Its easy, just give a Rating from 1 (Jaws 4:The Revenge) to 10 (Jaws), and thats it. Course I'd love to have you all give reasons as to why you feel it deserves this Overall Rating, and more than encourage discussions with us all about them.

Next Film: ??????
Well, I love the first one, and I love the second one almost as much. Keaton is still my favorite Batman, the two (even three with Walken in fact) bad guys of the movie are really great, props are still fantastic, music is still excellent too, and I love the way Burton shoots. And the armed penguins are soooo cute :p. The bizarre love triangle between the three protagonists is well built (at least in my opinion). There's only one minor flaw: this movie's title should have been "The Penguin" instead of "Batman Returns". I watched it again a few weeks ago (it was years since I last saw it), and I was pretty amazed to see how the movie is much more centered on the Penguin rather than on Batman (at least that's the way I feel about it). This isn't so much a problem for me, the movie is still great, and it's cool to see the story from the Penguin's POV.

Superhero action + Danny Devito's creepy Penguin + Michelle Pfeiffer in black leather = a pretty damn good movie.
8.5/10
(Also, the next movie should be X2. You've already done the other two, why not complete the set?)

Well, I dont think its next, but it is in this series of Sequels, which is due to end with #90. :)
Ah, the Batman film right before a neon lit Gotham and Batsuit nipples. This continued where the original Burton Batman left off, with a dark brooding Dark Knight trying to protect a dark, crime filled Gotham City. Overall I liked the first one better, but this film was certainly very enjoyable as well. The origin of Catwoman was a bit dopey, as well as her having 9 actual lives, not to mention starting the trend where EVERYONE at the end of these films finds out Bruce Wayne is Batman (though it was nice to see a Bruce Waybe/Alfred nod to letting Vicki Vale in the Batcave in #1). DeVito does a great job with The Pengiun, portraying him as a dark, distrubed and sick little man ("ughhh, I picked a cute one" he mutters at the end, realizing his last ditch weapon umbrella was a kiddie one. :)) All in all this was an enjoyable film, though I didnt like it as much as its original (which wasnt a film I Loved myself)
Batman Returns - 7.75 / 10

Ah, my favorite of the first series of Batman movies. Chris Walken being himself, Gotham City looking all gritty and full of giant socialist-looking art, and the Circus of Crime stealing the movie (I've always loved the poodle trainer). And a Siouxsie and the Banshees song as a bonus! (Yeah, the Prince soundtrack will forever be a strike against the first movie for me - Elfman never sounded better than he did in the score for Batman Returns.) One of my favorite laserdiscs of all time - a solid 9.0 from me.

A good solid 8.5 from me. Burton remains true to his vision. Elfman continues to score brilliantly. DeVito makes a compelling Penguin and Pfieffer - rowr. If I rate it a little lower than the first, it's because the first had more impact. No one had seen a Gotham like this before. Now they had seen it before. Still and all, a very very good interpretation.

I have to agree with the assessment of Drunky...this is a good Penguin movie, however, I didn't like the trend started here by including more than one 'big villain' in the story. This is actually quite a standard Tim Burton film, IMO...while I like what he does with his stories, he had too many competing elements for my taste; the actors seemed to be competing with the scenery, and the special effects, and the score, etc.
7.5/10
It's not bad.

I thought there were so many directions it could have gone in and then he left most of them all out to dry except a few.

Enjoyed this movie so much more than the first. Sacrilegous? Maybe....
Devito is compelling as a sick mutant-like perv. Pfeiffer is perfectly cast as Selina Kyle. Mousy secretary turns into feline predator. With a penchant for leather....obviously! The theme of relationships runs through this sucker. Something that Burton loves to explore. Elfman's score seems more necessary this time around.
Also, took a really hot girl to it. ;)
9 of 10.

I just recently bought Batman the Movie (Adam West and Burt Ward) and those villains of old which to this day portrayed the Penguin,Catwoman (and the Riddler) better then Batman Returns ever did.
so 5/10 for me.
It has Christopher Walken in it...DeVito plays an amazing Penguin, as well...I agree with the statements about it being more of a Penguin movie than a Batman movie, but I like that. The Penguin is an interesting character who was never really explored very well in the comics...
The movie gets a 9/10 from me, because it's one of the few instances where I like the 'movie' version of a character more than the 'comic' version of a character.

Interesting interpretation- kept you interested from start to finish (except for the Katie Holmes poorly cast) Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine interesting support and a young commissioner gordon.
A solid start (hopefully does not fall from grace with # 2) 8

Er.....this is Batman Returns buddy, the second of the Tim Burton Batman films, not Batman Begins. :)

Really good movie - paralleling Batman and his rogues gallery. Tim burton can direct Batman for sure.

7.5/10 Its Tim Burton genius but I just don't think its as strong as BATMAN. Plus here we go with killing off the main villain again, and yeah Catwoman lives but you don't see her again in the series. LAME.
