View Full Version : Marvel Mutant Massacre Mafia?
Heh, sorry about the title, but I'm just a sucker for aliteration :)
Since Peers have just announced that his game is going to be put on hold, I figured I'd post this and see if there's any interest for one more game in an already overly crowded market :)
I posted back in Rokk's mafia game possibilities thread that I had a Mutant Massacre Mafia game all written up if there was any interest for it, so I might as well give it it's own thread.
The game will center around Marvel Comics "Mutant Massacre" crossover event where the sewer-dwelling Morlocks where nearly wiped out to a man by Mr. Sinister's Marauders. Knowledge of the event is not needed to play (but access to Wikipedia and a general knowledge about some X-men stuff couldn't hurt ;) ), so if you'd like to give it a try make sure to let me know.
Currently, the game is written with 25 roles and could be started as soon as they're filled, but as for the actual start-up date I'd probably wait until Jacin's Arkham game winds to a close (nothing definate yet of course, if people want to play immediately, who am I to tell them no?).
So, if you've always wanted to slaughter helpless mutants in the sewers, make a desperate last stand in the tunnels of your home or take up the mantle of the heroic X-men in this, their darkest hour, then now is your chance :)

I'm in. As for a start date, I'd prefer the earlier of (1) the end of JacinB's Arkham game or (2) the day that I'm arrested/lynched in that game (which hopefully won't come to pass). :p

Like I mentioned once in the Star Trek thread, I would love to do that. Thing is that the people on here are the closest I get to "knowing" people that share my hobbies. So there's no one RL I could go recruit to hop on here and play. As for the Realms, well, pretty much most everyone I could think of that would be good for this is already in the games.

Nah, no worries. There shouldn't really be any characters with speech impediments or riddling tendencies to worry about in this game. But there will be plenty of suprises, I can promise that!

And I killed you because I had to kill someone every night, and one of your first posts said "Hey, let's act like the psychos we are!" Random luck, really. I only got one more kill in before I got smoked by Carlos, so I didn't get that far. Hopefully I'll do better in this thing.
But if Gambit is in this game, my one goal will be to kill him.
If I get stuck with being that chump... all bets are off.

Since a whole heap of games just started up now, we might wait a little with this game (unless all the remaining roles suddenly gets filled, of course :) ). But it seems like the muppet game is approaching the end soon, and the Harry Potter one moves with alarming speed as well, so I don't think we'll have to wait long :)
Of course, if anyone knows anyone who'd like to play and who hasn't signed up yet, give them a friendly nudge and point them in this direction ;)

Ah, Biz was converted to the game after seeing the power of my Marauders theme team in action yesterday. Excellent.

Night 4 is over.
Deep down, the Phoenix knew that Travers was good. And at any rate, an enemy of an enemy was a friend. The mangled body had been hard to heal, the Phoenix spent a night and a day mourning.
Travers has been resurrected. The Vision is back in the game.
Travers felt it inside him that Voldemort was dead, and suddenly all the apprehension and anxiety flew from his body like a river. The Phoenix seemed to be his only ally, so he followed it.

Peeves was enjoying creating mayhem. He had fooled the whole castle on numerous occasions already. However, someone else got the last laugh. Killing a spirit was no problem for the Dark Arts of Bellatrix Lestrange.
Antipathy is dead. He was Peeves the Poltergiest, who was nigh unkillable.

Kingsley and Ron went out again, heading towards the Forbidden Forest.
Suddenly, a sound stopped them in their tracks.
"Who's there!?" called Shacklebolt, holding up his wand.
A vague outline of a person could be seen, although could not be recognised in the darkness of the night. An invisibility charm was being used.
A burst of red light errupted from an invisible wand, and just in time Ron called forth a shield of light, again protecting Shacklebolt.
Unsuccessful, the attacker left in a hurry.

Day 5 begins now.
There are 15 players left (8 is a majority)

In other news, I've just (randomly) assigned roles to everyone (except for the last two I'd still like to have filled), so as soon as we get two more volunteers, I'll send out roles to everyone. We still won't start officially until at least Jacin's Arkham game has finished, but that way anyone who has any questions about their role can get them out of the way before the game begins :)

Ok, PM's have gone out to most of the people who's expressed interest in early notification, and those who did who haven't gotten one yet will as soon as I get home and back on my own computer later today :)
Alright people, we've got 24 players signed up so far, so only 1 more is needed for the optimal goal of 25 players.

That one is closing with alarming speed. I know we're waiting for Arkham, but I'm strung out as it is right now.
And even though I'm only alive in 3 right now, the X-Mansion game could resurrect me any night, and I could get resurrected, in the event I die, in the Harry Potter game.

Since the Arkham game seems to be stuck in a Jacin-less limbo at the moment, some other games are moving towards the end game and it's getting rather late here, I will inspect the situation tomorrow and set a hard and fast start date for you all then.
So don't count on having to wait much longer now! :)

Alright people, since the Arkham game just ended it looks like we're just about ready and cleared for take-off.
I can still make up extra roles if there are anyone left who'd like to join up before we go on the air, so throw me a PM so I can fit you in if you're interested :)
Expect the official game-thread to go up in a couple of hours or so, and the official start of the game soon after that. I hope everyone is ready, for we're about to re-write Marvel History! :)
