I got the league made and set up. If you are interested in playing, send me a PM and I'll give you the necessary information. I'm going to look over the scoring and we can come to a decision on what we all would want.
It might be fun to hook the winner up with a prize or two, so if anyone wants to donate to the prize fund that would be sweet, I'll throw in a couple of LE's for the winner.

Glad to have you guys aboard, should be a fun time. And to get some dialog going: Who is everyone's favorite team?
My is the Pistons, grew up in Michigan during the 'Bad Boys' era: Isaiah, Bill Lambeer, Joe Dumars, John Sally, etc etc. There were some lean years but I was pleasantly shocked by the last championship. Thrilled to see some bench scoring (hopefully) for them this year.

I live in MI, I wouldn't say i am Pistons fan, but i watch a lot Pistons basketball and been to few of there games. I would like to see them not re-signing Billups and run a different type of Offense, but they did. I still think there problems is there center issues. Kinda dum they didn't go after one in off-season. I really like there draft pick, he is playing nice lets see what he can in Regular season.

Also I am a Warriors fans and have been ever since I was a kid. I grew up watching Mullin, Hardaway, Richmond and Owens and though I don't like Stephen Jackson even a bit, and I am bummed that they trade Jason Richardson, I will still be completely behind Davis, Harrington, Ellis and the boys.

Well, I think #1 is fine. I would RATHER do #2 online as well as opposed to off, since you can just autoset your preferences on Yahoo Fantasy Sports anyway. So if you can't make it, you're not penalized too much for not being there.
Me, I just like having the option of being there and mixing it up. :)

Head to head is the only way to go, it keeps you interested from week to week, as you always have a chance to come back (unless you pick Kobe).
I really like online, and I have always found that if a couple of teams are on auto pick it is actually an advantage as they can't second guess themselves or have a sudden moment of insanity. My schedule is pretty flexible, as long as we don't try to do it on the weekend.

Ive actually never done a live draft(only had 6 or 7 teams). I cant guarantee any certain time I'll be available because of night classes but my predraft rankings are set so I should be good. Either Head 2 Head or Roto is fine.
I'm from Illinois and grew up watching the Jordan Bulls. In the late 90s I grew to love the Knicks(Sprewell!) and Trailblazers(Sabonis!), though both of those once proud franchises have hit record lows the past few years:( . But the Bulls and Blazers are rebuilding so I'm optimistic.
There seems to be several Central Division state people here.

Online Draft is fine. Late evening if at all possible after 6 CST. Wednesday nights not an option though.

yeah I am definitely a sucker for drafting players I like, even when it goes against all reason. I just find it a lot more fun to freely cheer on players I like than to be torn between my fantasy team hopes and my basketball watching hopes.

Yeah, that's one of the weirdest phenomena that I've witnessed. But since the team I like sucks, I'm not drafting any of them. I'll just root for them and hope for the best.

The Grizzlies aren't that awful. Gay, Milicic, Gasol, If they were in the East they would be playoff contenders. They should have never let go of Battier though.

i've lived in NY for most of my life, I kinda sorta like the Knicks, there trying to be like Yankees and always trying to aquire the newest free agents and they would flop.

Me too, especially since I lived in SA for three years and had friends calling me during that series.
Well, at least we didn't get swept like most of the teams they faced that year.
And they really need Patrick that series. Someone that the Spurs had to respect in the low post, Cause Camby has no low post game and LJ was way too short to try and take it inside against Duncan or Robinson.
They did as well as I could realistically expect them too. Well, maybe one more win.

It sucks that I missed the draft. But I had good reason, so I can't complain.

Until I hear of a third team coming in for the deal, I don't see the Bulls matching the Lakers asking price (Deng, Gordon, Thomas). They're not going to gut their team for Kobe. They'd rather wait for him to become a free agent in 2 years then get him then.

I don't see the Bulls actively trying to get Kobe. It's more likely that the Lakers are actively looking for a place that will take Kobe and give the right talent back. Chicago has some nice players that many teams are interested in. They've also passed on opportunities to get the skills they needed, like low post scoring(Jermaine O'Neal, Zach Randolph were both on trading block), when the players are bad for the team off the court. Kobe has gotten in trouble with the law and has a selfish personality.
Chicago will not actively pursue unless their season seems to be going down the drain.

so how exacty does our league work? Can we switch guys from our bench during the week? and why to TO count as a stat.. shouldnt they be bad? Do we have to win the majority of the stats to win the week? when does the week start, and end?

Yup turnovers are bad, you win that stat list if your team as the least turnovers.
You want your team to win the stat categories. And you can switch players in and out for each day. And you have switch them out each day. You can set your lineup in advance if you can't do it daily.
Each week, starting on Monday the new week starts, and each new week brings a new match up. So it's Monday through Sunday for a match up. After Sunday's games if you win the most stat categories then you win the match up.

Scratch that, I had the teams backwards....but this makes even less sense. Nash scores 10 points and gets only 7 assists? Not bad I guess, but when the PG scores only 10% of the total team score I figure Nash would get more then 7 assists, since everyone else was doing the scoring.

All they need him for is trade bait. Jackson is a selfish player who takes bad shots at bad times, what the Warriors need is to go back in time and not trade away Jason Richardson. As a huge Warriors fan, I just hope that they can get it together before Crackson's suspension is over so that he doesn't fit in the starting five on his return.

I think the in our league the team in last place isn't playing his team... His Richard Jefferson and Rajon Rondo have been sitting on his bench since i played him in the 2nd week.. She a mod on this site and its her Bf's team...

I went a terrible 3 - 9 in the first 12 games and since then I have won 8 out of 9 so I am hoping that I can carry that into the playoffs.
I started hot, but had a rough patch going into the playoffs. We'll see if I can right the ship going here on out.

Im in a keeper and got offered jj putz and brian mcann for joe nathan and yunel escobar. My current catcher is kurt suzuki(so yeah I am hurting for a catcher) and while jj is DL'd he could be a force to reckon with. I got a solid team(save for catching). Yay or nay on the offer?

It's a great one that's for sure. Trying to work around the players that are resting (*cough*Boston,Detroit*cough*) definitely adds an extra wrinkle.

Good season everyone. Now I have 6 months to hope that my Warriors finally trade Stephen Jackson for someone a bit less selfish and a lot better at basketball.
