The standard rules blurb, modified from the SSB game thread:

Things to remember NEW PLAYERS MUST READ

1) A full writeup of the rules can be found here (http://www.mafiascum.net/). This game will be more complicated than what's described there, as nearly everyone has some sort of 'special thing' about them. Doesn't mean everyone has a night power, but you never know...

2) When you vote, please do so by saying Vote: [Player] in bold. If you wish to change your vote, please say Change Vote: [Player] instead. Voting for 'Nobody' is a valid vote; if a majority votes for 'nobody' then nobody will be lynched and we'll move on to the Night phase.

3) If your role says you -may- PM me a target, you don't have to do anything at night. Even so, it'll speed things along quite a bit if you'd still just send me a PM saying "Not using my [whatever] power tonight, thanks."

4) If your role says you -must- PM me a target, and you do not? I'll pick one randomly. Or, perhaps, not-so-randomly. Don't blame me if you target someone who kills you.

5) You may NOT send a PM to anyone about this game (except me) unless your role explicitly says you can. This is cheating.

6) Do NOT edit your posts in this thread. This is cheating.

7) Please do not copy-and-paste anything from any PM I send you to the thread. This is also cheating.

8) Please do not post in this thread after you are killed. This, too, is cheating and can ruin the game if done wrong.

9) Cheaters don't get to play in any other Mafia games I run. Period.

10) Remember, it's just a game. You will get paranoid, you will be stabbed in the back by someone, you will see somebody do or say something stupid and want to smack them. Just breathe deep and relax. If things get out of hand, we do have a mod playing who will forcibly remind you to chill out if needed. It hasn't happened yet, and I'd like to keep it that way.

***BEACON LOCK-ON ESTABLISHED***

Your systems suddenly brought back online and your programming driving you onward, you hurry through the warrens of the techno-castle which is your home and into Dr. Wily’s laboratories. As you race to respond to the distress call, you see familiar allies deploying from their own storage cells. You enter the lab, where you see a slight figure in a white coat, which is rapidly staining red. He is slumped over a large, box-like object. Wires, some cut, are attached to the object, and the man in the coat is holding a pair of wire cutters in his nerveless fingers.

You rush to the man's side to examine his wounds, cursing the fact that flesh and blood make for poor armor. The pale, wild-haired figure looks up at you, and struggles to speak.

“My… my precious Robot…Masters. I tried to save… you… I fear I’ve failed…. You must…get my…. re…re….venge….”

With that, the wild-haired man who has been like a maniacal father to you shudders and slumps down.

DarkCorsair is dead. He was Dr. Wily, mad robotics genius and would-be ruler of the world.

Seconds after Wily draws his final breath, the box underneath him begins emitting a low humming sound. There is a high pitched whine, and a powerful electromagnetic pulse blasts out in all directions. Your world goes white as your systems surge from the overload….

You should be permanently offline, your programs scrambled and erased. But Dr. Wily’s final act was to partially disarm the device, limiting its blast power. Your back-up systems come online a short while later. Your core memory is still partially intact. Dr. Wily, your creator, is dead. He has a small, round wound in his chest, and the hole has been blown clear through him. Someone here is responsible for killing him, but your recognition programs have been damaged by the pulse. You can’t remember who these other individuals are, and any of them could be out to get you. With their EMP bomb a partial failure, it’s likely that the killer is…or killers are… still among you. You all move off in different directions throughout the castle, your threat recognition systems working overtime.

Night 1 has now begun. PM me with your night actions. If you have a “may do” night action that you are choosing not to use, please PM me with that information as well. The night phase will end at approximately 6 PM EST on Monday.

Night 1 – The death of Dr. Wily was still fresh in everyone’s memory banks, and the night that passed would not end without violence. But who would pay the price…?

In a secluded area of the laboratories, one robot prepared to go about his business. Suddenly, there was a brief flash of light. He glanced around and saw nothing. Shaking his head, he continued his preparations. A few moments later, during a routine systems check, he discovered his internal clock was about a minute behind. Perplexed, he corrected it and headed out into the warrens of the castle.

