Anyone play Socom 2 online?

Oh man, I used to. I was soo freakin' awesome at that game for a long time. You may have heard of one of my handles, he was rather Infamous..lol. His name: A Rotten Fart

When I wasn't in a serious mood, I'd log in with him and kill my own teammates with a Auto-Shotgun. Sure it was an arsehole thing to do, but man was it fun. Sides, I usually only did it to little punk 12 year olds who deserved it for talking smack, or jerks who used entirely too much profanity during the game.

My serious handle was MT Cerberus. Haven't played in about 3 years though...

Gah, I used to wear that game out as well. Had the same name on there as I do here. I was pretty addicted to it and SOCOM 3 for awhile, but then 3 turned into a Quick-Sniping glitchfest, so I quit with it....although I see they put out a patch for it just a few weeks ago..about a year too late for many of us.
I went back and played 2 one time one night and the first game I was in, I saw a guy doing that dive-and-get-back-up carp with a sniper rifle against a guy dancing around him with a M14. When I saw that the M14 guy couldn't kill this other dude at point blank range for a good 20 seconds and the other guy eventually shotgunned the dude with his sniper rifle, I just turned it off. 2 was probably one of the best games ever made for it's time.:ermm:

We were a huge group of players until everyone got tired of what Gacy was talking about. We are getting a pickup game on Socom 2 this Sunday in US West or US West 1. Otherwise we have shut down until the new game comes out.

Socom is still the best online game there is. I got my ps3 for Christmas and I can't wait for the ps3 version of socom. I playing COD 4 and it's not even close to what Socom has always been.

I just bought a headset today. I haven't logged onto Socom 2 since October. I bought the headset for Rock Band and decided it might be cool to use it for the intended purpose, i.e., Socom.

So here I go!

More power to you. I totally miss the days of playing SOCOM 2 all day/night. It's easily one of the, if not THE, best online multi-player game ever. It's a shame it's mostly Code-9er's and cheaters there now, but back in it's prime, nothing could beat it. Most games now don't beat it, but I'm curious to see how Confrontation pans out. It looks great, but I don't have a PS3, so it'll be awhile before I get to play it, if I ever get to play it.:ermm:
