sensing the approach of the energy weapon, Judge Anderson throws herself and Eve down at the last possible second, the lethal energies dispersing harmlessly over their heads.

Can't believe I forgot to change Boon's placement. I must have been more tired last night than I remember.

Anyway, this has been a lot of fun. :)

Player 1, turn 6:

Judge Anderson: "Did that rotter say something about switching dance partners? That's a jolly good idea."

Anderson perplexes her damage to 3 and attempts to psychically assault Sabretooth. Needing a 5 with the terrain bonus, she gets a 1,4 for the hit and Sabretooth goes down.

Judge Hershey: "There's the perp leading this group. All judges, focus on snarly looking jerk with the crooked eye." (calls 2000 A.D. TA on Scalphunter) "Now, let's see if you like a stun grenade of your very own."

Hershey attempts an Incap on Scalphunter. 10 on 18 w/ hindering bonus. Rolls a 2,4 for a miss.

Scalphunter planned for this contingency and the stun grenade falls harmlessly at his feat without going off.

"He must have some other bloody gadgets on his person."

Reeling from Scalphunter's assault, Arwyn sees the writting on the wall for her. She heroically hobbles to M10 to keep the bad guys busy.

"Harpoon! Get this corpse out of my face, I've more important stuff to waste my bullets on!"

1)"Prepare to greet your ancestors girl" The grim inuit snarls as he lunges at Arwyn with a barbed slayspear in his hands. 8 atk. vs. 13 def, needs a 5. Roll is: (5,1) a six and a hit. Arwyn takes 2 and is KO'ed. Harpoon takes one from the push.

The cruel weapon is lodged deep in Arwyn's shoulder, and as Harpoon twists it in the wound, the brave warrior-princess passes out from the pain.

2) "Bring it on girlie, I've got bullets enough for all of you!" Scalphunter laughs as he kicks the dud grenade away, leaping to K-7. In mid-air he pulls another SMG from his body armour, spraying a hail of bullets at Eve and Hershey. Scalphunter makes a running shot to K-7, targetting Eve and Hershey. 11 atk vs. 14 and 15 def, needs a 4 for both, 3 for Hershey. Roll is: (5,6) 11 for an easy hit. Hershey's super-senses roll is: 2. Hershey takes 1, Eve takes 2 and Scalp' takes one from the push.

free) "Feeling woozy babe? Since Sinister wants you relatively undamaged, I figure I'd coat the bullets in that clip with some tranquilizier, should keep you nice and calm until we're done". Scalphunter outwits Eve's RCE.

free) "Please? You think a STICK is going to help you against me?" Vertigo amps up her own power even more, to her maximum level. Vertigo perplexes her own damage up to 1.

3) "Just for that, I'll make you retch up your own lungs!" Vertigo slams Boon with waves of disorientation and nausea intense enough to cause physical damage. 9 atk vs. 14 def. Needs a 5. Roll is: (5,1) a hit. Boon's super-senses roll is: 1. Boon takes 1 damage as the intense vertigo effect makes him violently ill (Yuck...).

free) Scalphunter quickly snatches a small device from his shoulder armour, activating it with a press of a button. There's a high-pitched, whining noise as the device springs to live, followed seconds later by a cry of pain from Judge Anderson. She clutches her head in her hands as blood runs from her nose. "What's that, you don't like my psychic jammer?" Scalphunter grins. "Too bad it'll burn out in a few seconds, but that's all the time I need to put you down!" Scalphunter outwit Judge Anderson's perplex.

Scalp', Vertigo and Harpoon clears.

Judge Anderson: "You are just a royal pain."

Anderson will attempt to Psychic Blast Scalphunter using the 2000 A.D. TA. She needs a 7...she gets an 8.

Anderson: "Psychic Jammer, indeed!"

free - Anderson perplexes Hershey's damage to 3.

Hershey takes a tough shot at Scalphunter. 9 to a 16 (thanks to the TA), she rolls a 5. Tough shot, tough miss.

Hershey: "That's it. I think he's got us."

Atom Eve: "I'm not about to give up. I want this jerk's head!"

Atom Eve forces herself to draw all of her strength and makes a violent blast at Scalphunter's face. Needing an 8 she rolls a 7, her anger getting the best of her.

Boon rests.

Harpoon attacks with EE, 8 atk. vs. 14 def. Needs a 7 for both. Roll is: ( 5,1) a six which misses both as Anderson dives to the side and Eve takes cover behind a vending machine at the last possible second.

free) "#####! You're gonna bleed for that!" Scalphunter slaps a fresh clip of seeker-rounds in his SMG's. Scalphunter perplexes his attack up to 10.

2) "Looks like it's up to me to take out the trash and end this show!" Scalphunter opens fire on Eve, Anderson and Hershey. 10 atk vs. 14, 15 and 15, needs a 5 for everyone, 4 for Hershey. Roll is: (4,3) a 7 and a hit. Eve takes 1 and is KO'ed, Anderson takes 2.