In the warehouse, a sly looking presence was creeping among the crates, hoping to catch a glimpse of a certain target. Hoping for a better vantage point, he hopped up on a low red crate. Immediately, the crate gave a clicking sound. The sly fellow glanced down, and realized that this was no crate! The “crate” suddenly shook as a spring popped out of the top, hurling the sly presence straight up through a skylight and a good distance away from the castle. Dazed, he picked himself up and began the walk back.

Meanwhile, the red “crate” popped out its legs and walked off, smugly satisfied.

Elsewhere, a hulking figure recharged briefly in his room before going out to find the one he was looking for. He strode confidently out into the hallway, where he stopped suddenly. The entire hallway outside his room was overflowing with translucent bubbles. His relatively dim mind processed the information slowly, and he finally chose a direction and moved in it.

Near the edge of the mass of bubbles, a small green figure laughed at the site of the hulking robot standing aimlessly. Little did he know that another presence was observing him from the air ducts supplying this area of the castle. The green figure saw the large brute lumbering his way, and hastily retreated. As he tried to slip around the corner, he was spotted by the lumbering behemoth, who decided that the funny green man was as good a choice as any to follow tonight.

A lone robot made his way through the laboratories, his relatively small size giving him a level of stealthiness despite his bright blue color. He was looking for someone in particular, but he had to navigate these complex facilities with care. Catching a glimpse of movement, he made a dash for the far door, but it suddenly slammed shut on him.

A familiar whistle echoed through the room, and a red shape, known to the blue man, emerged from behind a concealing screen.

“Well, well, little brother, I didn’t expect to find you here. I admire what you’re trying to do, but I’m afraid I can’t let you go until I find out if you’re tough enough to make the cut.”

With that, the red robot went on the offensive, firing a barrage of energy pellets. The blue figure responded with rapid evasion, sliding under a table and returning fire. The two combatants, evenly matched, succeeded in destroying the entire lab in short order without actually landing a hit on one another. The red warrior raised a hand, calling a halt to the battle.

“I see you’re stronger than I ever gave you credit for. I like your style, little brother. Let’s see if we can’t finish this together. Now, let’s get out of here before we draw some curious onlookers.”

With that, the blue and red figures, who looked so much alike, shook hands and moved off together into the depths of the castle.

His job done for the evening, the graceful red robot padded his way back to the designated meeting area in the warehouse. His journey would never be completed, as a high-pitched whine sounded from above him, and his right front paw was separated from his body by a whirling razored disc. Looking up, the robo-dog caught a glimpse of a red and yellow robot crouching on a pile of crates. A wicked gleam showed in the attacker’s eye, and he laughed a cold, dry laugh.

“What’s the matter, boy? Did you really think you’d go unnoticed? I wanted to send a message to your master, and I think I just found the perfect way to do it!”

With that, the red and gold assailant leapt high into the air, unleashing a flurry of buzzsaw discs. The razor edged blades buried themselves in the helpless hound, who went offline with a metal disc wedged between his eyes.

A short while later, the lifeless pooch was found by a figure all in white, who knelt down beside him to determine the damage done. Lost in thought, he did not hear the approach of feet behind him.

“What happened?!?” a voice cried out.

Startled, the figure in white reflexively spun and fired a blast from the energy lance he was carrying. The beam punched through the chest of the red robot, obliterating his power core instantly. The light went out of his eyes, and he dropped straight to the floor. The figure in white stiffened, realizing what had just happened. The speaker, a figure armored in blue, could only look on in horror. Then, realizing nothing could be done, they proceeded without a word back into the hidden recesses of Wily’s fortress.

Rokk_Krinn is dead. He was Proto Man, who only wanted to make his little brother better, and whose fate was sealed in a bizarre series of circumstances. Alignment: Neutral

Day 1 begins now! It will last until 6:30 PM EST on Tuesday night, or until a majority is reached! With 13 active players, 7 is a majority.

