View Full Version : Philippines (PH) Best Ten Figures by Expansion Set...
Here's my Best Ten figures for the Avengers set. No particular order and I did not include the 4 Heralds of Galactus.
1) Ares(u)-high attack and damage. This guy can bring the hurt on your opponent's figures. In a unrestricted format you can use T-bolts on him.
2) Iron Man(u)-decent attacker with Ultimates ta.
3) Hulk-Improved version with charge and flurry and also Moe-like white power.
4) Living Laser(v)-19 defense with running shot. Hard to hit.
5) Ultimates Quicksilver(r)-non-flyer hypersonic figure with no problems with hindering terrain(outside of feats/bfcs).
6) Ronin(r)-stunning blow feat goes well with this figure.
7) Shang Chi(e)-takes up the chores of Iron Fist and costs much less.
8) Spider Man(v)-dangerous with his white power. Unrestricted format makes him more deadly with T-bolts.
9) Two-Gun Kid(v)-low cost transporter with the potential to inflict crippling damage(with the help of perplex, shield ta and enhancement)on two different targets using Fanfire(white power). I'm still not sure if this power can be combined with the transporter move and attack. T-bolts feat in unrestricted play further enhances this transporter and he will definitely replace Hawkeye(FF) in restricted play.
10) Winter Soldier(v)-70pts of deadliness.

1) Iron Man(u)
2) Shang Chi(e)
3) Ronin(r)
4) Living Laser(v)
5) Two-Gun Kid(v)
6) Spider Man(v)
7) Hulk
8) Winter Soldier(v)
9)Ares(u)
10) Ultimates Quicksilver(r)
This is how I'd rank those figs. The common figs rank higher for me since they're not only playable, but since they are common, they're most likely going to be fielded more often than the super-rares.
I'd take out Quicksilver though and replace him with R Wiccan
I'd take out Quicksilver though and replace him with R Wiccan
I just saw his stats just now and yeah you're right Wiccan can indeed replace Quicksilver in my best ten! He could be the most used utility/support figure in restricted play. Well until Justice League set comes up with a counterpart figure! Who could that be? Any guess?

At this point my only guess is Zatanna.
10) Winter Soldier(v)-70pts of deadliness.Deadlines? Nooooooo. Spare me from that word. I've heard that word one too many times in my workplace.

2. Iron Spidey
3. Ares
4. Hulk
5. Scarlet Witch (ULT)
6. Cap' n Bucky
7. Wiccan
8. Shang Chi
9. Black Panther
10. Cap

TRUE. But she's 35 points. EL is at 58. Sandman is at 59. She doubles as a TAXI.
TRUE. But she's 35 points. EL is at 58. Sandman is at 59. She doubles as a TAXI.Hey! Sandman doubles as an attacker/DEF lender na din. I think magkaiba na ng purpose sila ni Witch. IMO.
Elongated Man<Scarlet Witch<Sandman<JOHNNY QUICK
If you have the points, Johnny is still a good option because he is a solid figure, and with HSS he can position himself while attacking someone else. A little costly but justifiable.

i agree with javey iba ang use ni sandman kay witch, for me i'd rather use sandman than witch who does nothing but prob and taxi, sandman can lend def, prob, attack, and block lof. well atleast ako ganun gamit ko sa kanya.

While I'm still not busy at work...
Top Ten Origin figs
1. U Johnny Quick - HSS speedster with built-in, Outwit-proof Probability Control and no need for Armor Piercing.
2. U Sandman - Stealthed Probability Controller that can share his Defense and is a good close combat fighter.
3. R Shazam! - For a mere 105 points, one of the coolest HSS pieces in the game as he still has awesome stats and skills (HSS, Outwit, Impervious) when you knock him further down his dial. He can heal himself as well with Regen later in the game.
4. R Wildcat - Low point cost, high damage potential.
5. R Question - The new Icons Starter Batman. A 40 point Outwitter who still retains Outwit down his dial after taking a hit.
6. U Batman - The other new Batman decides to be a Perplexer who also serves as a good secondary close combat attacker.
7. U Mr. Mind - He made Mind Control teams cool, especially when equipped with the tailor-made feat card Compel.
8. SR Lois Lane - The woman every Wildcard would want to have as a teammate. For 17 points she fuels Wildcard teams with one of the best TAs in the game.
9. E Mirror Master - DC's first transporter phases and can shoot from afar with his long range.
10. U Jakeem Thunder - Perplex, 2 ways to share his high Defense, and Probability Control. Also very Nanobottable given his Damage values. Heal him back to his first or second click to make your opponent cry.
Did I miss anything?

