I'll say that it draws strongly on the modern group, but don't be surprised if we get some cameos from some oldies-but-goodies.

Although I'm not entirely sure how to play. I've been steering clear of the whole web-mafia deal, so I guess I'm behind the curve. I know how to play Mafia, just not on the Internet.

Edit: Oh, and if we get to pick what character we are, I want to be Hourman.

I'll jump in under two conditions:

1) You start this one later. I am currently in JLA 2, waiting on DBZ, Zombies and BttF AND running Villains United. It's what you might call a "full plate".
2) I get to be Starman. And i'm talking about the cool Starman that's crazy but still awesome.

So, yeah, i'm in.

1) You, sir, have yourself a deal.
2) Cool crazy Starman just might have an appearance, and you just might get lucky enough to be randomly assigned the role. That'd be.... double crazy!

You can call whoever you want. The roles will be assigned randomly, however, and "dibs" will have no real bearing on it. Best bet is probably to just keep your fingers crossed.

Is it some kinda record? I dunno. But I have filled all of my already created roles in less than 12 hours. HOWEVER, as I stated, I have other roles that have come to me since then as fun possibilities, and I don't want to leave anyone out. If anyone else wants to sign up, I will certainly take more people on, and I'll be brewing up some more roles. Once we reach a certain point, I'll have to cap it, but sign-ups are still open for now.

Okay, the roles are written, and the have been doled out. I gotta say that I am very excited to run this one, now that I've been running Mega Man and I know what its like.

Sign-ups are closed! Its official!

Also, this game won't be starting until at least after JLA 2 and Mega Man finish, so it could be a little while. HOWEVER, if you want to know your role so you can stew with excitement, I am willing to send them out. You must follow 2 rules, though.

1) If you have a role that allows PM'ing of other players, please do not do so until the game has actually started. Its tempting, I know, but you'll have to wait.

2) You have to forgive me if I send you your role a 2nd time closer to game start, because I might not remember who I sent them to.

If you can agree to those rules, I am willing to inform folks. I will be sure to PM people when the game's actual start time is getting closer.

I actually have an extra role that I was holding just in case, but to make it fair I'll shuffle you in among the unsent roles, so no one can be sure you got the extra. Besides, you're a local. Well, I was born in Jersey, and then I lived in both Pa. and Georgia before moving to CT, so I should be a Giants or Jets fan first, followed by the Eagles or the Steelers, then the Falcons, and finally the Pats (who aren't even in CT). Thus, my roots are very confused.

I can't even imagine the system you've got to run Buffy. I will say that any advice you can give on running the game would be a big help. Maybe I'll start a thread...

Okay, several things:

1) Roles should be going out today to those who haven't gotten them yet. If your name is on page 1, expect your role sometime today.

2) PM me with any questions about your role before the game starts, if possible.

3) I am traveling from Wed. thru Sun., with the main event being a friend's wedding on Sat. I am posting this info on this thread so if it comes up in the games I'm in, it doesn't seem like a cross-game orchestrated lie to cover myself. I'll have some opportunities to be on the internet, but not as frequently as usual. If you PM me about this game and I don't answer right away, that's why.

4) When I return on Sunday night, the game thread will go up and we will open for business. I figure by that point my other game will be small enough for me to manage along with this more massive behemoth of a game.

5) Remember that my game is not in continuity with anyone else's game. Characters who were in other games may appear in mine, and their powers are likely not the same. Of course, there might be no crossover at all. This is unlikely, but possible.

That is all at this time. Everyone please continue getting psyched up.