I ask that dead players not post on the thread (except Rokk, who can make one comment about forecasting his own demise)

A hunch is meaningless. If you have concrete evidence come out with it, and the doctor will protect you.

yeah most of the time the first cop/tracker to come forward is usually protected by the doctor,.... now if you have limited powers as a cop/tracker the doctor should still protect you until someone with better skills comes out :)

After clearing it up with DarkCorsair and understanding the rules a bit better, here...

Last night, I targeted JKLantern as my night power(I can investigate and learn things about others). He gave someone a misdirected someone. Whether it was the enemy he misdirected to help us out, or it was one of our own in order to kill one of us off, I don't know.
Well, then that wasn't usefgul. for future reference, if you have an info power do NOT role claim unless you have good info.

This also majorly screwed JKL. No the mafia knowsto kill him because he has a useful power.

This was bad for the townies

This isn't information about who to lynch, but a thought I had about the way things are worded:

What if there are no mafias?

Stay with me on this one. What if DarkCorsair, instead of setting up a group of townies and a couple mafia people, set up two COMPETING groups of townies, each side having a couple of killers, role blockers, whatever. Certainly makes for an interesting group dynamic, and it would force us to change the way we think about the game a little.

Day One is Over!

The survivors of the first night's activities mulled over what they knew as the day went by. No one was sure who to trust, or how many sides there were out there. As the sun began to set, some amount of suspicion was pointed toward one figure who had been talked about earlier in the day, but nothing came of it.

As the sun settled below the horizon, the remaining individuals all went their separate ways to pass another night. Each hoped it would not be their last.

Night 2 begins now! It will last until 6:30 PM EST on Wednesday, or until all PMs are in. If you have a "may use" power that you'd rather not use, let me know that too.

Night 2 is over!

The denizens of Wily’s Castle all went out on their own, but two of their number in particular would be focused upon, much to their… brief…. dismay.

The red and gold warrior was invigorated by the previous night’s success. He hoped to duplicate his feat with another successful ambush. He knew which hallway he would find his next victim down. He could sense his target’s presence just around the next bend, his processors running all the targeting solutions in rapid simulations. Jumping around the corner, he landed in a huge cloud of bubbles which filled the entire hall. Remaining perfectly still, he listened, and his patience was rewarded. The clunk of footsteps came from up ahead, and he let fly with a razor edged disc. Not waiting to see the result of his attack, he quickly retreated back the way he had come.

A medium-sized box-like robot marched on, heading into and through the bubble cloud. He was muttering about people not listening to him. He continued marching and muttering until a perfectly thrown razor disc neatly sliced off his head. After that, he was very quiet and very still.

A few moments later, a red and black blur came through the bubble cloud and approached the fallen box-bot with astounding speed. Realizing this robot was done for, he shook his head and moved off just as quickly. Shortly after this departure, a sly looking figure peeked in on the fallen box robot as well, and looked disappointed as he quietly left the scene.

Elsewhere, the largest of the survivors made his way ponderously through the corridors. He had made up his mind about who he would keep an eye on tonight. He couldn’t have known that he would never make it there. An energy blast was fired at close range into the back of his knee. As the behemoth staggered backwards, his assailant executed a perfect slide between his legs. The last thing the hulking figure saw was a smaller blue robot leap up into his field of vision and fire an energy pellet right between his eyes.

The blue robot nodded at the figure in white, who had accompanied him this evening. He quickly stepped forward and flipped open the behemoth’s primary access panel. He removed the basic programming memory module and handed it to his companion. He then placed a small charge directly against the central processing unit. He gestured for the blue robot to step back, and then moved away himself. The fusion charge went off with a small hiss, fusing and melting the large robot’s internal systems into useless slag.

After the two assailants had left the scene, another figure stealthily approached the fallen giant and carefully observed him. Though his robotic face displayed no overt emotion, an air of disappointment surrounded him as he slipped away from the scene.

