I need help. I was cut off at the very end of Rescue Me when Tommy was at the bridge and Johnny's ghost was talking to Tommy about the baby. What happened. I tried to rerecord it last night and made the same dumb mistake. I don't want to wait for the DVD to find out how the rest of the episode ended. I'm sure Tommy didn't do what they tried to make us believe he was going to do. Someone please enlighten me.

The episode ended with Tommy holding the baby out over the water, decideing to let go or not (though it didnt look good for the baby-with-no-name)

Thanks, I know Denis Leary is trying to keep a dark tone to the show but I find it hard to swallow that Johnny's ghost would argue for that solution. Still looking at blurbs for next week I think Tommy doesn't do it.

I dont thnk they're ghosts, so much as Tommys imagination. I think he imagines thats what his brother would say, in order to justify his own feelings

Wow! What a hell of a season for season five! These people are the ultimate trainwreck. This last season has been a roller coaster.
I heard the sixth season will probably be it's last. Next season is going to be wild.

Close. What FX did is order 19 episodes that they're going to split into two seperate seasons. Season six will be ten episodes and season seven will be nine episodes. Kinda like what they did with the Shield in the final seasons.
That said, this season was good, but kind of disjointed. It seemed they were all running in place for the first half of the season, and then they quickly wrapped everything else up before the finale in order to set up the big cliffhanger.
