I'm not sure if anyone will find this to be a fun game, but here goes:]
The idea is to take a story from any source (TV, movies, comics, etc) in which the story climaxes with the hero in a seemingly hopeless situation. Then, without giving away what the hero did to handle the situation, ask "What should he/she do?"
Others will post their opinions/plans on what the hero should do. The first person to come reasonably close to what the hero actually did wins. (The original poster decides who was "reasonably" close.) The winner can then post his own "What should the hero do?" problem.
Here's the first:
In an episode of the radio version of "Gunsmoke," Marshal Dillon arrests an outlaw for stage robbery and murder. The man had an unidentified accomplice, but no one can prove who that was. The outlaw threatens to rat out his partner in unless he arranges a jail break.
Dillon knows a jail break attempt is probably coming, so he hires two men to sit with shotguns in front of the jail and a third man to cover the back. Then he hides the key to the jail, not even telling his deputy Chester where it is.
But the outlaw's partner hires a skilled gunman to help. While Dillon is away from the jail, they knock out the backdoor guard and get the drop on Chester. The two men in front have no idea this is happening inside.
When Dillon returns, he's captured and disarmed. He refuses to tell where the key to the door is,so the gunman gets a rope and ties a noose around Chester's neck. He threatens to hang the deputy unless Dillon tells them where the key is.
So two bad guys have their six-shooters trained on Dillon. Chester has a noose around his neck while the outlaw still locked behind bars holds the other end of the rope and gets ready to heave away.
What should Dillon do?