Gian,
I'd have to agree with your list except with Mirror Master E and R Question. Although nobody has yet used him to an abusable extent here, I 'd have to include E Valor in my list. With all the armies built around Valor in the past few weeks, one can see the abuse potential he carries. Ala lang.
As for Question, I'd rather use ALfred but i don't have one. hahaha

As for the Scarlet thread, i do agree that sandman is more build-versatile as compared to scarlet but i'd stick with scarlet because of her outright playability. Altho sandman has the JSA TA, it would only work if you build a team around JSA or include wildcards to make use of the TA, def value of sandman. As for Scarlet, she may only bring a prob, free taxi, barrier and 8 range to your team but she can be overlooked in a swarm army. Sayang lang wala nang tbolts, otherwise, scarlet would be greatly abused (i.e. batman, Supes ally, supes enemy, arachnos, or better yet, GL TA)

I think Valor would make it to the top ten list - aside from the cost and the numbers on the dial, the Legion TA makes him useful in JSA or Superman Enemy teams.
I want to add Vet Steel but I need to see how he performs first.
If only I had Chemo (with toxic burst), I would make a suicide squad theme...

Hey, since this thread's been raised from the dead. Might as well post my picks for MnM. Pre-playtest ha. I'll note my honorable mentions that I think could make into the top as well. This list isn't about who's better than the other mano-y-mano, it's who I think will be used more than the other (as a tentpole or a really good support fig) in the coming tourneys.
1) Green Scar (absolute #1 - no one else comes close)
2) Apocalypse - a tough tentpole with BOTH Shape Change and Imperv? Tons of Outwit to be a candidate for the Outsmart feat. Consider this guy a trickier version of Thanos.
3) Mimic - An Amazo-lite, this time with the powers of the X-Men favorites and waaay cheaper. He may have only one click of HSS, but Endurance and the X-Men TA could do really well to keep him on it. Should he fall down the dial, he has RCE and BCF. With help from ATK modifiers, this one is good to go. Hard to play on a themed team placed him on number 4. Could've been higher.
4) Storm/Bishop - two really popular X-Men (who probably GatX hates, because of their race, hehe) with pretty similar stats. Storm gets the nod with her high damage, and Bishop, though statistically inferior than Ororo, is also decent with his longer life, and some damage reducers. And a bonus click of outwit.
5) Hulkbuster - literally a tough nut to crack. This guy will see play because of popularity and the sculpt.
6) Brood - the closest you can get to the classic E Fury. A cheap taxi who'll Knock you out into oblivion if you ignore it.
7) Hulk - popularity placed him on top of no. 8.
8) Strong Guy - a brick with X-Men TA. See: Mimic. Dial control - 'nuff said.
9) The Leader - So-so stats, but crazy white power(s) and a wildcard to boot. The possibilities are endless.
10) Warskrull - Skrull Infiltrator on steroids. 8 annoying clicks of simulataneously dealing with Shape Change and Skrull TA. That will keep him alive. His mid dial BCF is a pain too.
Honorable Mentions:
Cuckoos - the fact that you need to field more than one of them means you will have to dedicate a whole strategy to use them to attack or to protect them. The question is, will they be that game-breaking? With average values and the fact that you'll be able to max out only one at a time, and only to those given a power action means they will be kinda tricky to use. But the potential is there.
Jean Grey - SHE WILL SEE PLAY. Period. Crucial in building a team, but more of a fallback option. If you have the points to field DR Jean, or Super-Ape, then this fig will be dropped.
Danger - Her built in fortitude-lite is big for her killer opening click. It's what happens to her after she gets knocked off past it that's keeping her/it from the top.
Ahab - I'm thinking if his white power really justifies his low AV and DV and short life.
Gambit - Above average stats and an insane OOTS-esque movement power. Consistent stats. But at 90 points someone has to expect him to do some more. The X-Men TA helps offset that problem.
Miek - A fighting MM fodder at only 60 pts with Plasticity late dial. This roach will tie you up bad. Could damage you badly if you get careless.
Giant-Man - A giant with outwit! Flurry-Steal Enery-Perplex down the dial.
Special mention:
Pete Wisdom - A blessing for X-fans, this guy is one of the few stealthy X-Men. Very pushable, and he begs to donate his first two clix to injured teammates so he can get to slicing and dicing with that nasty 3rd click.
Top MnM figs for me, played on free plays and some games.
1.) Green Scar- Definitely a monster
2.) Hulkbuster- pound for points. cheap heavy bruiser with tons of durability
3.) Smash Hulk NGN- with the right feats very annoying to deal with
4.) Apocalypse- one of the few Marvel Tentpoles that can provide dmg and stay long in the game (of course Thanos is better but..... apocalypse isn't far behind)
5.) Storm- cheap taxi that has the damage to boot plus leadership.
6.) Danger- as its name implies
7.) MArvel Girl- hello cheap TK
8.) Cuckoo- nice cheap prob figure (nothing beats ol R destiny)
9.) Warskrull- Nasty harasser and cheap to field as well
10.) Archangel- Pretty darn useful for its points, the fly by BCF is useful and the mid dial imperv+BCF guarantees dmg output even on later half of games

