I know that there aren't many of us left especially following last weeks shellacking, but come on guys we can make up 17 games and win this thing.
GO ORIOLES!!!
Wow, first the Rangers, and now Tampa Bay. Sorry, Len -- not a good time to be an Oriole fan.
All teams have their ups and downs. I'm a Reds fan and it's been awhile since they put together a good year.
This just isn't Baltimore's season, is it. 30 runs allowed to Texas, no hit by Boston, 15 runs allowed and 17 runs allowed by Tampa Bay in 2 games. And that's just the last two weeks.
The Angels scored 18 runs today against them. The Orioles are 3-17 in their last 20. Except for Bedard, their pitching staff is a joke. I'm sorry len.

Last year is behind us and the new season is off to roaring start. This is the year that the Orioles take down the Yanks and the Sox to the surprise of everyone.

And the Mariners, to my misery.

If the season ended now, you would be correct. ;)
Seriously though, while it is a great feel-good story at the moment, it seems doubtful that they will be able to keep anything close to this continuing for the season. However, having endured through many seasons of knowing I was rooting hopelessly and rooting anyway, I send rep your way for being a true fan of your team and not jumping off the ship after these many, many years of Angelos-fueled frustration.

It would sure be a lot easier to admire Angelos' stance to not play the Yanks and Sox game of who can outspend who, if he didn't rake in the cash every year when he sells his players to them.
But even he can't kill my love for this team, they have become the Indians of Major league to me, the team with heart that will one day succeed despite their ownership and management.
At the risk of jinxing it and seeing a trade next week, at least we still have the best second-basemen in the bigs.

Who is this Utley you speak of, I am looking down the Orioles roster and I don't see him anywhere, disqualifying him from number one status. So I can only assume that you are the world's worst speller, it is spelled B-r-i-a-n R-o-b-e-r-t-s.

Just wanted remind everyone of the feat the Orioles accomplished that no one has ever repeated, picking off the side with Tippy Martinez. (http://swingandmiss.blogspot.com/2004/07/greatest-game-never-seen.html)

Well it looks like this season is officially a bust, but that doesn't mean the O's can't start revving up for next year. Next year it will all turn around and the boys will get their due, just you wait.
Orioles in 09.

There hitting is good. The problem is their pitching with only one starter who has below a 5 ERA.
