"Ready everyone?" Scalphunter whispers as the Marauders sneak forward under the cover of night. "Sinister said he wanted these T-bolts to pay for crossing him, and he sent me along with you to make sure you do it right this time!"
1) "Follow me, and WAIT for my signal" Scalphunter ghosts forward to K-11, kneeling down in cover behind the parked truck.
free) Scalphunter snaps a gas grenade from his armour, tossing it up on the roof with expert aim, as it detonates at Songbird's feet, filling her lungs with tear gas. "Let's see the bird sing without a voice" Scalphunter grins as Songbird chokes and gags. Scalphunter outwits Songbird's TK.
2) "Right behind you Scalp' " Vertigo grins as she sprints to H-13, taking cover behind a gas pump.
3) Wordlessly, the grim Inuit warrior Harpoon hefts a Slayspear as he follows his leader through the darkness, running to H-12

The rubber bullets only partially penetrate his skin (1 click after toughness). "Whoa Abe, wait for me." Hallie says, grabbing onto a wing as he goes. Abe running shots to P9, hits scalphunter. Drops Jolt at P8.
2) *Kaff Kaff* "Donny, make yourself useful! Give us some ice for cover," Melissa says. Blizzard makes a barrier at M7, N8, O9, P10.

Harpoon merely nods as he sprints forward, hurling a glowing slayspear at Blizzard. Harpoon makes a running shot to L-13, aiming for Blizzard. 9 atk vs. 16 def, needs a 7. Roll is: (6,5) 11 for the hit. Blizzard takes 1.
free) "Think you're tough kid? I'll show you tough!" Scalphunter loads a clip of DP-rounds and aims for Charcoal's head. Scalphunter outwits Charcoal's invulnerability.
free) "I set him up, you knock him down Scalp'" Vertigo grins as she sends Charcoal for a spin. Vertigo perplexes Scalphunter's attack up to 11.
2) "Enjoy kid!" Scalphunter unloads at Charcoal at point blank range. 11 atk. vs 17 def, needs a 6. Roll is (6,5) (DAMN these dice are hot). a solid hit. Charcoal takes 3 as part of his head is blown away clear from the brutal headshot.
Blockbuster and Whirlwind enjoy the show and prepare to join in as they rest.

Poor Charcoal...
Just so you know, deep shadows gives everyone the +1 hindering terrain bonus for every ranged attack. Man, it's getting crazy in here.
4a:
1) "Get in there Gill, Charlie needs help." Songbird tks Blizzard to K15. 1 for the push.
2) "Ahhh, songbird, what's wrong with you? I don't know who to shoot!" Blizzard pulsewaves from K15, missing everyone.
3) "Hahaha! You think taking my head off can stop me?" says Charcoal's head from the ground, as it inches it's way toward his body. "Take this!" Charcoal forms a hand into diamond hard spikes, as he punches it into scalphunter's chest (BCF). Attack hits, BCF roll is a 4 (ignore the first roll, which was two dice). Scalphunter takes 3 after toughness, Charlie takes one for the push.

Roll is: (4,4) an 8 for the hit. Blizzard vomits inside his mask as the ground flows away beneath his feet and the sky starts dancing. Blizzard gets a token and takes 1 from the push.
free) "SCALP! Tear him apart Blockbuster!" Vertigo screams as she knocks Charcoal off balance again. Vertigo perplexes Blockbuster's attack up to 9.
2) "Once I'm done with you, there won't be enough left to fill a pencil!" Blockbuster swings his motor cycle at Charcoal. 9 atk. vs 16 def, needs a 7. Roll is: (3,5) a hit! Charcoal's impervious roll is: 2. Charcoal takes 3 after impervious.
With a thunderous crash, Blockbuster's make-shift weapon impacts with Charcoal, tearing him clean in half! "Not so tough now, pencil-boy are you? You ain't got a chance against the man who broke Thor's arm!"
3) Scalphunter points his gun at Charcoal's severed head, one hand clutching his bleeding chest. "Not bad boy, that I gotta give you, but here's a little lesson for you, never leave a job half done!" Scalphunter shoots Charcoal again. 9 atk vs. 14 def, needs a 5. Roll is: (4,3) a 7 for the hit. Scalphunter takes one from the push, Charcoal takes one after toughness and is KO'ed.
Scalphunter pours explosive round after explosive round into Charcoal's body until nothing but a fine dust remains. "Let's see you walk away from that!" Scalphunter spits on the ground.