Finally, one large and colorful robot was searching methodically through the warehouse storage. Opening crate after crate, he seemed frustrated (if robots can feel that) at what he found, or rather couldn’t find. In a surge of anger, the robot sunk his fingers into the warehouse floor, pulling up a chunk of the concrete foundation. His anger vented, he stalked off into the recesses of the castle.

Biz567 is dead. He was Heat Man, the angry toaster oven who wanted people to listen to him. Alignment: Robot Masters

DocDoom187 is dead. He was Hard Man, heavily armored brawler who was looking out for his smaller allies. Alignment: Robot Masters

Day 2 begins now, and will last until about 7 PM EST on Thursday, or until a Majority is reached. With 11 players active, 6 is a majority. PMs are going out now to give results.

Okay, so if my theory is right, there is no mafia that can PM each other. Instead, we have one group of townies whose win condition is to eliminate all threats to it, and a second group of townies whose win condition is to eliminate all threats to it. Instead of having one small organized group in which all the members know who they are, we have somewhat more random killings.

Of course, this could all be a load...

DAY 2 IS OVER!

Those fortunate enough to survive the previous night glared suspiciously at the one who seemed not sure of whose death to celebrate. They surrounded him in an angry circle.

"You must be here to kill us! Look at you! You're not even built by Dr. Wily!"

They tried to restrain him with ropes, but the giant pair of scissors he launched from his head made short work of the lassos. He called out to the mob, saying he was mistaken, and his programming was old and damaged by the EMP bomb. But the mob would have none of it. A storm of signature weapons fired in a single salvo, and the sly looking robot fell to the ground, not to rise again.

vicious x is dead. He was Cut Man, one of Mega Man's oldest foes, and a little confused by the whole situation. Alignment: (Original) Robot Masters

It seemed to stretch on forever, but at last...

Night 3 is Over!

A small green figure crept through one of the long hallways between the labs that had been the sight of so much action before. Hearing a sudden sound, he glanced around and saw a black and red blur zipping down the hall. Was it coming at him? He couldn’t be sure. Reflexively, he let fly with a mass of bubbles, filling the hallway yet again with the obscuring cloud.

At the far end of the corridor, a red and gold figure also saw the fast moving blur race down the hall, but lost sight of it as the cloud of bubbles erupted. His targeting systems calculated the likely trajectory, and he cocked his arm to hurl another of his deadly metal blades. His aim was spoiled, though, by a sudden energy blast to the back of his arm. The blade caromed wildly off the wall and buried itself in the floor. Before the red and gold warrior could react further, another blast hit him in the back of the head and he fell senseless to the ground.

The blue robot walked over to the fallen warrior and examined him carefully. He then detached the disc throwers attached to either side of the warrior’s arms.

Moments later, a dark and stealthy figure made his way down the hallway and over to the fallen red and gold robot. He cursed silently. There was hope, though, since his target was not taken offline permanently, at least this night. Once again he had begun his investigation in his target’s room and had arrived too late to witness the attack. Stepping back into the dark corner of the hall, he snuck away as mysteriously as he had arrived.

The largest of the remaining survivors was going about the same business he had been for several nights now. He was rummaging around, this time in one of the labs. He heard some commotion from the hallway and considered investigating, but then something in the closet he was searching caught his eye. As he scooped it up, a fast moving blur burst through the door, bubbles flowing in its wake. Before he could react, the blur was gone again, headed out the other side of the lab at an incredible pace. Hoping he hadn’t already drawn too much attention, the large figure scooped up his find and crept to a safer place as carefully as his significant bulk would allow.

Night 3 has ended, and everyone is still functioning. With 10 players remaining, 6 votes will be needed to reach a majority. PMs are going out now.

I'm running a Starro event tomorrow, and realize some people may be playing in events or not have easy weekend access. This Day Phase will continue until the end of the day on Sunday, or until a majority is reached.

Anyway I was misdirected. And now I can't kill cos my blades were stolen, so I'm over it.

