View Full Version : Origin or063: Wonder Girl (Veteran)
Range: 6 /
Cassie is a sweet figure. She's got upfront potential to be devastating. Her mid-dial clicks are just as deadly with flurry or Psi-Blast. That 6 range is such a boon with so many figures having mid and end-dial combat reflexes. She is one of the best figures in the 100-125 point range.
The veteran Wonder Girl is the new brick of choice for the Titans.
She'll charge in with a heavy object for 5, and then next turn she can push for another 5 thanks to CCE. Flurry with 3 damage makes her even more dangerous, and a real threat on the map.
She definitely makes up for Superboy (which we really need a new one).
I don't have this piece yet, but I will be ordering it off E-Bay just because of the mid dial flurry. Her ATK values need to be boosted to +1 in order for her to be a beast. Use ICWO until it's retired in June 2007.
Talk about dropping the ball on an entire REV progression.
Why is Cassie only doing two damage for half her dial? Why does she barely have any damage reducers? Why combat reflexes at all?
The psiblast and flurry are nice, but this flat out isn't Cassie.
A solid figure that came very close to my top 10 pieces for the Origins set list but fell just a little short due to how fragile she can be.
She's a bit expensive at 116 points for 8 clicks with only 1 of invulnerability and solid but not spectacular AV and DV, but played right she can really tear through opponents.
The top dial CCE and Charge pairing is frustrating as ever, but I've grown not to mind so much as she can still charge in and bash for 5 if she's carrying a heavy object then follow up for 5 more via CCE without the object. Titans TA helps make her somewhat pushable as she can do this 10 damge 1-2 punch, push, and have a Titan or WC ally heal her back up to her top click after.
With 3 clicks of 3 DaV CCE and 4 clicks of flurry (2 with base 3DaV), good attack powers on every click, 3DaV psychic blast... I really like this figure a lot but she requires careful play as she can drop quickly, and with only a 6 range and a strong close combat focus it can be very hard to play her carefully as she kind of needs to be right in the thick of things. This is what keeps her out of Origins' top 10, but she's very close. She'll work out quite well for you more often than not.
The Vet is a huge boost thanks to a 10 AV and Invulnerability to start. After she Charges with her Super Strength, she gets a long run of Flurry to help her finish off whoever she alpha-struck. She's a bit top-heavy, but is yet the first of the Teen Titans' decent bricks.