Wouldn't Deep Shadows prevent Melissa from Pulsewaving Scalp' if her range becomes 6 then her pulsewave range is halved to 3, Scalp' was in K-11, so she'd need a range of 4 to reach him?

yeah you're right. So I wouldve shot him for 2 minus one (no pulsewave). In all honesty, though, when I did my running shot I wouldve attacked scalphunter instead of riptide, and I wouldve hit for the KO. So do you want to just say that's what I did and leave my positioning where it is?

free) "I've got the brat Harpoon, nail her!" Vertigo sends Jolt hyper-enhanced senses on the ride of their lives. Vertigo perplexes Harpoon's attack up to 10.
1) "You are barely worth my attention child, but you are in my way!" Harpoon slashes at Jolt with a slayspear, 10 atk. vs 16 def, needs a 6. Roll is: (3,4) 7 for the hit. Jolt's super-senses roll is: 1. Jolt dodges at the last moment, but is still nicked by the lethal weapon, cruel barbs drawing blood on the young Thunderbolt. Jolt takes 1.
2) "Leave something for me Harpoon" Riptide giggles. "You think you're fast little girl? Let's see if you're fast enough to dance with Riptide!" With a maniac laughter, Riptide spins towards Jolt, launching a hail of lethal projectiles as he picks up speed. Riptide flurries Jolt. 7 atk. vs 15 def, needs an 8. First roll is: (1,5) 6 and a miss, second roll is: (4,4) an 8 for the hit. Jolt's super-senses roll is: 3. Jolt takes 1 and is knocked back to N-12
Pushing her enhanced speed and reflexes to her maximum, Jolt ducks and weaves under and through the lethal rain of spikes and stars Riptide sends her way, almost getting through the storm unscathed when a jagged star connects painfully, forcing her to retreat from the gibbering maniac.
Blockbuster looks down at Abe, hovering before him. "I'm gonna crush you like a bug, little flatscan, but I don't wanna die from boredom here so why dont ya take the first shot. Go ahead, knock yourself out, 'cause I guarantee you ain't gonna knock me out!"
The man-mountain laughs at his own joke as he cracks his knuckles and clears along with Vertigo.

2) "Whaddou I do?" Donnie shakes his head and makes a barrier at J12, K13, L14, M13 (Boy is he front-loaded).
3) "That's it! Slow 'em down, Donnie. I'm gonna lay a beatin' on this weird-looking chick." Jolt runs all the way around to G14.
Songbird clears her throat.

2) "HEY get back here ya cowardly little runt!" Blockbuster yells after Abe. "If ya won't come down ta play, I guess I just gotta knock ya out of the sky." Blockbuster lumbers over to pick up the sewer lid in M-9 before he returns to M-11.

2) "Here tweetie-bird, CATCH!" Blocbuster hurls the sewer lid, like an oversized discus at Songbird. Blocbuster throws his LO at Songbird. 8 atk. vs 15 def (+1 from the shadows) needs an 8. Roll is: (4,5) 9 for a hit! Songbird takes 2 as the lid strikes her in the stomach, knocking the wind out of her, severly damaging her harness as well.
"HEY Bug-boy! You saw what I just did ta ya girlie? Ya coming down here ta do something about it or what?" Blockbuster yells at the top of his lungs.
3) "Don't you dare Vertigo, the kid is mine, MINE!" Riptide screams as he spins to I-14, heading straight for Jolt.

3) Riptide spins forward to Blizzard's ice-wall, hurling a barrage of razored spikes against it to no effect. "You have to come out sooner or little flatscan! And when you do, Riptide will be waiting!" He gibbers maniacly. Riptide runs to L-16
Melissa sees the energy-spear searing through the darkness towards her, but in her weakened state, and with her harness damaged she just can't muster up the energy to deflect it. With a final scream of pain she collapses into unconciousness as the electric shock from the Slayspear knocks her out cold.