Javey which Jean Grey are you talking about? Marvel Girl 40 pt tker or AoA Jean Grey 90 pt psyblaster/mindcontroller/outwitter?
What?!? No Emma Frost? Emma's deadly;) . Throw Mental Shields and inside information on her and she can be very useful. Green Scar can attest to that:p
Hulk: Hulk bash!
Emma: These aren't the mutants you're looking for.;)
Hulk: Hulk not bash!?!:cheeky:
(Oh yes it works... I've used it twice and it works wonders)
No but that aside, here's my top characters so far. Based on play of course:
Green Scar - There's no denying it. He's just plain scary and powerful. Can't kill the damn thing. I can only delay him.
Storm - 10 range with 2 targets and later gains stealth? Holy.:noid:
Emma Frost - Hehe, but she is effective. In an all mutant or x-men team? oh yes really effective. Throw coordination on her and a pete wisdom in front of her and she can either snipe away with psyblast or mindcontrol. (God i love mindcontrol again:p )
Strong Guy - Brick with an attitude
Marvel girl - yay the return of cheaper tk!
X23 - fun 35 point piece, perfect in hindering terrain. Plus with only 5 clicks of life, one good regen roll brings the little monster back to life.
Brood - damn this 49 point flyer...

HEre are my TOP FIVE for the FORTHCOMING CRISIS
1. Dawnstar - HSS, Willpower, Wildcard and Alpha Flight-esque white power. Move over Aurora. Unfortunately, she's NOT going to be able to use ARMOR PIERCING for long (sniff-sniff)
2. Klarion - This is a TRICKY choice. HE might find a NICHE with the LoSH squad because of his TEEN keyword and Mystic TA. He's also stealthed and has perplex. HIS 76 pts might be a PROBLEM for small ARMY builds BUT HE's GOOD
3. Kid Flash - 45 pts and HSS NOT much to say after that. HAS other tricks on its sleeve. DOES not need SWINGLINE for those CURSED CD Junkyard Map.
4. Karate Kid - Despite Ecchs preference for Shang Chi. This Double-K is GOOD. Val-Armor can KICK ###, pair HIM up with those Bat-brats(Batman TA) That 17def + Combat Reflex can make a GROWN mAN cry.
5 Nightwing - Excluding those Chase SUPER-PEEPS. Probably one of the BEST figs in the SET. Even the LEADERship at the opening SLOT isn't AS sucky AS it would have been with CON-PLAN
i know this is a TOP TEN thread BUT my dial goes to 5 only

...forgot that this recently departed legionnaire (Countdown series*wink*) is a flier so he'll definitely be included in my Martial Artist team. *ngiti*
problem with being a flier though is that you can use range to shoot him down rather than hitting him with close combat, but you're right with the bat ally (or kabuki for unrestricted tourneys) team-up to solve this.

I agree with most of this dawg... I'll just add 5 to complete the cycle :p
-Darkseid - For 210 points, the guy meaner than Thanos or Apocalypse looks pretty damn good. Those SPs are killer and even adding 33 points for the requisite Fort+Protected he's still cheaper than the aforementioned Marvel bigwigs... more than enough points for cannon fodder willing to die for Darkseid (to quote Andok)
-Robin(Tim Drake) - Bruce's absence is understandable... his sidekicks take up the slack. Tim here's a mini-Bats himself with opening L/C and Outwit, and that dial for the points +the keywords make him stellar
-Rip Hunter - 97 points but that 97 points buys you a LOT of support: Outwit, PC, Perplex AND Power Cosmic to boys and girls adjacent to the Time Master. Add to that the keywords Future, Past and Scientist and you get a definite must-have
- Spectre - the best Giant to date... and finally, you don't have to win a Big Tourney to have him and sets a precedent for Colossal figs to have "lesser" Giant counterparts :p (waiting for Giant Galactus, Sentinel, et al)
- Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) - yes, he only has 7 clicks; yes, he's got one click of RS. And yes, no click of 4 damage or more for 157 points. Then you look at the SPs: EE and TK with 19 DEF (20 in the middle) from range with Toughness and Willpower with Perplex for 5 clicks AND 10 range 2 targets. Nevermind the keywords fit in a lot of themes that need his Might. Well worth the points.
Honorable mention: Superman (both) - because either one is going to kill your enemies' team in the right point range AND you know you want them... but good luck getting either or both