The only person that was lynched was vicious_x, after he said he was a Hero, then claimed he mis-read and said he was a Robot Master. It looked like he was covering his back after thinking the heroes were the townies, and was therefore lynched. However, he turned out to be a Robot Master. :ermm:

I'm wondering what the alliance of the Original Robot Masters are compared to everyone else. In the original game, they were robots built by Light reprogrammed by Wiley, but returned to their original programming at the end of the game.

No it doesn't.

When you random lynch, the lynchee could step in and defend himself, and as a last resort role-claim. That way you can narrow down who are the bad guys without killing anyone. However, when random vigilantering the person who's killed can't defend themselves and the risk of killing an innocent is much greater.

Night 4 is Over!

The large survivor looked around through yet another warehousing area. He hadn’t found everything he needed just yet. He tore open another large crate to see what was inside. Once again he brushed away the cloud of greenery that seemed to be following him though the castle. He didn’t remember seeing any trees outside the castle, but there were leaves aplenty. Reaching into the crate, he found something that made him smile. Now THIS he could put to good use. He just needed to decide how best to go about it.

The small green and white figure who had caused so much mayhem before chuckled to himself as he finished filling yet another room with translucent bubbles. Tonight would be better than ever, since tonight his target would never realize what happened until it was too late. Just to be sure, though, he would fill a few extra passageways. As he wandered past a storage closet, there was a bright flash. The scene became surreal, with bubbles suspended in mid-air and the green robot frozen in mid-step. A blue and white robot, looking somewhat tired, peeked out of the closet and took a long look at his target. Satisfied with what he saw, he quickly slipped around the corner. A second later, there was another flash, and the green robot continued on his way, apparently unaware of and unaffected by the events that had just occurred.

Reaching the end of the hallway, the green robot spun in place and began filling the corridor he had just passed through. He was so intent on his work that he never saw or heard the assailant that approached him from behind. Before he could react, his primary access panel was forced open and his main CPU was expertly sliced out. He fell to the ground, bubbles pouring sporadically out of his arm cannons. Finally, his ammo exhausted, he was very still.

The sprawling mass of bubbles would prove to be an inconvenience for several individuals tonight. A silver robot found himself in the cloud, unsure of where he was going. The dark, stealthy robot shimmying through the air ducts also found his progress slowed, but not stopped. Finally, a blue armored robot found himself standing amidst the cloud. He touched a control on his arm panel, and his colors shifted to a red and gold motif. Down his arm, a blade slinger deployed, its wiring cleverly jury-rigged into its new owner’s circuitry. Hearing the sound of his target through the bubble cloud, he let fly with his new toy, and sharp metal blades zipped through the air with the sound of a buzz saw.

The silver robot heard the sound coming his way, and reacted the only way he really knew how. He jumped to his left, and, at the exact same time, deployed a duplicate of himself which leapt to the right. Both silver robots fired as they dove, blue laser beams slicing through the bubbles in all directions. A moment later, everything was silent. The only sounds were the popping of bubbles, and then a metallic thud as the silver robot on the left fell to the ground, a blade buried deep in his chest. The silver robot still standing realized that the incoming fire had ceased, and took the opportunity to slip away.

JKLantern is dead. He was Bubble Man, a fish out of water who did his best to frustrate his foes with what was ultimately a pretty lame weapon design. Alignment: Robot Masters

Also, lying motionless in one of the labs is the corpse of Gemini Man. In his case, though, once is not enough. He may yet make a difference in the course of events.

Day 4 begins now. I am travelling over the next day, and am not sure when I will be able to check the page. It should be no later than Thurs. morning. That said, the deadline for voting will be 8 PM EST on Wed. With 9 players left, 5 votes is a majority. PMs are going out now.

The Day Has Ended!

Another quiet day passed at Wily's Castle. The inhabitants, it seemed, were quite willing to let their fates be decided after dark. Who, if anyone, would come to regret that decision?

