View Full Version : Time to Start the Music - The Muppets Mafia Game!

Okay, as folks know while I have some more indepth and "serious" Mafia games in the pipeline, and there are some other games going on right now, I thought it might be nice to have a more light-hearted, less complex version of the game to play during the "opposing phases" of the other games (e.g. - I'm going to aim to have Muppet Day Phase be Night Phase for the other games).

Star Wars is more than halfway through as well so this seems like a way to pick up a bit for players who look forward to having multiple games to get embroiled in "conniving discussion".

So, if anyone is interested in the Muppet Meets the Mob - aka: The Revenge of Doc Hopper! - this is the place to sign up for it.

I'm in too. My career as the ventriloquist was cut tragically short, so let's give the muppets a try instead! :)

And as a bonus, here's a little known random muppet fact. In the German-dubbed version of the Muppets, the "Swedish chef" is, for unknown reason, known as "The Danish chef" (translated from German, of course) :)

There's something appropriate about switching from Ventriloquist - toting around a "dummy" - to a Muppet. :)

Well, as noted, I'm going to try and run things so they "balance" against day/night phase of the other games as much as possible (as usually the Night Phase consists of PM'ing and then waiting around) and the Star Wars game is winding down. If you don't feel you have the time - though all your ah-ooga's would beg to differ :laugh: - I understand and no problem.

10 players so far; I can toggle the game to run with a variable amount but that's still a tad low so keeping open registration for a bit (I suspect some players are going to be freed up from Arkham Asylum and Star Wars soon).

Going to leave this open for a bit longer. While I could go with the current number, I admit a few more would allow for some fun extra roles and "surprises" plus I'm expecting a few more folks to "free up" as the other Mafia games end some Night Phases sometime tomorrow. Still, I'd like to start this week so it won't be too much longer.

And let's not forget about the Psychopath Pirate role, that has to try and hump a shovel while singing. People won't be expecting it at all.

Just jabbing you a bit, Stral as the ooga-booga's had already entered the conversation on this thread. :)

Anyway, I was going to be leaving "openings" through today anyway. I'll be trying to "balance" out the other games' Nights/Day phases but we'll see how/if that works.