Ok, who'd you vote for a better fig in terms of power and usability...with Crisis' new 600pt format who would you want in your team:
- The Kc Superman
- or The Earth 2 Supes
LEt me know who you think is better at 600? Or at least 500pts ;)
darkjacen
03/25/2008, 02:24
Honestly, i'd go for KC Supes. He costs much less. He doesn't have the no pushing damage white power, but he'll always end up with at least 1 object. That leaves more space in a 500 or 600 point team.
With E2 Supes, the no push damage power will be a pain, also his mid-dial defense of 20:noid:.
The thing with E2 supes is his defense is more stable. KC supes has better Damage values not to mention charge and flurry.:)
With KC, you can still throw in Monitor if you ever get him or other usable lower point figures. It'll make for a more dynamic team.
Yup, i go for KC Supes. Besides Infinite Crisis pa rin!:p
Editted: Forgot to remove the part where he takes no pushing, cuz he does.

Erhem, He has Toughness, Willpower AND ESD;) SO he can have a max defense of 20 on his starting click and 21 in his middle when against range and sitting on hindering terrain, Add Ch'p alongside and hehehe you get the picture...
eh? KC supes takes pushing damage as normal.. only Earth 2 supes has the special no push power.... and world finest of course...
Seriously in a 600pt format? Use them BOTH!!
Earth 2 supes: 317+ fort+ prot= 350pts
KC supes: 238+prot+ inside info= 250pts
ayan 600pts of pure power and fun :p
But seriously, Earth 2 supes is way more powerful than KC supes.... in terms of power, playability and overall deadliness

But seriously, Earth 2 supes is way more powerful than KC supes.... in terms of power, playability and overall deadliness
Superman Fan.:p But if you look at their stats carefully, you'll see the only real difference in their numbers would be in defense and damage. Otherwise almost exactly same numbers. Not powers ha, numbers. BUt cuz of that no push thing, E2 Supes is a bit deadlier.
Nope, the BIG difference between the 2 is not just the numbers mate...
Heres a quick rundown of why E2 is way more deadlier....
Dial wise...
E2 has a more stable defense...20 def on click #3 and a more solid defense overall and its spread pretty well over his dial, KC supes has the standard superman dial... his dial degrades over the course of his clix.. E2 has dangerously high amount of 18 def clix....
Power wise...
KC supes charge and flurry with 2 objects is the main clincher on his dial... but will relatively be more effective with a TKer and the ability to carry 2 objects power can easily be nerfed by a feat card (nanoarmor) or a character (phantom girl) plus the HSS clicks are too short only 3 cliks, but overall not a bad dial due to the recurring white power towards the end and this supes has move and attack powers all through out... the doubles roll also gives you a free incap ability all for 238pts. But downside is he can't stand much on his own and can easily be hit (due to his degrading stats) and of course he pushes as normal
E2 on the otherhand does NOT take pushing damage (this ability cannot be countered) which makes him very very dangerous plus add the fact that he can attack any adjacent enemy for FREE per turn... makes his survivability against swarm teams much higher... (a 5 dmg free attack is nothing to scoff at) even if he has 2 tokens he can still make a free attack... Mobility wise he is more moblie having the full charge power AND 5 cliks of HSS and late dial charge makes him nasty... the damage power is also a pain to deal with because all E2 supers has to do is deal damage and everybody else on his team gains atak bonuses to that target (talk about leadership in real application) and the clincher in his dial is that sweet 20 def with INVUL and HSS, imagine at that click he could attack for free and HSS his way out and hit something else... for 317pts that is just meaner and nastier
overall both figures are nasty... but basing it on playstyle and overall playability i'd say E2 supes edges KC supes 2:1

Admittedly, resigned na nga ako na mas matindi ang Superman E2 on a 1 on 1 level...Even Galactus could not stand against him at a 600pt tourney!!! But seeing how powerful a Starro is, maybe it could stand up to him with its regenerating power or sorts(?)
...but in addition, what also makes the E2 a bit deadlier than KC is his blasted 5 clicks of HSS!!! Plus his ability to see thru stealth!!! Hell, no one is safe!!!
Kaya i ban na yang 2 Supermen na yan at mag Horrorclix na lang tayong lahat!!! :p

RE: Supes. There's no doubt E2 is powerful but i was coming from the point of view of pure numbers. E2 has better defense, while KC has better damage.:)
With powers counted then it changes everything. Hehe wow for you to go in depth, hehe Superman fan talaga.:p I mean even Galactus will have a run for his money against a team with E2 Supes. A good look at a retiring set.
10 best Collateral Damage game pieces..
honorable mentions: debris, kinetic absorber, aerial baffler, separation field generator, fuel tank, laser turret, inspiring command, the society, Superman Robot, and owlman.
10. E HIVE Trooper - enhancement, 22 pts, Soldier keyword
9. LE Kyle Rayner - nasty combat values for 135 pts backed by perplex, running shot and 10 range. 18 def with barrier and 7 clicks of life keeps him in #9
8. V Red Tornado - opens with TK and willpower for 67 pts. A high movement taxi that opens with 18 def. 9 attack, 3 damage and 6 range also make him a decent attacker. That's 3 separate functions rolled into 1
7. V HIVE Trooper - compliments the E HIVE Trooper perfectly. Stealth, Flight, 8 range and willpower. Just too good for 25 pts.
6. V Emerald Empress - pulsewave negates every power and every feat. She's a wildcard and has the Future keyword. Although fragile in her own right, she can cripple any piece in the game. 8 range, 7 clicks of life, average defense and carpy last clicks keep her out of the top 5 though.
5. R Red Tornado - Mobility is key. Reddy here combines a solid 9 movement with flight and TK to mobilize troops efficiently. Sure other flying TKers can do what he does. But not at 42 points.
4. NGN Superman - Opens with HSS, super strength, 11 attack, 5 damage, 10 range, 2 targets, and permanent stealth. So why is he stuck in number 4?
3. Man of Steel - Anti-stealth will always be better than stealth. Sporting almost the same offensive set as the NGN supes, MOS can make better use of his 8 range even during HSS thanks the Superman Ally TA. That opening 18 Defend means any LOF blocker he carries with him will be just as hard to hit as MOS himself.
2. R Dr Midnite - This guy takes MOS, NGN supes, R Shazaam and basically every tentpole piece over the top and makes them as competitive as possible by keeping them on those devastating clicks you paid all those points for. Almost every team could use a medic. 24 points means he can fit into any team. Stealth means your opponent has to get up close to deal with the good doctor.
1. R Green Flame - They say lockjaw is the best taxi ever created. Green Flame gives the pooch a run for his money. 17 pts makes her cheaper even if fielding multiples. She gives the spy keyword much needed cheap flight. But what makes her shine the brightest in today's game is the JLA TA. You heard me right. Free move = Lots of contingency plan tokens. She will be missed.:) (at least by me:p )
here's my top ten for armor wars that affected restricted play..
Lot's of cardboard on the list..
Honorable Mentions: EV Echo, R Aurora, U Wolverine, U Mystique, U Sentry, Isolation BFC, R Shaman, LE/EV Quicksilver, LE/EV War Machine, LE Jessica Drew, Repulsor Shield FC, Life Model Decoy FC
10. Shellhead FC - Shellhead made pushing some big guns a bit safer, giving extra protection for one turn.
9. R Executioner - A melee guy making the list? above U wolverine?! Executioner is the cheapest source of MOE in restricted and the package you get is not that bad at all. Shellhead combos nicely with him. But what he actually does is open up the MOE+Shellhead combo to wildcards. A good reason why E Valor was pretty effective.
8. V Psylocke - Psylocke combines stealth and combat reflexes with 17 defense to force most opponents to try to hit 19 def. Incap with a natural 3 damage screams stunning blow. 8 range certainly doesn't hurt either.
7. Inertial Interference Field BFC - nerfs hypesonic speed.. hmmm.. i wonder..:)
6. Armor Wars - A common bfc used by a lot of players. Armor Wars is usually a nightmarish match up for tent pole teams like U Thanos or the various supermen.
5. Alpha Flight FC - Free move has proven to be useful in a lot of situations. But players fielding big avengers figs wants to get more than just free move from the TA. Enter Alpha Flight. Granting a +1 bonus against an opposing character or team ability may mean the difference between hitting or missing. Costing 0 points has made this feat a mainstay in almost every team with characters sporting the Avengers TA.
4. LE Jeanne-Marie Beaubier - At 66 points with HSS and a 15 square swing, this marvelous LE has been used and abused by every player who has ever gotten one (me included!). A speedster that opened with 3 damage at that cost was previously unheard of. The succeeding 2 damage screams nanobots!
3. Nanobots - It shouldn't come as a surprise that nanobots is up here in the top 3. Healing without needing an attack roll is just crazy imbalanced.
2. Armor Piercing - for 10 points, your scrubs can actually pierce impervious skins. This handy piece of cardboard makes sure all characters can have a shot at nicking damage-reducing opponents. But where this card has gained most of its infamy is from its combo with poison.
1. Protected - Possibly the most game breaking card ever printed is protected. For 8 pts you can basically have an extra dial for one character. This card has changed the "first strike wins" mentality that has driven the game for so many years before this card's release.