Night 5 has ended

The robots still dwelling in the castle began to realize that their numbers were dwindling. This night would be no different…

The dark and stealthy robot maneuvered his way quietly through an air duct, checking through the grates for a sight of his target. He moved through a section of duct crossing over a hallway, when the ground erupted around him to a mass of weapons fire coming up from below. Falling out of the duct, he landed nimbly on his feet and glanced around. Sensing movement, he threw a half dozen star-shaped metal projectiles in a fan pattern in front of him, but heard nothing from the enclosing shadows. Realizing his mission was compromised, he retreated for this night.

The blue robot watched his target retreat, and then picked the star-like weapons out of the wall. Maybe he could use these…

Elsewhere, the rapidly moving red-and-black blur made its way around a bend in the corridor and glanced in one of the rooms as he zipped by. As he moved on, though, his legs were suddenly severed at the knee by a nearly invisible line of razor wire. He hurtled through the air and crashed into the wall. The figure in white stepped out with an energy blaster in his hands and swiftly finished off the boomerang-toting scout robot.

Finally, in one of the quiet corners of the castle, a robot was sitting alone when he realized that his clock had fallen behind. He barely noticed, though. Nothing trivial like that would bother him now. He was too preoccupied with other, more important things.

I don't have any powers that can help at all. It also hurts that we have no idea if it's all of us vs Mega Man and Dr. Light or if it's Old vs New with Mega and Light as a seperate faction. Our GM hasn't exactly been clear on that. Then again, none of us seem to have asked him directly.

Well, on the one hand I am a sneaky guy, and on the other hand we didn't have a huge number of players from the get-go.

All I know is that my gut tells me maybe. The easiest solution, of course, is to get yourself to a place where your victory condition seems to be fulfilled, and then see if you won. If not, you gotta kill some more people. :cool:

Now, I doubt that my choosing him and being roleblocked is more than a coincidence, but honestly, we gotta do what we can.

If anyone has any evidence to help along, or any suspicions or anything, then share!

Or, if we just want to weed out quiet ones, then discuss it. Don't leave everyone in the dark by not posting on the thread, let's actually have a real town meeting.

Wily's Castle is witness to another sunset, as the day draws to a close. Today was livelier than many prior days, but the inhabitants of Wily's fortress could not reach a majority. No one has died today...

Night 6 has ended!

The blue armored robot and the figure in white held a brief conversation, and decided it would be best to stick together tonight. They set off at a brisk pace through the castle to find their intended targets.

As they moved past a long row of crates, the blue robot suddenly spun and fired a volley from the blaster in his arm. One of the crates sitting high on the pile suddenly exploded in a shower of splinters, and the dark, stealthy robot leapt into the air. He nimbly avoided the assault, but knew that his cover was blown. His shuriken counter-attack was half-hearted since he was already off-balance. Tossing a smoke bomb, the robot retreated. The blue robot once again scooped up the shurikens and tucked them into an arm compartment.

As the two figures moved on, there was a sudden flash of light. Both were frozen in mid-step, and a small blue-ish robot came out from behind a crate. He glanced carefully at the other blue robot. So intent was he on his study that he failed to notice the figure in white was actually still moving. As soon as the small blue-ish robot was within arm’s reach, the figure in white lashed out with a taser-like object, stunning him.

“I’m sorry to have tricked you,” the man in the white coat said, “but you must realize that I know most of Wily’s tricks by now, and can neutralize them.”

With that, the white-coated man placed an overload bomb in the paralyzed robot’s access panel. He and the blue robot, now unfrozen, stepped back as the device went off. The blue-ish robot cried out in his death throes.

“You fools! You destroyed my limiters! I can’t control the power…..!!!”

There was a tremendous flash…

Webheadman is dead. He was Flash Man, who was making the best of a very draining power. Alignment: Robot Masters.

Night 6 has ended! Day 6…. is also over! The tremendous time altering powers of Flash Man’s surging generator have caused time to leap ahead! Night 7 begins now! You have 24 hours to get your PMs in to me!

