the serial killers and vigilantes... how they are "listed" when a cop target this character for investigation?

they are good? bad? neautral??

it is any rule or they just can go as werever the Mafia Director wants???

When people are targeted for investigation and their win condition is different from everyone else, I say that they are working against the majority.

I undestend. but "neutral" or "Bad" will be still be accepted, and even "good" will be right for a Vigilante. but not if the vigilante win condition is NOT win with the Town. right?

thanks!

That is a tough one...

Maybe allude to the fact that he's got a killing power? I don't know.

well. each game is a universe created by the Game Director. soo as long as it looks "right' for the character or/and the game/story I think will be all ok. (I think :p )

Could be a good place for dumb Mafia questions.

I'm trying to get a feel for how to make sure a game is balanced properly.

Vigilantes come up good.

Serial killers have come up "neutral" is several games here. I prefer this to serial killers coming up "bad" since being a serial killer is hard enough as it is. I like to mix "roughly good" and "roughly bad" within the neutral catagory.

The way I see it, if you're townie you're good. If you're mafia you're evil. If you're anything else, you're neutral. Vigilantes tend to be townies so they're good. Serial killers tend to be on their own so they're neutral.

I can't wait to everybody to sigh up to my game! I'm exited! Made a game looks like a lot of work but I really hope you all like it!

another dumb question!:

let's say what somebody have the power of track who target "Player 1". if some of the people who target "Player 1" were rolebloker what happen?

we considere what the bloked players actually "target" the "Player 1"? or because they fail the players who get bloked are considere what they NOT target player 1???

(I hope you get what I meant).

I think I get it. Here's what I would say. The Role-Blocker prevents the person from taking their action at all. If a cop targeted player 1 but was Role-blocked, he never made it over to Player 1 to actually target them. The person with the tracker power, in my ruling, would NOT see that the cop was a player who targeted Player 1 that night. In my estimation, you only actually target a person if you are successful in your action. Therefore, if someone trying to target player 1 was misdirected, I would also say they would not show up as targeting Player 1 (but they would show up as having targeted whoever they were misdirected onto).

I'd agree with the thought that a serial killer should registre as "neutral" to an alignment check (that's what I did in Mutant Masscre, Mikhail was considered a neutral character there). It makes it a bit easier for the serial killer, and increases the dilemma about Neutral characters for the good side (poor, poor Dark Beast! :) ).

A vigilante should always come up good unless he's also saddled with some kind of drawback that gives wrong information when investigated (again, Scaleface was Good/Morlock in my game).

As for tracking, a tracker should learn who actually got targeted by his victim, NOT who his victim wanted to target. If the player being tracked was roleblocked, the tracker should learn that he targeted no-one. If he was misdirected then the tracker should learn that he targeted whoever he ended up hitting instead of his original target.

Its always different. Sometimes the serial killers win when town wins, and are Good, other times they're neutral, however, they shouldn't turn up bad, otherwise they aren't a serial killer but in the mafia.
