View Full Version : Any interest in a JSA Mafia game?

Okay, I'm gonna preface this with a disclaimer:
I know there are about 5 games going on now, and another 2 or 3 getting set to start. This game WOULD NOT START until most or all of the current games ended or were winding down, and the ones already "on deck" get underway.
Okay, that said, I was working up a mafia game based around the Justice Society of America, and I wanted to gauge the level of interest. I'm not asking for commitments to play, just seeing who might be interested in the idea. Although, being an enlightened man of the 21st Century, I am not afraid of commitment.
The game would likely start in early october, after some of the current ones have wrapped up (since I'm in several of them) and the games on deck (Mutant Massacre and Cereal) have gotten underway. I have about 25 roles right now, and I'm still working them up to strike a fair balance in the play.
Okay, all that said, would people have an interest in a JSA Mafia game run by yours truly? Comments are appreciated. If you DO want to sign up and get in on the ground floor, I've got no problem with that, either.

Only if I get to be Dr. Mid-Nite.
Seriously, I'm very interested in a JSA game. The big trick is that right now there seems to be a bit of "low participation" in a few of the games and I'm not sure if it's because they're ones with fairly new people or due to "mind-fry from having played too many games of late". The usual suspects are more-or-less active so there would still be something going on but figure you should be warned.
Either way, sign me up (though I'm curious if you're counting the BtVS game in your 2-3 tally. :) )
Tooo be totally honest...
I was planning on just running with more DC games, and have a continuing story line, just like Peers did in his first two games.
And with soo many JLA'ers being dead, I thought the JSA might have to step up to the plate and defend our planet.
Not to spoil anything though.

Point well taken. If overall interest is dropping, I'll shave off roles as necessary. I had forgotten the BtVS game that was in the works, but that just delays this one a bit more if everyone is heavily committed. As I said, just determining interest level before I go and grind out all the little details. It'll give me time to perfect my balance of powers and such.

Well, you could always do some other DC comics team.

I'd certainly consider a JSA game. Maybe I can live past the second night some day, too.

Yeah, I guess it is appropriate though that Aquaman's "sleeping with the fishes". :cheeky:

You don't know how badly I want to have a giant seahorse show up on that thread to deliver my last message...

I would like it. One of you could run WW2 JSA, while the other does modern age. Just a suggestion.

Oh, hey, hadn't even thought of modern JSA. My mind just auto-kicked into Golden Age mode.

Know what else would rock for a JSA game? JSA: Liberty Files!

I highly concur with this. I just read it and loved it. Plus, we also get Batman. :)

It's DC, so I'd be interested. Like you said, it would DEFINATELY have to be after a few of the games have ended, though.

I'd like to play, when other games have finished.

I'll jump in if I get to be Vandal Savage.
I'm more of a JSA fan. Please don't start until maybe next week.

Sign me up, the JSA is one of my favorite teams of all time. I know more about the more recent JSA than the old school JSA but I can catch up to speed if needed.
