Stats are up for Aquaman, Flash, Doomsday, Supes and Emperor Joker

Emperor Joker is a beast.
There seems to be an error on the stats of joker. His card says he has impervious but his dial shows he has willpower. So which is which?

Impervious would be a strong addition to joker. Add some mental shields and protected. If im not mistaken, sayang lang hindi puwedeng isama yung dissent with JOker's white power. Imagine outwitting everything your opponents' figs have. Powers and TA. :devious:

Pag ka alam ko ganun un ruling. Kasi un prereq ng stunning and ng dissent is a certain power. Yung white powers allows you to use a certain power but does not grants you the power. tama ba?

What I like with Joker is that the ATK white power can be useful if you want him to get on to his Giant Clix. Haha.

eto naman what i hate about supes.... isang beses pa lang ako nakakita ng magandang sculpt niya sa NGN at MoS pa lang.

Doc - I think its because he is the rookie aquaman - so he's not yet the ruler of atlantis.

Why not a dawg style keyword - "scales" :laugh:

As for doomsday - it seems you can only outwit his white power to cancel his use of invulnerability. You can't outwit the dial-stopping since it will not be showing on his dial until you deal damage to him.

If you use pulse wave on doomsday, will the "ignore powers" be in force up to the time you deal the damage? Or is it just for the attack portion of your turn?

Nope, this version of aquaman isn't the same aquaman from the old comics. He's a totally different person. He's not gonna be the ruler of the Atlantis, he's really from the surface world but since his youth he had to live in a special environment after his dad did some treatments to make him survive.

my 2 cents on Doomsday.

it would seem that Doomsday has a favorable matchup against other BEATStick since his WHITE power prevents them from DEALING large damage (hmmm ... now Supes won't be picking UP that blasted METEORITE on the first turn). My partner of choice with Doomsday. Tornado V.

I thought of that too - especially after my "shiny team" was abused in my last tourney. But like chong said, next two clicks are impervious! hahahaha. The effect is that it will take the whole match to kill him.

Imagine building a theme team around him - you need Brute/Monster keywords. So you would need SR Hulk, Abomination, rookie Knockout and Piledriver. Assuming doomsday has the superman enemy TA, he will get a free outwit from knockout.

SENTINEL! Bwahahahah Gotta love it:cool: You're right! It's the HUMAN Arthur Curry! I can't believe he took up a slot at the JLA SET as he's not even JLA. Dagnabbit! But his dial seems okay to me. LOVE everything about the Joker's card. I will pray for an errata making him TRULY a god. His white power should superceed the rules for the game. What part of Joker is God don't you understand? Hahahahahahahahahahahaha! ;) As for Doomsday, it's great to see him ACTUALLY without a TA as he was never really a team player (Team Buster is rather appropriate), thus beefing up his powers for the cost. Doomsday will definetely be pushable. His white power screams for MOE style of play before you get to the second SP.

pero remember... yung keywords gagana lng kung meh at least 3 figs ka with the same TA and at one fig every one hundred pts..


doomsday 260+ pts.. so para magkatheme bonus ka sa 500 pts e kelangan mo pa ng 4 other figs with the brute keyword if you go brutes or the monster keyword if you go monsters..

Yup. We may not have the stats, but from the pictures of the box art, it's confirmed we're getting Guy Gardner. I don't like the pose though, which is kinda lame considering all the poses we've seen the other GL clicks have.

Maybe if they didn't make his numbers that high, like the 18 defense and 12 movement, his point cost could've been cut down significantly even with Quintessence. He's just a support piece after all.

I guess they just want the transporters to have more adjacent spaces for dropping off carried figures. To simulate their teleporting ability maybe?

But if that's the case, why did they not do the same for Mirror Master?

It would have been nice if they made a clix of John Constantine as a 40 point or less cheap perplexer/outwitter. he is one of my favorite DC characters.

Thoughts on the sneak peeks:

Superman - Almost not quite... although will see some play and the bounce-back HSS is not to be ignored, Man of Steel is still a superior and cheaper piece... it's the lack of damage reducers that bring him down

Emperor Joker - Hail to the King baby! Although people are going to curse his name with being a common unique (i.e. Red Skull) he looks like a Blast to play

Aquaman - cheap and effective although the lack of Keywords means he won't see any "official" Theme teams.

King Shark - for 100 points, do not underestimate the King! That dial is solid for the points and Suicide Squad can surprise unwary players

Doomsday - just a wee bit over priced as he only has 2 slots of Move and Attack but on a 400+point team he's the beatstick of beatsticks (yes, he will wallop any Hulk any day of the week) Psychic Blast, Exploit Weakness, BCF, Pulse Wave, even Meteorite... not even 1 million damage will move him beyond his 3rd and 6th click! My only gripe is a lack of Regenerate! Also note that Unstoppable does not state "reduce"... it's "Stop". Slap a Armor Piercing, Life Model Decoy(so Armor Piercing won't work on him), Protected and Damage Shield and it will take forever to take him out.

All in all, I'm saving up for a Brick!

Zatanna's dial looks like a cross between Wiccan and Scarlet Witch - for the same cost as Scarlet Witch.

So who do you think will be the most used utility figure?