Night 7 has ended (and so soon, too!)

Tonight… yes, tonight would be the night to act again. At least, that’s what the red and gold warrior thought. He had long ago equipped his spare blade launchers, and his “lame duck” act was over. He swiftly left his room and moved into the warehouse area. He spotted his target digging through a pile of crates, searching for something. Well, his search was about to end. The warrior prepared to hurl his signature metal blade.

His attack would never happen. A small energy blast caught him in the back, and he staggered forward. He spun, seeing a blue robot looking down the barrel of his arm cannon. He tried to counter-attack, but the blue robot shot the blade right out of his hands. It was then that the man in the white coat fired his energy lance, piercing the red and gold warrior clean through. The blue robot walked over and once again detached his fallen foe’s blade launchers. The white-coated man motioned that they should go, and they left.

Far above, perched atop the crates, a shadowy figure watched…

Amora’s_Best_Friend is dead. He was Metal Man, master of metal blades who came out of “retirement” on entirely the wrong night. Alignment: Robot Masters.

Day 7 is over! At 3:54 PM, a majority was reached!

The robots circled around the white coated figure. Sweat dripped from his brow. Sweat?

"Hey! You aren't even a robot! There's no way you're a Robot Master!"

With that, the vicious mob had their revenge.

Night 8 has ended. And what a night it was.

The blue robot sighted along the barrel of his arm cannon. His target was there, moving slowly and blissfully unaware of his impending doom.

The targeted robot wandered down the hall. Was he looking for something or someone, or just enjoying the night? It didn’t matter. His wanderings took him closer to the blue robot. Suddenly, he pitched forward, through a gaping hole in the floor. As he fell, he heard the sound of an energy cannon firing, and his thermal sensors registered the passage of a heat source over his head. He was untouched, though, and landed relatively softly in a pile of leaves.

The silver robot had been headed down the hall. He wanted a word with the stocky robot wandering ahead. Suddenly, the stocky robot dropped from view. The silver robot had about 1 second to ponder that before the energy pellet ripped a gaping hole in his chest. His final thoughts ran through his mind. “Two down, none to go…” And then his world went dark.

In the basement, the largest remaining robot was laughing to himself. He didn’t know if his jackhammer antics had caused any trouble, but at least the hole sure was fun to make.

The stealthy robot, the only survivor unaccounted for, was unmolested this night. He infiltrated his target’s room and took stock of what was there. When he found a file on his target’s computer labeled “The Plan,” he couldn’t believe his luck. Copying the information, he slipped out. Of course, he left no trace of his presence…

Hot_fusion is dead. Again. This time for real. He was Gemini Man, and was also Gemini Man, two robots working as one. Alignment: Robot Masters.

Day 8 begins now. With 4 players left, 3 votes are required to make a majority.

The few survivors gathered around one of their number.

"You've been breaking into our rooms! And spying on us! You can't be trusted!"

"Back off!" the stealthy robot cried. "I know kung fu!"

But all the martial arts in the world couldn't save him from his grisly fate.

The Final Night is over, and so is the game!

Mega Man had missed his target the night before. He would not fail again. His stocky target was meandering through the warehouse, deep in thought. He didn’t realize Mega Man was hunting him until his legs were shot out from under him. Mega Man stepped up and fired a shot into his target’s guts. The blast was fatal, but not immediate. Mega Man took his time savoring this kill.

“I’ve been trying to kill you for quite a while. You’re a hard robot to kill. Even without your shield.” Mega Man paused a moment. “Where is your shield, anyway?”

“I.. gave it to… him…” Wood Man rasped, and in a final gesture, he pointed over Mega Man’s shoulder before he shuddered and died.

Mega Man spun, and he was able to see the rock for a split second before it crushed him flat. Guts Man whooped in glee, the shield of leaves spinning around him like parade confetti.

“Got ya, ya little blue roach! That one’s for Wily!”

With that, Guts Man set about to do what he did best, rebuilding the damaged castle that would serve as a tomb for so many.