A savage rain of bullets spray from Scalphunter's blazing guns. Eve is knocked from the sky, her unconcious body crashing to the ground while Anderson remains standing, bleeding badly.

free) "You didn't get enough the first time little flatscan?" Vertigo powers up again, perplexing her own damage up to 1

3) "Well here's a second helping then!" Vertigo blasts Boon with her amplified powers. 9 atk vs. 13 def, needs a 4. Roll is: (1,6) a 7 and a hit. Boon's super-senses roll is: 5, succes!

Having felt the ghastly effect of Vertigo's power earlier, Boon manages to steel himself against her onslaught, remaining focused and steeled throughout the nightmarish ride.

free) Scalphunter jabs a viscious elbow backwards, aimed at Boon's midsection, which Boon expertly dodges. The dodge, however puts him dead to right in Harpoon's sight as the relentless Inuit readies another of his deadly weapons... Scalphunter perplexes Harpoon's damage up to 3.

1) Without a word, Harpoon lets the missile fly, aimed straight between Boon's shoulders. 8 atk. vs 13 def. needs a 5. Roll is: (3,5) an 8 for the hit. Boon's super-senses roll is: 6. At the last possible second, the young martial artist notices the threat and leaps aside as the charged spear explodes where he was fractions of a second ago. Harpoon takes one from the push.

Scalphunter curses, and clears. As does Vertigo

Sorry about the delay, got some computer trouble, but it should all be taken care of now.

Player 2, turn 10:

1) "Hey, where'd the little asian with the chop-stick run off to?" Vertigo runs to N-8

free) "Oh, there he is, here you go Scalp' take him down!" Vertigo disorients Boon with her powers, leaving him a ripe target for Scalphunter. Vertigo perplexes Scalphunter's attack up to 10.

2) "Your stick against my tech? That's a bet I'm willing to take boy!" Scalphunter growls as he drops an SMG, pulling a serrated knife from his leg-armour in the same fluid motion. "Time to show you how I earned my name!" Scalphunter swings at Boon, 10 atk. vs 13 def, needs anything but a crit miss. Roll is: (1,3) a four and a hit. Boon's super-senses roll is: 3. Boon takes 3 and is KO'ed.

Fast as he is, the young martial artist just can't keep up with the skill, experience and ferocity of Scalphunter, particularly not in his vertigo-induced state. With a sadistic grin, Scalphunter plants an armoured knee in Boon's mid-section, knocking the wind, and fight, out of him. As he gasps for breath, Scalphunter buries the blade of his combat knife in his side, twisting it in the wound for good measure as Boon collapses into unconciousness. "You're not bad boy, but you're certainly not in my league. I'll let you live though, so feel free to come back for more if you ever get better" Scalphunter grins.

Harpoon watches the spectacle and clears

Fearing that this battle is almost at an end, the two noble Judges of Mega City One silently decide that they must take out as much of this criminal organization as possible.

Anderson will push herself to the limit to shoot at the crazy cat-suit woman that made Boon vomit. 7 on 14, she rolls a 5,3 for the hit. But wait! It appears that Vertigo's sickly abilities only confused her into thinking she hit, while Vertigo side stepped the shot.

Hershey, however isn't shaken by this effect and takes a shot herself. 8 on 15, she rolls a 6. Again, Vertigo has shown her powers too effective for this humans to overcome.

The end is neigh.

free) "Is that your best, put 'em out of their misery scalp!" Vertigo sends the world spinning for the Judges with her powers. Vertigo perplexes Scalphunter's attack up to 10.

free) Scalphunter remolds his other SMG, slapping in a fresh clip of hollow point ammo for extra punch. Scalphunter perplexes his damage up to 4.

1) "Curtain call ladies!" Scalphunter's laughter is drowned out by the roar of his guns as he opens fire. Scalphunter fires at Judge Anderson and Judge Hershey, 10 atk vs. 13 def for both, need anything but a crit miss. Roll is: (2,2) a 4 for the hit. Anderson takes one and Hershey 3 for the double KO, Scalp' takes one from the push.

The acrid stench of gunsmoke fills the mall as Scalphunter's blazing guns mow down the defiant judges. As the smoke clears, Scalphunter holster his guns with a grin. "Well, that was fun, Vertigo, smack some life back into Sabretooth, and tell him that he gets to drag Blockbuster home, I'll get Sinister his prize."

As Scalphunter strides towards the unconcious form of Eve, the mall is suddenly filled by a blinding flash of light "WHAT THE..." Seconds later, as their sight returns, the Marauders find themselves alone in an empty, shot-up mall....

Looking around but seeing nothing, Scalphunter spits on the ground as we walks towards the exit. "Oh boy, Sinister is going to be thrilled about this..."
