Get official ruling please. I understand I'm a moron and probably wrong on this, but get one that's official.
We can wait for Turtle. I think that these are the rules that apply:
P. 26: characters that are in adjacent squares but at different elevations cannot make close combat attacks against each other.
P. 17: For purposes of breaking away and close combat, a flying character is at the same elevation as the square its base occupies.
But if you want to see a REAL moron, check out the match between Stepper and I last season in the finals. I was soooooo bad. I couldn't take a turn without screwing up.
So we can wait for something official, I could be having a finals flashback.
What move am I ruling on exactly?
They want to know if Statesman can make a close combat attack against Iron Man if they are on different elevations.
CurBludgeon
10/20/2006, 13:47
Unless Statesman has leap/climb, there's no close combat happening between him and someone at a different elevation. So his best hopes are ranged attacks (including thrown objects), and if he has battle fury, he can't even throw an object.
But I'm not the judge, so take that for what it's worth.
There are essentially three type of evelavtion in clix. Grounded, elevated and soaring.
The only way to make a close combat action when you're not on the same elevation is if you have leap climb or divebomb

This match is very fun to watch, and that move by discombobulous will either make or break him. I can't wait to see the attack:)
My move was like putting a band-aid over a severed arm. Statesman could've hit Iron Man for 2 at most and Invincible could have hit Abbey for 2 at most. Iron Man would not lose Invul either way, and both of my guys would be pushed. There was no 'making' to be had here.

If you had flurried though you could have potentially hit Iron Man for 4 with the HO for 2 damage on your first attack, then with your second attack you could have knocked Abbey for 2 damage. Which would have knocked her off outwit and allowed you to push Invincible to hit Iron Man for 4 damage or rested him and hit Iron Man for 4 next turn.
It was definitely a long shot, but given the circumstances it was probably the best move you could have made:)

not using flurry = biggest waste of space in the league.

Since the first die roll did generate two 1d6 results that we can add together, even if the roller didn't add them, I'm inclined to take it.
I really thought that you were going to destroy me that turn.

Seriously, don't be down after facing the Exiles. They're only the defending Marvel champs after all, and they're a dangerous, frustrating team.

Yes, rampant stupidity is good! With my injuries I have to field my C team against you (not even my B team).

While I appreciate that you're trying to help along a wounded animal, Iron Man should not have taken those 2 clicks. You and I could both clearly see a miss was rolled even though a die was 'thrown out.' I understand those 2 clicks were meaningless, but I'd rather not have the charity.

From the Superhero Bowl (Last Season's Final Match)
OOPS! I was thinking that he had a range of 6. And the rest was just a big brain cramp. Sorry for making so many errors at once. The wife and daughter were rushing me to finish and take them shopping.
I apologize again. I haven't made this many errors in the entire regular season combined. I did indeed mean K-7 for Green Arrow. ...I know I have sorely tarnished my image with this game. I guess I need to roll out a table top map.
gotta fix that. I don't have los to that spot for the TK on Shaz.
OK, if I make one more stupid mistake like that I'm conceding.
We all have bad matches. Mine was very public. Don't sweat it.
And the damage was from pushing, not charity.

I get frustrated when I lose too, but one loss really isn't that bad. You have a ton of points from your first game and it looks like there really won't be THAT many marvel teams that are 2-0 after week two.
When people talk about how good the Exiles are it's not just to make you feel better, it really is the truth. I had a pretty good team last season, and I'm a decent player, and I got crushed by the Exiles. I don't even think I killed one piece. They are just a really nasty team.

hey man your team is very good and to be honest I am already planning for my game against you in week 5, your team is going to be very dificult to defeat.
i may have to use the stradegy that worked against turtle, I roll well and you dont lol.
keep it going the exiles are teh rue of this league now that spidey and evil friends are gone, the exiles have the most depth and ringers on the marvel side
they have PC in a hard to kill piece. anti stealth mobility, TK, one of the vest tie up peices in the symbiote. cheep stealth PD team ability pieces,
the exiles are hard hands down.
also dont worry about record cause this year there is so much parity in this league that I doubt anyone will go undefeated
personally since I am coming off a win in week 2 that I didnt think I would win, I am gunning for 4-2, but I could very well be 2-4 you never know.
Yep, with me starting at 1-1 I think it'll be very difficult for me to end up 4-2. Still have to face Freedom phalanx, MOE, and ultimates. I also have to face excalibur, but i don't know anything about them. I'll have to check 'em out before i face them.