foresight for crisis top ten:
1. Dawnstar- Quarry power = permanent + 1 sa AV against a target. HSS wildcard 60 pts..nuf said
2. Darkseid- omega beam just brings too much to the table
3. Kid Flash- HSS and phasing+ good SP..45 points sheesh
4. Chief- ALL IN ONE UTILITY/support piece. may article si cramcompany about this fig being uber competitive
5. Deathstroke- lakas ng special power niya plus deadly at close or range combat. wildcard TA long life. only drawback is 158 pts
6. Nightwing- same as the chief except capable secondary attacker and very flexible
7. Spectre- Best giant + amazing powers hahahaha
8. Green Arrow- good range fig, capable secondary attacker
9. Speedy or Red arrow- forgot which one has the trick arrows
10. Karate kid-great close combat fig, dangerous all through out.
honorable mentions: Kyle Rayner, Green lantern, Flash SR, Forerunner
just my 2 cents..
ung superman asa pa hahahaha wala sa top 10 kasi wala pang 10 sa atin ang magkakaroon..i think =p

Dude, My bias for green lanterns aside, go over hal Jordan's dial again, he shouldn't be an honorable mention, he's easily one of the best figures in the set and should make it to the top ten more than Ollie.;)
No earth 2 supes belong to the top 3 hahah
Top Ten Sinister:
Sinister had some really playable figs and some of the best bad guy clicks we've seen for a long time. Sinister Syndicate actually became respectable after this set. A lot of tourney staple figs are going away with this set.
Honorable Mention: E Shield Sniper, E Shield Sniper, V Swordsman, E Hydroman, RE Mockingbird, V Electro, E Shadowcat, EV Mach, RV Nighthawk, RV Multiple Man, V Daredevil, E Meggan, RE Bullseye, V Kraven, U Ka-Zar, U Arkon, Vendetta, Camouflage, Heightened Reflexes, E Hydra Technician, Back Alley Brawl
10. E Multiple Man - Perplex really took a hit with the retirement of R con artist, E DEO agent, oracle and ICWO. The next cheap perplex for restricted came with such a huge 32 point price tag. Multiple Man makes the list simply because he was the cheapest perplex of his time and some teams that really needed perplex will actually field him.
9. E Wizard - basically combines E Multiple Man with flight and TK. All for 74 points.
8. R Spiderman - back when pounce+superstrength were compatible, this version of spidey was one of the best for restricted. Lots of feats had great synergy with R Spidey like vendetta, camouflage, heightened reflexes. Being a wildcard also made for some obscene combos like the 15 attack with pounce+vendetta+alpha flight while copying Iron Fist's 12 AV. Pounce on him is still pretty good even after the errata.
7. U Ka-Zar - This guy doesn't make much sense for 40 points. 3 clicks of charge, 3 clicks of blades, 7 clicks of life with solid defense values laced with ESD and combat reflexes. Opening with 17def+ESD made him a great portable LOF blocker and Leap/Climb can get him around to annoy your opponent some more. One of the best tie-up pieces to date.
6. E Photon - HSS+3 damage for less than 100 pts will always be a threat. E Photon is a poor man's LE Jeanne Marie Beaubier(LE Aurora). She costs more, moves less, has better range but plays very similarly to Jeanne Marie. That extra 10 points to field E Photon over Jeanne-Marie made her less attractive though since you'd rather use that 10 points for nanobots.
5. V Mockingbird - Before Cuckoo and before thunderbolts got retired, Mockingbird was great to swarm with. Back then, the avengers TA was probably the best TA next to wildcards and in some cases are even better than wildcards. Thunderbolts really opened up the Avengers to a whole world of abuse and V Mockingbird was just ripe for that kind of abuse. But even without tbolts, that opening slot should NOT belong to anything costing 34 points. It's just crazy that she can hit for 4 up close and dodge close combat retaliation with a 19 defense!
4. V Bullseye - 10 Range, two targets, 11 AV, running shot, 3 damage for 65 points. WOW. Bullseye fights best from a distance and that distance is about half the game board. Very effective
3. E Spiderman - Ah.. trans-spidey. Notorious for his lack of the transporter symbol and rampant usage by most players who had one. Trans-spidey combines a wildcard TA, leap/climb, transporter ability and decent dodge to become the most flexible version of spiderman to ever come out. I've seen people run GL-tanks with him, Copy high AVs, Run nanobots, In share defense teams, slingshot teams, wildcard abuse, lots of feats, no feats, back alley brawl... Imagination can pay off when you use it on trans-spidey.
2. U Blackbolt - 17 defend really sucks. A 166 point fig opening with it couldn't possibly be good, right? There was a short time in the restricted environment where 17 def was actually pretty high with all the 9's and 8's a lot of the armor wars, collateral damage and sinister figs had on the AV slot. Lockjaw also became much more durable with defend. Blackbolt was one of the great Novablasters back when it was still active. Blackbolt is actually an awesome tentpole. He costs just a bit over 150 points and his dial reminds me a lot of ULT Thor where he is weakest on his middle clicks. Single target pulsewave can cripple every tentpole in the game, even both chase supes! One of the best sinister has to offer.
1. U Nick Fury - The original SHIELD badass. Actually not the original but the Samuel L version. Regarded as Marvel Heroclix's Batman, Nick fury combines stealth, sniping with RCE or Psyblast, outwit and the low, low price of 63 points to become the most powerful and frequently most overlooked character on the board. With Spy and Soldier as keywords, Nick Fury has actually made the transition from being a dominant restricted fig 2 years ago to a must-field piece for spy or soldier keyword teams. Contingency plan makes him even better. It gives him more reason not to push too early to get outwit. The best sinister fig for today's restricted.