And Phantom stranger is by far the WORSE Quintessence figure. Hindi aabot ng 10 clicks yung buhay, sure may imperve and 18 def, but so does ganthet for a bit more points. I expected more for a character who couldn't be killed by the spectre.:angry: (but if i can get my hands on this sure why not...:p )

yup. there is a difference between "can use" and "possess". bottom line, if its a white power that let's you use said power and not saying that you possess the power itself, even if its an exact description of a non-optional power, it's still optional. (daming "power" nun ah. hehehe)

and embiggen says joker has the giant damage symbol. earthbound power states: "This character is grounded and has the boot speed mode instead of its printed speed mode. If this character is soaring when it gains Earthbound, this character is dealt 1 damage. This power may not be countered.". they're kinda different.

Is that already official? - with BIBTB Mandarin, you choose one of the powers listed on the "left hand" or "right hand". The wording also uses "and" instead of "or".

Nice, if this is for real at least GLC ain't about taxi-ing anymore. Sad to say though that most GLs are pretty expensive for regular games. So technically speaking you can only get up to a maximum of 2 bonus attack value in a 300pt game and that would have 3 GLs as a team (bad idea...:( ). I mean the cheapest GL is Ch'p other than that expect to pay 92 pts up. Interesting TA though. Speaking of which wala pa ba yung stats ni Guy Gardner?

3 actually. Guys like Kilowog and Tomar Re are less than 120 points. Ch'p and Katma Tui are under 90 points. Enough space for Protected and some cheap feats. :ermm:

Unfortunately, it does happen. And Art is right - it happens in every game.

Please consider though, that it is very disheartening to a newbie to be told that his figures are worthless - even if they are from a brand new expansion - while the figures from the older sets are so valuable that it is as if they are made of solid gold.

There are some figures whose values are consistently high - Marvel Zombies, KC Flash, etc. But other, more common figures like the commons in the Universe Packs can't possibly be valued at P100+.

Also, even if there is a bigger supply of the newer figures, valuing them too low is unfair. For example, Ultimate Iron Man - brand new, common. Even if it was a common, it should be worth more than the other common figures because it is a useful figure - maybe P80.00.

Granted, a certain amount of sales talk is expected, and as adults, we should be able to deal with that. All I'm saying is that we sould not be so....overzealous....in selling. This gaming community is not as big as the magic gamers, and I think that making the trading/selling too "business-like" will discourage people from playing.

To hitmanheart:

I'm a newbie and I've had some fantastic trades and purchases with some of the guys who play in galeria. I've also had an experience like yours with some people. My advice - just walk away. If there's a figure you like, just talk to more players. Eventually, you'll find someone who has the figure for just the right price.

When I tried to get Supergirl Exp (Origins), I was told she was worth P400.00. Later, I found another seller who sold it to me for P80.00.

Just keep looking - also, check the stores that sell heroclix singles - sometimes they sell good figures at a bargain.

It's difficult because of all the things that go into a negotiation - the demand for the fig, the rarity, the expense of having it shipped, the e-bay price, etc.

My best ever trade was one I had with Kim - we traded solely on the rarity of the figures and got what we each wanted - even if the figs were from different sets. :cool:

By the way Antonn - sorry, but I didn't pull Guy from the brick :knockedou I didn't even get Barda or duo Bats. :knockedou :knockedou

No biggie, I got them through trades with two very great and decent individuals:grin:. Although i only realized now that the Barda and Mr. Miracle figure is a dou character. (I likey Big Barda, she packs more punch than guy gardner.:p )

dude, what happened to you was not right. whoever this so-called "kupal" from galleria you are referring to was way out of line. pm cons or any of us galleria boys his identity so we can set him straight. if he already has a reputation for doing that, well it will just give us one more reason to subtly and not-so-subtly get back at him in the name of all the clixers he has duped in the past. Yes. nababalikan din ang mga shmuckers whether it be through the game or other ways.

but i think you should tone down the tenor of your posts. i understand that you're upset. but it's one thing to verbally attack the person who wronged you and another thing to indiscriminately attack everyone else in the group.

as a general rule, all of the clixers in our community are cool guys, whether they play in galleria, atc, g2 or any other venue. we play the game fairly and we trade fairly. a lot of times we even give each other figs for free, even those that are higher up in the rarity scale. hence, we will take offense when you dish out sweeping statements like "mga kupal ng galleria" and "mga 8-10 player na lang kayo dyan tpos pag may newbie gagaguhun pa nyo instead na tulungan nyo lalamangan pa niyo"

karamihan ng players sa galleria walang atraso sayo. in fact, some of them probably even sincerely befriended you when you were there. so cut them some slack. direct your anger at the proper recipient.

some of the galleria players actually responded to your post. but they were nice enough to be subtle and indirect. for my part, i don't think subtletly is the way to respond to you since your posts could not be any more direct and candid.

so to put it in a language you will understand -- ayus-ayusin mo yun mga post mo. mababait yun mga taong nadadamay sa mga hirit mo pero may katapusan din pasensya nila.

on a lighter note, it will be nice if you could drop by galleria again. hopefully, we will be able to show you that the galleria boys are generally a nice bunch. rest assured trades with most of us (e.g. cons, arthur, elvin, myself) will be fair or even in your favor (that is if you're still a newbie). i checked out your profile which says you are located in the US. hopefully if you're back to the Philippines you can take some time to drop by galleria again. take care
