As you see, I'm toning down the title a wee bit. The last thread I started of this nature was about Concrete Blonde. At the time I started the thread I didn't know how to do links at all and couldn't share what I liked about that group until the thread was pretty old. Now I know how even if it's more work for me then all you computer genius' out there, but hey when I want to share the good stuff, it's a small sacrifice.
I was delighted to see several good links for this band and I can share with you several good links from YouTube. I hope you enjoy these guys as much as I have over the years.

Ladies and gentlemen; I present to you 10cc. Check out as many as you like at your leisure.

Whew, I only had to fix half of them. I loved this band for it's clever lyrics as much as anything else. I thought I'd present them to demonstrate a little of the diversity of the classic rock era. I hope you enjoyed these links.

They're ok, actually. So is that a mediocre ok or a likeable ok? I've always been blown away by their clever way with words. One of my favorite lyrics of theirs is from a song I couldn't find a link for called "The Worst Band in the World" that goes:

Up Yours!
Up Mine!
But Up Everybody's, That Takes Time!

But We're workin' on It.

These guys had a good sense of humor.

It's a good ok. As in "They're ok, actually!" *high pitched at the end*

Yeah, they have good wordplay and you can tel lthey have a lot of fun with the songs.

They're from my neck of the woods too.
So I suppose I should like them more than I do.

I will always love them for Dreadlock Holiday, purely because of the 2 many DJ's mash up where they put the acapella from Destiny's child - Independent women over it.

I tried to find a link but was unable. Hunt it out.

I first discovered 10cc while watching Don Kirschner's Rock Concert one night in the mid Seventies. They just released their first album and were on a double bill (I think) with Kansas who had also just released their first album. Either that or they were on within a week of each other. I went out and picked up both albums immediately. I found myself listening to the 10cc album constantly, it was such a clever fun album. (For the record that Kansas album is to me, their best work.)
Oddly the album by 10cc that I like best, I had to order as an import when I bought it as a CD. Sheet Music is the only one that isn't in circulation stateside. (at least at the time I decided to get all the 10cc material on CD.)
10cc will always be one of my favorite bands of all time. I was recently surprised to learn that one of them had written a major Yardbirds hit. "For Your Love" was written by Graham Gouldman.