here, here. Love that he has an effective 21 D from range when in hindering on his 18D click. And with his powers, what GL SHOULD be, even if I've never read a GL comic my entire life. :)
Eto top 10 ko based on playtesting and seeing it in play on the field.
1. Darkseid - Superman killer. Would have loved to put that theory to the test...pero in terms of comic accuracy...this is what Darkseid should be!
2. Dawnstar - echoing the sentiments of everyone. Team up 3 of these with Thanos and you only have to worry about a critical miss...:)
3. Spectre - Seen him in action and he is BRUTAL.
4. Nightwing - Effective 19D both on close and ranged combat? THREE team abilities? A capable attacker?Count me in!
5. Chief - ultimate support piece...nothing even comes close.
6. Black Adam - Bruiser with attitude. Also my first Black Adam fig and an SR to boot...very nice.
7. Green Lantern - 20D (21 in hindering) from range and a host of nice powers supplement this great fig.
8. Kid Flash - If only I had maneuver. :)
9. Wonder Girl and Wonder Girl - for the sole reason I love their Special Powers.
10. Klarion - Cheap mystics. I'm loving wildcards more!

Good nominations!
I generally agree, but I would vote for Tim Drake Robin is over Klarion because of the way he aids wildcard teams with his TA and his clicks of perplex and outwit. Now, if he also had out of the shadows...
Georgie - you might want to hold on wonder girl. Check out LE Donna Troy - aside from the lasso power, she has a special power called "Purple Ray". She can use support on characters 3 squares away as if adjacent to them (check the comprehensive reviews). According to the reviewer, the SP does not require her to have a line of fire to heal - just that the healed character is 3 squares away....bwahahahaha! Healing through walls anyone?
Also, maybe KC Supes, E-2 Supes and Deathstroke deserve a place simply because of their fear factor. Honestly, people build anti-supes teams if there is a possibility that anyone will use either superman.
Deathstroke's special power forces players to try to kill him quickly.
Oh, I also vote for Liberty Belle - very versatile piece.
My take on top 10: (quick rundown)
1. KC supes
2. Dawnstar
3. Klarion
4. E2 Supes
5. Kid flash
6. SPectre
7. Liberty Belle
8. Black Adam
9. Nightwing
10. Robin (the outwitter)