THE BIG REVEAL!

Robot Masters (Townies!)

Metal Man (ABF) – The Vigilante. What no one knew (not even ABF) was that his metal blades could pierce the doctor’s shield (since Metal Blades are Wood Man’s weakness)

Bubble Man (JKLantern) – A townie misdirector

Quick Man (pbdeberry) – The tracker

Flash Man (webheadman) – The cop. Killing Flash Man either by lynch or night kill caused the next phase to be skipped over

Heat Man (biz567) – Day Killer. One time during the game, he could PM me the name of his victim and burn them to a cinder, ending the day phase. What he didn’t know is that it would also immediately out his identity to everyone.

Wood Man (deathstroke1134) – The doctor, although he could choose to use his leaf shield on himself. His shield offered no protection from Metal Blades, though.

Gemini Man (hot_fusion) – A double voter. What he found out was that if he was night killed, he lost his power but survived the first attack. A lynch would have killed him normally.

Hard Man (DocDoom187) – A bodyguard. He was told he had a 50% chance of driving off an attack entirely, but it was actually much lower than that.

Shadow Man (jsoccerdude) – An information gatherer whose power was based on the actions of his target AND the people who targeted his target. If a character intended to take an action, but was roleblocked, they were considered to have taken an action for this power’s purposes. (Otherwise, jsoccer would have learned the whole mafia’s identity after the Hard Man hit) He also had a chance to avoid a night kill.

If the Target:
-Took no action, was not targeted: Learn Alignment/Affiliation
-Took No action, was targeted: All characters who targeted the target
-Took Action, was not targeted: Who they targeted
-Took Action, was targeted by others: General action type taken by target

THE ORIGINAL ROBOT MASTERS

The ORM’s were aligned with (and won along with) the regular townies, except they each had an extra requirement (and powers). Each ORM had an investigating power, which would tell them if their target was their “replacement.” Each also had a 1 shot night kill. If they targeted their “replacement,” they would kill them. Otherwise, they would die. If the townies won but an ORM’s “replacement” was still alive, that ORM would lose. The ORMs were not a mason group or 2nd Mafia (but might have been in a bigger game)

Cut Man (vicious x) – A role blocker. He could not win if Metal Man was still alive.

Guts Man (bigbro911) – An inventor, he could requisition construction equipment or use equipment he already had. It was randomly selected each night, and each piece had 1 use. He had to make sure Hard Man was dead, or he’d lose.

-Industrial Drill – Alignment finder (via a spy hole)
-Cement Mixer – Role-Block
-Jackhammer – Misdirect
-Arc Welder – Target can’t post/vote next day
-Port-a-potty – Each person targeting user has 50% of “missing”
-Guts Man Rock – Night Kill

The Heroes Mafia!

Dr. Thomas Light (bamf!) – The Don, he ordered the kills. He would also show up as good as long as no Mafia members were dead, but ABF’s random assault on Iron Ham negated that power pretty much right away.

Mega Man (Antipathy) – The role-blocker, Mega Man could gain temporary powers based on his targets. Some powers were passive, while others would be used in place of his RB power. He always had the option to use his RB power, though. Any power copied lasted only until the end of the next night.

Rush (Iron Ham) – Rush was a swiss army knife. He had 3 different powers, but could not use them on more than 1 night in a row. He was a misdirector (spring board), a lawyer (rush rocket), and had the power to remove himself from the game for 1 night, rendering him untargetable (rush submarine). He got to use his misdirect power once, and then ABF put a blade in him.

The Independent

Proto Man (Rokk_Krinn) – Proto Man was a serial killer who wanted to kill everyone except Mega Man. If he did target Mega Man (as he did on Night 1), he would Role-Block Mega Man for that night, and then he would join the Mafia. His new power would have been the ability to run interference for Mega Man, so that anyone targeting Antipathy would have a 50% chance of targeting Rokk instead. Unfortunately, the Mafia decided to kill Rokk on night 1, as was evident in the write-up.
