Hey gang,

Well, another great place to play is closing up shop. Sleeping Dragon Games in Matteson IL is closing. Now, there is still the Dungeon in Burbank, but its getting REALLY slim on the southside. Anyone have at least a club that runs events? Its to the point now if I can't make it to the Dungeon, I can't play in Marquees, etc without at least an hour's drive.

Hope to get enough folks together to get a club going.

Thanks,

And I just checked, the Dungeon has zip on the schedule for Heroclix.

Man, does this suck.

Bummer... no consolation that a new venue is starting up that would take you ages to get to.

I assume Wheaton and Schiller Park are too far to drive to?

I'll have to take a look. I know that's some distance as well, but the problem also lies in what day events are on. Saturday events I can't make due to work. Send me the 411 on the new venue.

Thanks, Ignatz.

The venue is Evil Squirrel Comics (http://www.wizkidsgames.com/userdetail.asp?userid=463167). Tournaments are Tuesday nights at 6:30. As you could probably guess, Rogers Park can be kind of a bear to get to from the SW side, especially in the late afternoon (I was doing it three times a week for a teaching gig when I was living out there). There's supposed to be prize support starting in December. Until then, we're kind of winging it (I hope to start showing up a bit more regularly in the future).

We'll have prizes even for the venue-supported events. I have some spare LEs, even from Sinister.