Top 5 Arkham Asylum
1. SIN-BAT. It being a chase fig automatically means that it won't get the playing time it deserves. But it is a nasty piece. It has ten range, 11 av and 4 dmg. The free smoke cloud seems to be a minor add-on BUT it's not. The FREE smoke cloud allows you to place the Sin-Bat at any location in the MAP without WORRYING about cover. He bring his own cover. Sin-Bat is DEFINITELY a shooter with its RANGE and BYO-Cover, that seems to make the SUPER STRENGTH out of place. ACTUALLY , it works great because you can CARRY the TOMBSTONE around without ever using it. That's a +2 on the def.
2. GOTHAM CITY DETECTIVE - This is a nice complement to SIN-BAT BUT a very good piece for any shooting team/piece. The enhancement/PD combination makes it obvious. The 2nd click of willpower and plasticity just makes it a great compliment to a shooter. Here's what you do. get GCD adjacent to your target. Run your SHOOTER right beside the GCD but one square away from the target. GCDs plasticity should PIN DOWN the target while your SHOOTER fires AWAY
3. LASHINA. Don't we just LOVE HSS. Lashina has HSS and is only 72 pts plus damage starts out at 3 not the LAME 2 by the flashes. (he he he).Of course the HSS starts at the 2nd click. SO WHAT. I mean i see all those Shazam R. So go get ONE, even if u havent got a clue who this character is.
4. ZOOM. HSS and Flurry that you can use SIMOULTENOUSLY. DOn't you just love it. Just for KICKS it has prob and senses. DAMMN. on the down side. it DOES COST a hefty 130 pts. I'll take it anyway. Ow .. it also has IMPERVIOUS and EXPLOIT at mid dial. PUCKER.
5. SUPERMAN PRIME. OK, the chase supes are definitely BETTER BUT common, are there figs actually better than CHASE SUPES? So stpp comparing. Take this FIG for what it is. A MONSTER.
You know as well as I do that there are not TEN good FIGS in any set. Kaya top 5 lang

TOP SI figs
1. MS. MARVEL SKRULL - Played against this and hated it ... so what you do if you ever played against a fig that you hate. GET ONE. That's what i did. Remember NGN Supes. HSS and Batman TA. This far better than that, Ms Marvel-Skrull has HSS and Stealth for FOUR clicks NGN Supes has one) PLUS OUTWIT. Throw in a skrull TA and plasticity. Thank GOD it's a common
2. HERCULES. A good-old fashion brick. What makes it better is that it can really put a BEATDOWN on an opposing fig. Charge-Flurry is SMOKIN' plus the plasticity PINS your opponent down and INDOMITABLE keeps him pummeling. WAIT til you see what it can do with HAYMAKER
3. SPIDERMAN. Cheap BEATDOWN piece. Flurry-3 damage at 50 pts makes it an automatic on any team with BT or swarm. Perplex its dmg to 4(or 5) then watch it take down those MONSTER pieces.
4. NAMOR. Flurry is something very popular in this SET. HEre's one of the best. A FULL DIAL of flurry. 18 D and 4 damage. High AV. CHeap at 150 pts.
5. DR STRANGE. BUILT in TRICK SHOT that cannot be outwitted. OUTWIT. Wildcard TA. Superperplex (if you're lucky). I still don't think it's TENTPOLE material BUT it's worth putting in a TEAM
Honorable Mention:
Didn't make it to my TOP 5 BUT GReat figs nonetheless
SR Gamora
FF Starter Mr. fantastic
FF Starter Doom

TOP 5 Crisis Figs
My initial thought was to exclude the TWO chase figs BUT since I included Sin-Bat in the Arkham Top5. I am compelled to include them here.
1. KC SUPERMAN. A lot of the guys PREFER this supes to the E2 Supes. Personally, I dont have a preference between the two(maybe becoz i dont have either ... HA HA HA). This fig is a MONSTER (not keyword) with its overall stat. So if u get ONE. KEEP IT!
2. E2 SUPERMAN. If you have been playing HCX for awhile and you see the STAT on this. There really is nothing to explain.
3. SPECTRE. The ONLY giant that gets CONSISTENTLY gets PT* on Constructed Tourney. Sure you can see it from a mile away BUT with its 10 Range it can do the SAME. The 'Q' TA saves you 25 pts from ADDING Fortitude. Hi DEF, Hi AV, Hi D. The Absence of DMG reducers at Mid-Dial is the ONLY weakness.
4. NIGHTWING. Lot of HYPE before CRISIS came out. Some people were disappointed BUT the figure is actually PRETTY GOOD. The HT-Nightwing was CHEESE during its time, so why are some people disappointed. 2 damage and leadership instead of perplex or outwit in the first slot. The HT-nightwing had 3 dmg and outwit ... so it means you have to completely play this fig completely. Have CON-PLAN or Bril-Tac on it (NEVER BOTH), keep it in the BACKGROUND. Its high DEF (19!) should keep it around. AND PLEASE use its Outsider TA
5. ROBIN. the TEEN THEME leader of CHOICE. ADD Bril-Tac andyou can do a lot MAGIC. Those future teen group (LoSH) benefits the most.
HONORABLE MENTIONs
Ralph macchio (Karate Kid)
Dawnstar (YES. This belongs to the top 5 BUT 6 is NOT 5)
Darkseid (would have been Top 5 without the Supes)
