Hey, I'm totally hooked by these mafia games, and wanted to try my hand at one of my own.
So far I have 24 roles, which can be increased or decreased according to the amount signed up.
You will not have to have read the books to play, since it might stray from the plot of the books a bit, but having read them would be an advantage.
So, who's up for it?

I never even suggested as much. You got a problem with me, bring it up to me. Don't act coy or troll. Heck, I even gave ABF positive rep for his admitting that slamming Peers on the boards was uncalled for but you just decided to pick a fight this way? Traditionally this should have been a PM to you but you had no qualms making your view public, so I trust that's how you wish this.

I agree with Rokk, Pash, that was uncalled for. I was thinking that it stemmed from someone else's comment on the HeroClix Mafia, but I don't know for sure, so I used discretion, its the better part of valor you know.
Picking apart Rokk everytime you think theres an issue won't solve anything, if you have hard feelins or lingering upsetness, PM him about. I can guarantee that he's a man with a kind heart and a good listeneer. You might be able to pull something positive from the exchange.
What I do know is that there is too much angst around this place lately.

And you did excellent there. :) See, there's a game you made it through without being mod-killed. :grin:
(Though it was fun to sic "To Catch a Predator" on you. :laugh: )
Even if you don't want to play, you'd probably get some small enjoyment out of how many serial killers, roleblockers, and mafia would target me the first night, so you know you have no choice but to let me play. ;)
But seriously, running a game yourself is a different experience, and you might treat it differently than normal. I certainly wouldn't want you to NOT give it a shot.

Yeah, I know Rokk's a real person on here (i.e not a crazy), but that's why I took the whole mafia thing so badly. Everyone flew off the handle, and it just shocked me. Sorry.

Meh, it's okay, really. It's part of the game. If the mafia realizes that I'm not a part of the mafia, I think it's a natural course of action at this point to get rid of me.
Just as much as it should be a natural course of action for a tracker and a doctor to target me the first night.
I doubt a mafia would try it again. It'd be a serious tactical error.
And I'd be pretending if I said that it wasn't flattering on some level. :)
The game really should start with the day phase so no one gets killed before we start. Like how JasinB did it.

Hey, the Muppet Show started during the Day (and they were given ample opportunity to make use of powers then :) ). Folks just -really- seem to dislike the character of Scooter. :p

I think we should do a mix of what Peers did and what Jacin did.
Give us four hours to discuss things, get our heads straight, and figure out who's actively playing the game, and then go straight into night phase. Don't even allow a voting period.
The problem with Peers' game going straight into night phase is that it was easy to forget the game was even happening. I almost posted in it, because I didn't even think to look and see if I had been killed.
